L'hotel è vecchio ma molto piacevole. Le finestre apre una vista stupenda sulla baia. La pulizia della stanza è alta. La zona dell'hotel con una bella distanza a piedi dalla costa. personale polite.
La posizione conveniente dell'hotel rispetto all'aeroporto, si può anche camminare a minuti tranquilli per 30-40.
Defecti: mi sono annoiato colazione, scarsa e sgradevole. E potresti almeno mettere acqua nella stanza. Le piccole cose, ma dal volo è importante, soprattutto se vieni in profondità.

La camera è spaziosa con balcone. All'esterno dell'hotel, ci sono autobus pubblici che vanno al centro di Funchal. È anche situato nella zona commerciale con ristoranti e supermercati. Si può sedersi al tetto per avere una vista sul mare. Il buffet per colazione è buono. L'aeroporto è meno di mezz'ora in taxi.

Experiência fantástica, já venho há muitos anos a este hotel e acompanhei de perto a evolução e transformação deste espaço. Lugar apropriado para todo o tipo de clientes, casais e famílias. Piscina interior com a água morna super agradável e jacuzzi e sauna em funcionamento. Estava super calmo e praticamente estivemos sozinhos a usufruir destes espaços. O pequeno almoço em sistema de buffett foi excelente como sempre, muita variedade e sempre com reposição de faltas. Perfeito! Permitiram-nos o late checkout sem custos! Muito obrigada!❤️

Мы собирались в круиз; нужен был отель в пешей доступности от порта. и он превзошел ожидания, мы любим небольшие отели без снующих толп. Тут очень душевно: большой номер с окном с мелкой расстекловкой и рамой, сдвигающейся вверх. Дверь, выходящая на терраску. Пение птиц - ведь мы в саду. Ванная с двумя раковинами и ванной (так надоели неудобные душевые кабины!). Чудный завтрак, где можно по-домашнему самому отрезать хамона прямо с ноги. Интерьеры божественны! Такое снимают в фильмах про Пуаро: камины, библиотеки, огромные букеты цветов, массивные лестницы, На дверях не звонки, а разнообразные кнокеры.
Хочется вернуться.

Awesome little town and best hotel in the area I can find! Very comfortable and helpful staff! Shame I didn’t have time to try their Turkish bath room! Breakfast was a spread! And easily walkable downhill and back up (about 2 miles) to the beach restaurants of São Vicente

The room was clean, the hotel is in a really good location. The kitchenette is well equipped, you have all the basics. The building is not very well sound- proofed, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
It's a 2* hotel and reflected in the price but it's a good value for the money.

Hotel no centro do Funchal, muito agradável e aconchegante onde fiquei pela 3a vez. Atendimento simpático. Quarto muito bom, com o tamanho certo e uma cama muito confortável. O pequeno almoço também é muito bom.

Piscina riscaldata fantastica, così come hammam, sauna e jacuzzi !!
Tutto era perfetto per un soggiorno ideale, ristoranti vicino o persino quello dell'hotel.
E una camera ovviamente magnifica !!!

VVerified MemberThis was a very decent and affordable hotel — nothing fancy or luxurious, but it covers the basics quite well. It’s clean, efficient, and does the job for travelers looking for a simple place to stay. One of the best surprises was that if you’re lucky enough to get a room with ocean views, it really adds a lot of value to the overall experience.
That said, there were some clear drawbacks. The room itself felt extremely tight, especially for two people with a couple of suitcases. There was very limited space to move around, which made things feel a bit cramped and uncomfortable. The bathroom was also quite small, and while functional, it lacked the comfort you’d hope for in a multi-day stay.
One highlight was the balcony. Though the interior space was tight, the room had a good-sized balcony where we enjoyed golden hour and sunset views — that part was genuinely lovely and added a sense of openness and relaxation we didn’t get inside the room.
The most significant downside for me was the parking situation. The hotel only has three official parking spots, which are always full. Given the area is busy and surrounded by in-demand places like grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and a laundromat, street parking is very limited and expensive. I had to park at a nearby garage, which cost 10 euros overnight.
As for the rooftop, the amenities there weren’t particularly impressive — nothing that would stand out compared to more upscale hotels. But once again, the ocean and sunset views from the rooftop are stunning and give you a brief illusion of being at a five-star resort.
All in all, this hotel offers good value for money, especially if you’re not planning to spend too much time in the room. It’s a solid base for exploring the area, as long as you’re okay with a few compromises in comfort and convenience.

Posizione eccellente a Calheta, proprio su una spiaggia di sabbia dorata, con accesso diretto dall'hotel. È ideale avere un'auto poiché è a 30 minuti da Funchal.
Vale la pena pagare un extra per avere una camera con vista sul mare
La qualità e la quantità del cibo sono conformi al pacchetto all-inclusive, così come le bevande.
Animazione quotidiana e varia.
Buona spa con piscina riscaldata, bagno turco, sauna e docce fredde.
Area piscina all'aperto molto piacevole, con molti lettini e ben progettata.
Ping pong gratuito, biliardo a pagamento (3€/ora).
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

SSaraLa mia prima impressione dell'hotel non è stata affatto positiva... La porta della camera era deformata, gli infissi delle finestre erano piuttosto datati (in due notti del nostro soggiorno c'era vento e le finestre facevano molto rumore e avevano poco isolamento) ) e la stanza non aveva né asciugamani né carta igienica...
Dopo questa prima impressione le cose sono migliorate. La colazione era buona e abbastanza varia. L'hotel dispone anche di una piscina interna ed esterna gratuita e sono disponibili asciugamani. L'hotel offre un parcheggio a 7 euro a notte, ma con un po' di fortuna siamo riusciti a parcheggiare gratuitamente in una strada dietro l'hotel (dove era facile accedere all'hotel tramite una porta sul retro). Il check-in e il check-out si sono svolti senza intoppi

FFabianThe dining room -I was there for the breakfast- is an old one, not so inviting. The breakfast-selection is not so good, as a vegan or vegetarian you can't choose much (only beans & bread), the coffee is okay but not tasty, the juices are not fresh & sugary.
There is no big pot for cooking, for two persons it would be good to have one.
The bed is good, the fan does its job, the bathroom is big enough, the balcony practical.
The location is near to the busline, 30min to walk to the center & there is the Lido promenade (with some places to swim) to the next small city with a small light tunnel for pedestrians, there you can hear/see the surf :)
The opening times for the pool are too late in the morning and too short (8.00-20.00).
The female staff at the reception with the glasses (saturday evening), didn't manage my wake-up-call for the next morning (the staff at this day showed me that he had no notice for a call), thats not a good one, because sometimes you have to depend on it.

Wouldn’t be as big of an issue but there’s also very little mobile network connection, therefore use of Data was ever limited..
Breakfast - is okay, you could tell a lot of items are stored and reused days later (pastries, fresh fruits)
Pool is okay but sunbeds are uncomfortable and you can’t get a towel in morning (10am…)
Hotel management could easily make this in a 5* property with just basic additional amenities and being less greedy with add ons..
Overall for a supposedly 4 star hotel it’s more like 3.
However
Staff are quite nice and helpful
Rooms are crazy spacious (probably double what average same price hotel will get you in Portugal)
Location is good, a little further from city center (about 75min walk) but in front of a nice empty black sand beach
