Pleasant hotel, reasonable location and good value for money.
Hotel service staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help hotel guests. Special shout out to front office staff, Noureddin. He was one-person serving during night shift and early morning shift, but did his best to accomodate our requests.
Location : 5 min walk to the nearest tram station.
Not many shops or restaurants within immediate walking distance. Main CBD or Collins Street is around 4 tram stations away.
There is a fire station located next to hotel. I got a room facing the apartments, and it was a pleasant stay.
Room size : spacious. Breakfast spread was reasonable for price point.

Traveling to the airport was super convenient thanks to the nearby SkyBus. The hotel also offers luggage storage, which made things even easier for us. Our room was very spacious and looked exactly like the photos—clean, modern, and sweetly comfortable. The bedding was especially nice and cozy.
The layout of the hotel is a bit complex, so it took us a little while to find our room, and it was a bit of a walk from the elevator. Still, once we settled in, everything was great.
We didn’t use many of the hotel’s facilities, but we did enjoy the gaming area located at the back of the lobby—it was really fun and a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay.
I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay close to the SkyBus!

I had a wonderful experience staying at Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne. The location is perfect – right in the heart of the city and just a short walk to the free tram zone, which made it very convenient to explore Melbourne. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Melbourne!

Sicuramente non è il miglior hotel in cui ho soggiornato. È un hotel a tre stelle ma direi che invece sembrava un hotel a una o due stelle. Le pareti hanno bisogno di una vernice e tutte erano nere per lo sporco, presumo? Anche le stanze e i corridoi avevano uno strano odore. Sembrava un ostello piuttosto un hotel. Non posso credere di aver pagato $ 350 a notte per una stanza in questo posto. Era vivibile ma non sceglierei questo posto la prossima volta.. se tutti gli hotel a questo prezzo a Melbourne sono così, allora gli hotel di Melbourne hanno davvero bisogno di migliorare la loro professionalità e servizio

Molto amichevole e accogliente ricevitore.La stanza era pulita. Solo il problema che avevo era che non potevo guardare la TV dal letto. Lo so, giusto?
Mi piacerebbe avere un altro coperchio dal tavolo, ma non ho un coperchio elettrico, ma ho sempre imballato una bottiglia d'acqua calda.
Situazione perfetta vicino al centro della città.

1. Location near to QVM otherwise easily a 10-15 mins to majority eateries and place of interest
2. Liquid Detergent only a Sachet would prefer a dispenser (wall mount) with proper sponge
3. Heater was not working on 2 nights and on the 2nd night have to get someone from front desk to check it out (2.40am) it was running 16•C when we set it to 30•C. Front desk guy was helpful gave us 1 portable heater and 3 thick blankets. Next day it was fixed.
4. Would prefer separate for Shampoo, Conditioner and Shower foam vs combination
5. Hanger in the open wardrobe can be improved it was crooked
6. Pillows were simply too soft asked for additional ones
7. Housekeeping need to be requested and they did just tidying up bedsheets and throwing of trash generally acceptable
Would have chosen another location if I would like to have more accessibility to shopping or eating places
8. Carpark charges is $39/night a bit on the costly side
9. Lift by the way connects to the carpark shown as UG but it was not shown and having to take the stairs for past days till the last day
10. Nice lobby with good seating areas and water dispenser machine

酒店好靚設計，家具好喜歡，又乾淨企理。部份酒店用品喜歡的可以買走。位置屬於free tram zone 外，坐tram去CBD地區需要車費，但其實使用Uber都十分方便。天台逢星期五晚酒店有活動，就算冇活動日子夜晚對住火爐，睇星星都好正！！
平日比較冷清，週六日就十分熱鬧，酒店樓下及對面停車場有活動，可以行下Market同飲咖啡 :)

Room was lovely except for the dirty tissue under the bed. Service in the restaurant was a little slow and the scotch fillet at $49.00 was very expensive considering half of it was gristle.
Overall, will always go back to the Mantra as the rates are good and great location for what I need.

Very good hotel but we had an issue locating the main entrance upon arrival, so we alighted at the basement carpark near the ******. Very cozy environment and very functionable. The view was stunning. The beds are comfortable but a bit high for my mum as she is not so tall. We asked for an additional chair as there were 4 of us but only 1 chair, which never arrived. It would also be good if the shower head had not been fixed as the water was too cold when turned on.

CClarrence LeoWe are a family of 5 adult and 1 infant, and we booked 2 rooms separately. We primarily chose this hotel because of the good location next to the domestic terminal and a not-so-expensive price point (compared to Parkroyal which was directly opposite the hotel). The rooms were decently-sized, nothing too luxurious as it catered mainly to travellers transferring in the airport. The hotel had a massive gym, which was surprisingly given that it was mostly empty but they had all kinds of equipment catering to all body parts. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was OK. Not the best food, but at least it filled out stomachs with the standard spread of Western food - fruits, bread, eggs and bacons etc. All in all, would recommend this hotel if you are transitioning at Melbourne for a night and looking for an affordable yet not too shabby place to sleep!

The shower was a little weird when I turned on the hot water, strange sounds came about and the filling blasting water would suddenly turn into drips. I had to turn the handle further to fix the issue.

UUtente ospiteWe initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience.
One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils.
While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over.
His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel.
I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

Vvan0ffthewallStayed at Ibis Kingsgate for two weeks as I was here to celebrate my birthday. It is my second time staying here; I also came here last year for two weeks and for my birthday!
The hotel is located within a good and safe area - which is great for solo travellers such as myself.
I’ve seen families at this hotel too.
Ibis Kingsgate is within the free tram zone (you can take the 86 or 96), with access to many amenities nearby such as Coles, Woolies, Southern Cross Station (great for when you have to catch the SkyBus), My Chemist, and a range of food and cafe options.
Located at the cross junction of King and Bourke St, the hotel is also walking distance to other popular streets such Elizabeth, Queen, Williams, Colins, Lonsdale, La Trobe, and more! Flinders is nearby too, and you can just cut across to Southbank as well! In fact, you can even walk to Lygon, Docklands or even as far as Collingwood, which I did!
If walking is not your thing, there are also many options for trams, trains, and buses near this hotel.
Room is adequate and clean, with a nice range of television channels. There’s a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which is occasionally refilled. Bathroom is good too; sufficient and spacious enough, and for some - there’s even a window in the bathroom!
The hotel staff are nice and it’s always great to be back. Thank you for the room upgrade, it made my trip even more special. I returned the gesture by keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible. ;p

BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one.
Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now.
Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!).
I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone.
The beds were comfortable though!
The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.

Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great

KKarinaCannot fault the staff however the amenities need overhaul. The rooms TV didn’t work was advised couldn’t be fixed until the following day. Went to use hairdryer to find out no power points on that side of room were working. Again advised cant be fixed straight away. Had to use TV as a mirror for blow drying hair! Then we continued to get calls after 10pm from reception checking if everything was alright despite being told it cannot be fixed. Really disappointing. On a positive to GM and receptionist Cheryl were outstanding in trying to assist and did remove some charges.

The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.
The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.
