The location is excellent, surrounded by great choices for restaurants, bars and convenience shops. Happy hour at the hotel 4-6pm about $14 for a schooner and wine. The room though was dated, and not the best value for money.
Parking at the hotel is limited but has nearby parking options which cost less than the hotel’s daily rate.

Our 2nd stay here. We left something on our first stay 2 months ago and they have kept it until our current stay - which is wonderful.
Easy to check-in and check-out. Great location close to Emu Bank. Modern room and have all the basic amenities. Great storage space for a bit of longer stay and great size fridge that would fit a whole cake if you have one with you. Generally happy with our stay

Our first experience with A by Adina was in Sydney, so we decided to try the one in Canberra. We loved the vibe, the cleanliness, and the layout of the room we stayed in. The gym was smaller than I expected but it was good enough for me to get in a workout. We were celebrating my partner's birthday and usually at other hotels, we would be given something like a small chocolate or a complimentary beverage but we didn't receive anything so don't expect something if you're celebrating a special occasion during your stay. The location is amazing as it is within walking distance to Canberra City Centre and surrounding suburbs. Would recommend this hotel if you want to stay close to the CBD.

Il soggiorno in Wooden è stato il più bel motel che abbiamo soggiornato per molto tempo . La posizione era grande . Il personale era molto amichevole e utile e il ristorante serviva grande cibo . Si consiglia molto questo posto per chiunque cerca un motel moderno e conveniente e pulito

JJamieWe recently stayed at the Canberra Rex Hotel as a family of three, traveling from Sydney to celebrate the New Year. While there were some positive aspects, our overall experience was disappointing.
Starting with the positives, the reception staff were very nice and courteous, which we appreciated. We liked that it is very near a light rail station and quite close to parks, restaurants, and cafes.
The layout of the hotel posed challenges. Our room was quite far from the lifts, and with only two lifts positioned side by side in a corner of the building, accessibility was inconvenient. It seems the hotel design is to blame, as the lifts are not centrally located like in most hotels.
One of the biggest letdowns was the pool. We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, hoping our little one could enjoy it. Unfortunately, the pool heater was not working, and the water was freezing cold. To make matters worse, we noticed some bugs in the pool, which was unsettling. The staff wouldn’t have known the heater wasn’t working if we hadn’t informed them. It felt like the pool's maintenance and condition were overlooked, which was a major disappointment for us. Had we known that we won't be able to enjoy the pool, we would've settled in a hotel that is far more affordable.
As compensation for the pool issue, we requested and were granted a late check-out, which was a kind gesture from the hotel. However, it didn’t feel adequate given the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced.
Additionally, the King Suite we stayed in had some practical flaws. It only had one bin, which was insufficient for a family of three, as it filled up quickly. Another inconvenience was the shower area, which didn’t have any shelves. This meant we had to place shampoo and conditioner bottles on the floor while showering, which was far from ideal.
Overall, while the reception staff’s service was commendable, the hotel fell short in terms of facilities and maintenance. I hope the management takes these points into consideration for future guests.

TTravelerAShaIf you make a quick trip to Canberra for leisure, I recommend this hotel, which locates just 10 min walk from the terminal building. It is super convenient to hop a R3 bus to the city center.

Overall very good value for money, good location. An adequate budget hotel if comfortable staying somewhere comfortable not wearing top of the range clothing with top of the range accessories.

UUtente ospiteIbis Budget Canberra is at a distance of some 7 km from the city centre which is quite remote and not easily accessible, especially at night time. On the other hand, Ibis Budget room charge is quite competitive and is ideal for travelers who have limited budgets. The concierges are polite and helpful and help make your stay very pleasant.

SSaffat BinService was good at this property. Beautiful hotel. Food in this hotel was exceptionally good. However, the bathroom in the hotel room was a little old fashioned and the walk-in-shower in the bathroom had a leak in it which caused the bathroom to get flooded whenever a shower was taken.

AAniteraniumChecked in and found out my bed was occupied by someone else. Reported to staff members and they quickly arranged me into a new room and new bunk. Overall the stay was satisfying, location is excellent and price is affordable. Would recommend for a short stay in Canberra.

EElaine Yuen YanThe hotel is quite good. The parking was in increased to A$28 if not pre-booked but trip.com says only A$15 and no need to book. The hotel ended up waiving the first night parking when we asked and we parked on the street the next day.
The hotel room is very big and the beds are quite firm and comfortable. The bathroom is a good size but would appreciate rubbish bags into the bins because it feels like I can't even put in banana peel because I don't want it to go to mush inside the bin and someone has to dig it out and wash the bin.
There is an iron and ironing board in the room with safe, extra blanket and pillows. The only complaint for the room is probably the noisy air conditioning.
Food at the bistro inside the hotel was pretty good for dinner and the buffet breakfast had a good variety but it is the same everyday.

Tutto era senza spot, comodo e molto pensato in ciò che ci serviva come viaggiatori.
Il cibo era fantastico per colazione e cena. I migliori pasti che abbia mai mangiato in un lungo periodo.
La questione che abbiamo avuto è stata una difficoltà a controllare. Non c'è nessuna persona che possa aiutare con niente.
Saremo certamente di nuovo!
