Il Hogs Head Inn di Alnwick era esattamente quello che cercavamo. Tutto era fornito - cibo, bevande, cani (fato molto benvenuto), parcheggio e una grande, pulita. camera da letto. Era una guida in città, ma le strutture che l'Inn facilmente ha costruito per questo. Il personale era molto amichevole e molto utile - niente era troppo difficile, ci hanno fatto molto benvenuti e hanno facilmente soddisfatto le mie esigenze dietetiche (gratuito e vegetariano). È stato chiaro che è un buon posto per lavorare, perché il personale era sempre felice. Il tè, il caffè, il latte eccetera erano disponibili se necessario. La stanza era molto comoda e grande abbastanza per noi e il nostro cane con spazio per risparmiare! Non posso trovare colpa per il Hogs Head Inn.

Dopo un viaggio di 20 ore, tuttavia, in tutta giustizia, era il pranzo e il ristorante era imballato. In 5 minuti siamo stati portati in unità di 2 camere da letto, con un biglietto per il colazione per la mattina successiva e lasciati a noi stessi a ohhh e ahh alla cucina e pulizia di tutti gli spazi all'interno. Stoffe da bagno soft, caffè, con molte scelte. Accogliente zona di soggiorno con grandi finestre e vista sulla piccola zona parcheggio lungo la strada. Tutto ha funzionato come dovrebbe e non abbiamo problemi. La posizione è secondaria a nessuno. A pochi passi dal castello e dai bellissimi negozi di città, ancora tranquilli e tranquilli. Eravamo li' per 2 notti e avevamo tutti i nostri pasti al loro splendido ristorante di benvenuto. Ogni pasto era ordinato rapidamente, portato a noi rapidamente e servito con un sorriso amichevole e un po' di chat. E il cibo era così buono! ... Voglio dire, davvero delizioso e sorprendente e giusto prezzo. Non posso raccomandarli abbastanza, per alloggio, cibo e posizione. Il resto dei nostri alloggi e ristoranti di viaggio sono stati costantemente confrontati con Bottiglie sporche e mani in basso, nessuno si avvicinava nè benché tutti i nostri hotel soggiorni, questo era di gran lunga il prezzo più basso.

Best Sunday lunch. It was my brothers birthday and he asked for recommendations in Alnwick as if was a mid way point between him and his wife in Durham and their son and wife in Tranent for Sunday lunch along with other family members . Well this place was fantastic lovely cosy bar area with plenty of room. We were a table of 10 with one high chair and a dog. The staff were so welcoming nothing was a problem, the roast sirloin was to die for and there was a great selection of vegetables, roast and mashed potato, swede, carrots, peas, cauliflower cheese and red cabbage, also the most enormous Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy with an extra jug also supplied, others had the pork, ham and brisket all of which were delicious. We also had two very young children who had the junior chicken portions which were huge but they more or less demolished them. Everything was perfect, a big thank you to the chef, waiting staff and bar staff, we will be back

Our stay at the White Swan, Alnwick, turned out to be a very expensive disappointment. The 'Standard' room was small with very tired decor and came with a second single bed that was neither required nor requested, which further restricted the already limited space. The shower failed to drain properly, resulting in the water overflowing onto the floor, which had to be soaked up using spare towels. The fault was reported several times but never resolved during our stay. On the final night, we were moved to a 'Superior' room due to the toilet in the original room failing to drain. Unfortunately, the new room had the same issue with the shower failing to drain properly. This hotel is in need of a serious overhaul of its plumbing. For the price paid, you would have expected a 'Superior' room with fully functioning facilities. Overall, it was a very disappointing and expensive experience.

What a fabulous place! An ex convent, it is pure class and luxury throughout. Situated right by Alnwick Castle. Owned by the lovely Debbie who was always present for a chat, which made it feel very personal. We stayed in 'The Chapel'. Wow! What a room! The attention to detail is amazing. Gorgeous decor. Beautiful windows. (The tea/coffee tray also had fresh coffee and a cafetiere, with a jar of lovely cookies and some hand made chocolates.) Loved the copper bath and was very impressed by the hair straighteners and curling wand in the wardrobe, very thoughtful! Breakfast was excellent and the scallops and venison were a beautiful dinner. The whole interior is gorgeous! Very blue and white. We can't wait to return and couldn't recommend it more. Well done to Debbie and all your team for such a wonderful product!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgian Guest house in York. It was centrally located just outside the old city walls and an easy walk to all attractions. The host was incredibly helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. We would love to return here
