"This homestay was great. The location is perfect to be both near the main road in case you need to get a didi or explore outside the old town, but also perfect to explore the old town itself.
The bed was okay, the pillows are not very comfortable.
It's quite clean, the only two things we found were a grape behind the bathroom door and the drain of the shower was clogged so the water was overflowing, we cleaned it ourselves. Overall, it's clean and the staff is very nice and helpful.
Also, the room with the round bathtub doesn't have a bathroom door, just a curtain, but the one without tub does have a door, so keep that in mind when choosing your room."

"L'accoglienza è stata calorosa, con Cassie che parlava inglese per noi, una cosa difficile da trovare negli hotel in Cina.
Ottima posizione all'interno della Città Antica, ma vicino a un cancello d'ingresso, il che è molto comodo se si hanno bagagli. Ci hanno fatto un upgrade gratuito della camera.

"Sono arrivato a Lijiang e ci ho passato la prima notte, poi sono andato alla Gola di Hodo e ci sono rimasto per altre due notti. La stanza era spaziosa, con acqua calda e riscaldamento a portata di mano. C'era qualcuno che parlava inglese e ho potuto chiedere aiuto tramite WeChat quando avevo domande, il che è stato molto utile. Le finestre si affacciano sulla strada, quindi il rumore era inevitabile. Ho usato i tappi per le orecchie forniti. "The location is slightly away from the busy ancient town. But the back door is just behind the main road and the front.door will.lead you to the ancient town. Very convenient to get a taxi or pick ups to go for your tour. Also there are a few halal eateries nearby. Which i think is very important for muslim travellers. So you should book this hotel if halal food is your priority. The rooms are clean and well maintained but the beds are a bit on the hard side. They also provide a washing machine for you to do your laundry. The hotel owner is pleasantly nice, he is always around to answer your questions via wechat or if you like to book any packages he is ready to assist. 🙂"

"È difficile scegliere una casa vacanze a Lijiang. Ho scelto questa. È molto vicina a Mufu e al mercato di Zhongyi. Il cancello non è completamente affacciato sulla strada. È un po' in mezzo al vicolo. È riservata e non rumorosa. Ci vuole solo 1 minuto a piedi per raggiungere Mufu e 5 minuti per il mercato di Zhongyi. Ci sono molti piatti deliziosi in giro. Siamo rimasti per 3 giorni consecutivi. Il proprietario del negozio è stato molto accogliente. Ho aggiunto WeChat e li ho trattati come se fossero di famiglia. Abbiamo usato una piccola auto per spedire i bagagli sulla strada principale all'andata e al ritorno. Era troppo faticoso trascinare i bagagli per strada nella città antica. I noodles di riso ”cross-bridge” consigliati dal proprietario del negozio erano davvero deliziosi. Ho mangiato un'altra celebrità di Internet, ma non era deliziosa come quella consigliata. Penso sia meglio scegliere una locanda vicino alla strada per un facile accesso. Penso che il mercato di Zhongyi sia più divertente per mangiare e passeggiare rispetto ai negozi della città antica, ahah!"

"Abbiamo letto le recensioni e ci sembravano quasi esagerate, e invece abbiamo la stessa opinione! La posizione è perfetta, fuori dalla città antica ma a 10 minuti di cammino ed è bellissimo passeggiare nelle vie illuminate!! La camera è in ordine, lenzuola pulite, piccolo spazio per fare una colazione autonoma, bagno pulito (Smart) con acqua calda. C è una terrazzina in alto per vedere un pochino di città. La gestione è super amichevole, il proprietario è disponibile in tutto e per tutto: ci ha aiutato con un tour, ci ha aiutato per biglietti del treno, ci ha invitato a cena, ci ha portato in giro per la città ad ascoltare musica del luogo. Siamo stati benissimo, ci siamo divertiti un sacco e se dovessimo tornare sceglieremmo sicuramente questo posto! Grazie Xiao Wei, ci hai fatto sentire parte della famiglia!"

"The staff were exceptionally accommodating and caring, they helped us get tickets and taxis and were patient with our requests.
The rooms were spacious, even the smaller ones, and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom is a nice size as well, although the water pressure isn't great, you can at least expect really hot showers.
Every evening, when we got back to our rooms, a warm soup was waiting for us, which was very soothing and perfect to wind down for the night.
For breakfast you have the option to have the local MiXian noodles or congee with extras; a simple but filling breakfast that makes you feel ready for the day ahead.
Lastly, they transported our luggage from the hotel to the entrance of the Ancient Town, which is very convenient. You may also request this service upon arrival to the Ancient Town, and they will pick up your bags whilst you have a look around.
We definitely would recommend staying here!"

UUtente ospiteEverything about this place, from location to hospitality, is amazing! The homestay arranged to pick us up at an intersection and carried our luggages all the way.
The sound proofing of the rooms are not that good though, so a word of caution for light sleepers.
During our stay, 小李 took really good care of us, never failed to ask what we intended to do on each day, provided help and suggestionsto us on what to do. We started and ended each day chatting with him. 😊
On our check out day, we had to leave at 6.30am to Shangri-La and 小李 woke up to help us with our luggages and waited with us till our driver came! We could not thank him enough and appreciate him going all the way to help us.
We had a wonderful 5-day stay and Lijiang made an impression on us. We definitely recommend anyone to stay there..

There aren’t many restaurants nearby, but food delivery is available, and the hotel also offers convenient shuttle service to the Old Town if needed. The afternoon tea was delightful, and the breakfast was equally delicious. The entire hotel is beautifully designed with great attention to detail—an elegant and thoughtfully crafted space overall.

UUtente ospiteLa posizione del club è di fronte alla Mu Mansion, il che è molto comodo per andare ovunque. Il capo è di Chengdu ed è molto entusiasta. Utilizzerà un carrello per aiutare con il trasporto dei bagagli. Il cortile ha un sentiero un po' tortuoso che conduce a un luogo appartato. Non appena siamo entrati, siamo stati trattati con un tè nella sala da tè. La fragranza del tè era rilassante e siamo entrati rapidamente nel ritmo lento di Lijiang. Il capo ha tirato fuori una mappa del tesoro e ci ha ricordato di stare molto attenti quando si visita il percorso per evitare trappole! Ci hanno consigliato tre ristoranti e abbiamo scelto il Dianshan Snow Fish, che aveva un sapore assolutamente incredibile. L'ambiente dell'alloggio non ha niente da dire, quindi forza! ! ! GGRACEOur stay at Yinjian Inn was absolutely delightful, and we’d strongly recommend it to anyone traveling to Lijiang. The hospitality here is unparalleled and truly top-notch. From the moment we booked, the inn's owner reached out to us via WeChat. She responded promptly to all our queries, making us feel cared for and welcomed. Communication was smooth and friendly throughout our 3D2N stay. I really need to point out the EXCEPTIONAL service provided by the owner and staff. For those familiar with 丽江古城 (Old Town of Lijiang), you’d know how challenging it can be to navigate its cobblestone streets, especially with heavy luggage. The inn owner kindly helped us carry our bulky luggage from the Didi drop-off point to our rooms, which was a lifesaver. Moreover, she noticed that my grandparents had some difficulty walking and graciously upgraded us to a larger family room on the ground floor to spare them from climbing stairs. Every day, we were treated to dessert soup, fresh fruits, and a hearty breakfast. It felt like being pampered with home-cooked meals that left us feeling nourished and too full to enjoy the other street food sold in the 古城. Situated on 狮子山 (Lion Hill) within 丽江古城, Yinjian Inn boasts one of the best locations in the area. Perched at the highest point, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, both from the rooms and the nearby Didi drop-off point, which is just a minute's walk away. While the walk down to the busier parts of the 古城 is easy and filled with charming shops and eateries, the climb back up can be a bit of a workout. However, the picturesque views and opportunities to rest and visit the stores along the way more than make up for it. Our room was clean and well-furnished, blending modern comfort with traditional Chinese aesthetics. The room included all the necessary amenities- also don't worry, there is a bidet with all sorts of cool functions. My family and I left with full hearts (and stomachs!) and immense gratitude for the care we received. So YES, please don't hesitate to choose this place :)

Llittle-cloudWe stayed at Stone Hotel 石头厝 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! I am so glad we discovered it after searching on Trip.com for quite a while. We were looking for a hotel in Lijiang that is quiet and peaceful, with views of Yulong Snow Mountain, and has the modern comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel.
The hotel is located outside of Lijiang town, approximately 30-40min drive, and right next to Yuhu Village. If we needed to go anywhere, the hotel provides a car drop-off service in a luxurious MPV. It’s also easy to call a car on DiDi.
The room is beautifully designed with elements of copper and wood, blending modern and traditional. The bed and pillows are among the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Being a city girl, I’m delighted with the Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speaker, and Aesop hand soap! The free mini fridge is stocked with beer, Perrier sparkling water, soft drinks, and if not enough, just pop over to the restaurant where the fridge and fruit bar is open and free all day! The amazing variety of fruits are the sweetest I’ve tasted, all grown locally. Even the nuts are sweet, I think they roast them in some sweet milk. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes but we had hotpot every dinner just because the soup is so delicious and the meats so tender. At dinner, the Naxi brothers will drink a toast and sing for every guest as their way of welcoming the guests and treating them as friends. If you dare to, try their local herbal/fruit alcohol (very strong!) We also love that for breakfast, they serve a selection of local side dishes which we enjoyed trying.
Their concierge/front desk team welcomed us warmly even before arriving (via WeChat), and supported us very well throughout our stay. The whole experience of coordinating airport pickup and booking their various activities and amenities (afternoon tea, evening drink, dinner, car) was seamless and fast. Before going out, the front desk staff always makes sure that we are well equipped for the day with water, umbrella, oxygen, chocolates. All the staff are always happy and friendly, making us feel like we are friends because the service is so personalized. We chatted with many of them and had the chance to learn a little about each of them, their lives and their culture. They know that we love playing with their dogs and the little lamb DuoDuo, and gave us many chances to play with them and even feed little DuoDuo. One can feel that they love their work there.
After leaving, we are still missing little DuoDuo, the amazing staff and warm hospitality, and the comfortable room. I’ve traveled to many places, and this is one of the rare times where I miss the place and the people so much. We highly recommend Stone Hotel 石头厝 to anyone visiting Lijiang! And I hope we have to chance to come back and stay with them again.

BBTanTLThe Villa had a lovely view of 玉龙雪山, and a heated pool which was great. It was our wedding anniversary and the hotel kindly prepared a nice deco on the bed and also gave us a very nice cake! The hotel staff Heby added us on WeChat and was super helpful and responsive. Any problems we had, she resolved it regardless of hours. If there is one thing I’ll hope for improvement, it would be that the property itself seemed a bit dated. The Villa lock was spoilt and a padlock 🔓 was used, TV was rather old, etc. Overall we had a great 3 night stay.

SSheryl 宜芬Cleanliness: room was slightly dusty. Spiders and insects in the room, but expected because it has many oriental decorations that require constant cleaning to prevent dust accummulation.
Location: convenient, it’s of walking distance to the north gate, easy to stroll around to different parts of the ancient town.
Service: I have never given a bad review for the service attitude of any accomodations which I’ve stayed at in China, but I honestly think that the service here is mediocre and more reactive than proactive. They fulfil the basics of bringing your luggage up to your room, giving directions to the laundry and breakfast areas and arranging for pick up from the station to the hotel for a stay of at least three consecutive nights. I cannot speak for all the service staff, but the service staff that mainly tended to me during the stay definitely needs to be improved. He was helpful when I needed help for the laundry setting. However, when I needed help with booking tickets to snow mountain (I’m a foreigner and do not have a local number), it was a rather frustrating experience. He shared that the booking of tickets to Yulong Snow Mountain can be done 3-4 days in advance, and he could help me when I arrive at the accommodations. When I arrived, it was 4 days in advance but he was rather nonchalent and did not manage to help me secure tickets for my intended date of visit and had to eventually rely on the tour group to help change dates. The night before the tour visit, I had to reach out on wechat to ask about when and where the meeting point is for the tour. Even after the tour, I even had to ask several times to pay for the tour tickets as he had helped me to secure the ticket to the glacier park cablecar eventually. I had already shared that I could not transfer money on wechat and could only do via scanning his wechat/alipay qr code or vice versa. I feel that given that you guys are located in Lijiang and located near to Jade Snow Mountain, you should have encountered other customers who need help with the booking and this shouldn’t have been such a stressful tour booking experience.
Amenities: they have two all-in-1 washing machine and drying amenities which was rather helpful. In the original room which i had booked, the air con leaked at around 10pm+. I texted the service staff on wechat and another staff came 5-10minutes later to check. This staff said it’s normal for the air con to leak at times especially if it’s blocked. After checking, he offered to change rooms for me. He helped me to move my luggage to the new room. There was no form of apology by any of the staff on the day itself when the incident happened. It was only on the next day when I requested for check-out transportation services to the railway station for the following day, where the staff who mainly tended to be apologised for the aircon leakage and offered complimentary transport services to the railway station.
I’ve stayed in many accomodations in Yunnan but this was the most disappointing stay thus far and I will definitely not be back again.
