The Homestay is located not far from two of the entrances to the village of Hongcun, and one of the owners came and picked us up at the gates, and offered to carry our luggage. The house is very real, they have three lovely pets and are extremely welcoming and helpful. I speak a little Chinese so communication was fairly easy, but with the translation apps I guess it would be as easy. The owner was kind to explain a couple of things about the village and to give us helpful informations on our trip to Huangshan of the following day. She even made a phone call to ensure we could buy tickets at the departure of the cable cars. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is what we were looking for.
