This traditional hotel is located in the beautiful Steinbachtal district at the foot of the Dallenberg, south of Würzburg city center. The Hotel Postkutscherl, which opened in 1896, has long enjoyed a good reputation in Würzburg for its cozy atmosphere. The stylish rooms have been completely renovated and now feature modern furniture, underfloor heating and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant and beer garden will be under new management and independent from May 1st, 2024. (hello@wirtshaus-postkutscherl.de). Guests of the Hotel Postkutscherl can park for free at the hotel or below the property on the left side. There is a tram stop in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, from which you can reach the city center in just a few minutes. Preise am Anschlag, fast alle Gerichte mit Pommes als Beilage. Die Pommes werden offensichtlich vorfrittiert und vor dem Servieren nochmal in der Fritteuse erwärmt. Das sieht und schmeckt man, ist auch doppelt so ungesund, was leider auch den Kindern zugemutet wird. Eine Portion Ketchup oder Mayo kostet 50 Cent, die Menge bewegt sich im Milliliterbereich.

Schöne alte Steinhäuser im Steinbachtal. Modern renoviert und liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Täglicher Zimmerservice. Zum Frühstück gibts warm und kalt, teils frisch zubereitet, nette kleine Ideen mit Extra-Schmankerl. Genial gelegen, um direkt los zu wandern, oder mit der Straßenbahn oder mit Bus (Haltestelle vor dem Haus) die Region zu erkunden. Ob Stadtbummel in Würzburg oder mit dem Main-Schiff zum nahegelegenen Rokokogarten der Fürstbischöfe in Veitshöchheim, oder den EU-Mittelpunkt in Gadheim erwandern, mit Schlenker über den Stein-Wein-Pfad. Und natürlich die urigen fränkischen Wein-Lokale oder Weinfeste genießen. Ein rundum genüßlicher Kurzurlaub.
