Excellent hotel. Great value for the price. Breakfast has a large varity, and the staff were extreamly helpful with recommendations with restaurant suggestions and with things to do. Its a nice safe place with loads of ammentities in and around the area!

It should be a nice neighbourhood, but the outside of the hotel is as sketchy as anything downtown. The front door was locked when we arrived in the early evening, making me think this is a dangerous place and probably my car is going to be broken into overnight. Clientele hanging around the lobby and out front add to the feeling that this is a lower-rent hotel than I thought it would be. The whole vibe was more McLaren Hotel than Hotel Fort Garry, if you know what I mean. I would have slept better if I had spent the extra money to stay elsewhere.
