Whittlebury Hall and Spa

Stayed there last week and enjoyed the experience. The staff in Aston restaurant were wonderful, nothing was too much to ask. We asked for burgers even though it wasn’t on the menu. Leonadra asked the chef and we enjoyed our burgers. The staff in the pool area were very nice and welcoming. I would go back again.

Went here on Saturday 20th April with my wife. I’d been to the Silverstone Grand Prix but apart from that had not been to this part of the UK. The hotel itself is very close to the circuit and about a half hour drive from Bletchley Park museum. Prior to arriving I had read mixed reviews so was a little apprehensive as to what it what it would be like. On arrival parking was easy and only a short walk to reception, checking in was super quick. We had booked a club room which included robes and wine, it was a nice size with a view over the golf course and had all the trappings I would expect to see such as fridge, safe, plenty of storage and a nice size en-suite . Had two great nights sleep, Had an evening meal on both nights in the Aston restaurant, very reasonably priced and very quite simply lovely! The service also was excellent, special mention to our waitress Grace who was extremely attentive . The Silverstone Bar was very homely and also reasonably priced . If I was to be ultra picky I would say that the reception area could do with a little sprucing up, also good as the food and service were in the Aston restaurant , it is a windowless room with all the tables set out in rows which I felt was a little strange . That said it was a lovely weekend and I would not hesitate to come back again and I would also recommend the hotel to others . Thanks very much

The check-in staff and experience was faultless. The room was great as we're all the facilities. Breakfast could have been better 3 chances to get a boiled egg right! The grounds we very well kept the on site golf course looked good however we did not use it

Stayed in a group of seven on a golf package. The golf course, hotel, food and service were all excellent. The bar was welcoming and service prompt. Our only complaint was that the clubhouse bar which is a short distance from the hotel shut at 4pm. This was the only place where you could watch live sport. Closing so early seemed strange as people were still playing golf, then entering the bar only to be told it had closed and they had to go to the hotel. Needs a re-think from management.

This 5 star review is solely based on our experience dining with Georg. He is a superstar, absolutely made our trip. He is an asset the the business and deserves a promotion like yesterday!!!! Honestly. The best dining experience we have had. He was charming, funny, Attentive and his service was second to none. I would recommend family and friends to this establishment on any day that George is working. Once again, thank you George, you made whole weekend memorable, thank you!!! FAO of managers - as a manager in a prestige dealership the service that George gave us exactly what I would want my team to give, please make sure he is appreciated and shown all the love.

The Twilight Spa offers a tranquil experience, but it seems to be showing its age compared to contemporary standards. While the services provided are commendable, a refresh in its aesthetics and amenities could enhance the overall guest experience, ensuring it keeps pace with the evolving expectations of spa enthusiasts. An update could reinvigorate the space, making it a more inviting and modern retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation.

We enjoyed our spa day it was everything we could have wanted! Spa great and cocktails yummy and treatments were fabulous! After a day of relaxing we checked into our room and were disturbed by children running around and screaming in courtyard that our hotel room looked out to. When we looked outside we saw that they were throwing a tennis ball around and one was kicking a chair and then stood on the table. We left this for a little while and it got progressively worse. We called reception as we didn’t think it was acceptable the money spent to be relaxing but disturbed by kids. We have kids so wanted to get away from that. The reception lady was pleasant and offered us another room. We declined and said we would rather not as we had just settled and why should we have to move. The lady said she could see them and would speak to them which I believe that she did as the kids went in as it was quiet . Half an hour later they came back out doing the same thing and the tennis ball actually hit our window. We didn’t say anything again as we were about to leave for dinner but we were shocked they were allowed to come out again. This area doesn’t have a park etc so not sure why they were allowed to be playing in there screaming and shouting when the courtyard is surrounded by windows and rooms. If we had have checked in and seen that we were next to a play area we would have asked to move instantly! When we went for dinner we actually realised that some of the courtyard was windows to the restaurant. How annoying for the people eating in that area and also what if the tennis ball smashed a window! We were really disappointed with how this was handled. If you are going make sure you aren’t over looking the courtyard with green floor and brown tables as it’s a play area!

We wanted to treat my sister whom was visiting from abroad to the spa at Whittlebury Hall and due to unforeseen circumstances had not realised the date on our booking was a day early. The staff at Whittlebury Hall had only made us aware of this 4 hours after we had missed our check-in leading to us missing out on our treatments, lunch and use of the facilities. The staff refused the opportunity to re-schedule and made it clear that they would offer no refund in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. This has completely ruined our holiday and we cannot in good faith recommend anyone to visit Whittlebury Hall which is clearly an establishment in decline which does not care or its customers. Further the fact that Whittlebury Hall only called us after 4 hours suggest they wanted to keep our payment without providing any services. On what planet would any reasonable person not call someone who was delayed after 1 hour? Save yourself a headache and visit another spa.
