Very disappointed in Sunday lunch. We both ordered a hot joint sandwich expecting a little more than a slice of meat between 2 slices of bread served with nachos (?) & the tiniest little salad. For €11/12 I’d expect better presentation & effort from The Whitford. I’ve never been served a hot joint sandwich like this ever before

Beautiful hidden hotel. We managed to get a table on a packed night and food was delicious. We had a wonderful waitress with a great memory. Food was tasty, little bit pricey but good portions and couldn't move after eating. Great choice something for everyone on the menu.

Couldn't praise this restraunt enough. Amazing food. Would recommend the fish and chicken wings. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Restraunt had a great atmosphere. Really and truly a great experience. Will definitely recommend and we will be back

My wife and I decided to take a mid-week break, and picked the Whitford House Hotel due to the very positive reviews. We are glad we did. Every member of staff gave us a genuine warm welcome. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated with a contemporary twist on the traditional style. We even got a bit of an upgrade, with a small garden area outside our room, and a lovely plate of fresh fruit and pastries as it was our first anniversary. Very unexpected, but very much appreciated. Unfortunately, the Seasons restaurant was closed whilst we were there, but the food in the Forthside Bar and Bistro was superb and very satisfying. We had booked directly with the hotel and got a package that included breakfast each morning, and a three course meal each on one night of our stay. Bargain! The place had a lovely, family atmosphere, mostly due to the staff who were very attentive, kind and a pleasure to chat to. We also found the hotel a convenient base from which to explore Wexford from. Sad to leave, but hopeful to return. Highly recommended!

I have just come back from a stay in the Whitford Hotel to Celebrate my Aunts 90th Bithday , from when we enterted the doors the same made us so welcome , they went above and Beyond in everything they did Rooms are spotless , The Food is delicious , great choices available , breakfast cooked fresh to order. Staff made my Aunt and her Sister feel so special , Andrew in the bar is a complete Gentleman even playing some Nat King Cole in the bar as it was her favourite song . Even the chef in the kitchen came out to wish my Aunt a special Birthday , we coukd not have had a more perfect place to spend the few days . We will definitely return and Could not speak highly enough about all the staff who looked after us . Truly exceptional .

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it never fails to exceed my expectations. Kerbside appeal is important and the building from outside is stunning. Service is exceptional and a courtesy phone call before arrival to book dinner/breakfast is the norm. Reception couldn’t be more friendly and a warm Irish welcome is guaranteed. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with an array of facilities as standard. I always use the pool and leisure centre which is a great start to any stay. The staff here are so friendly and common thread throughout the hotel. I cannot recommend the bar/restaurant enough and it’s essential to book. A testament to the chef who has a clear passion for food . The maitre de front of house is worthy of particular mention as he runs the restaurant like a well oiled machine no matter how busy. I love everything about this hotel and the big Hotel chains could learn a lot about customer service from this outstanding family run business. Looking forward to my next visit in July.

We ordered The Yorkie - absolutely fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection for each individual. The food came out piping hot. The flavour was amazing. Plenty of food on the plate. The staff were very friendly and polite. The staff were helpful and always kept an eye on the table in case we needed anything. Would highly recommend a visit. Book a table before you go because if seems to fill up fast.

We, a party of three, dropped in for lunch on a busy Monday. One of our party (a 98 year old) was in a wheelchair and the staff made every effort to accommodate her entry, seating and order. The carvery sirloin slices were melt-in-the -mouth and delicious washed down with Guinness and a house gin. Also the haddock did not disappoint. The attention of our server was exemplary. All in all, a most pleasant experience. Highly recommended.

This is a superb well run hotel, The staff leave nothing to chance and are all very efficient and helpful. We had a lovely 50th wedding anniversary there recently and have re booked for another three days for my husbands birthday in December. ❤️

It’s always a pleasure to stay at Whitford House. From initial interactions with Siobhán on reception, to the bar staff, breakfast serving staff and housekeeping, all are very friendly and efficient. We were served by Steph and Breda in the bar on both nights we ate there. Both were very friendly. Luckily we had booked a table as it was packed both times. The food was well presented and tasty. Breakfast was very enjoyable and plentiful. It’s nice having the coffee machines, but I prefer to have more than one cup of coffee so having to keep going for refills meant I looked/felt greedy . Room 118 was good but not the best room I’ve stayed in at Whitford House. It was a little noisier there than other rooms we have stayed in previously.

Excellent Hotel in every aspect, Really good room, service and breakfast. Location ideal if arriving in Ireland on the Fishguard/Rosslare Ferry. We only stayed one night but would have been quite happy to have stayed longer. We were touring Ireland for two weeks and this Hotel was the best value one that we stayed in. The Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast, with very goof choice and quality in very pleasant surroundings.

We have never stayed in the hotel so I can only talk about the restaurant. We ate there quite a few times and we have never had a bad experience. Food (being carvery or bat food) is always delicious. Great value for money. Staff amazing, very friendly including chefs and waiting staff. Everything is so well organised. One of our favourite place to eat in Wexford.

Overall very pleased with our stayed. We booked largely on the basis that of its location and the fact that it had a pool and spa. The hotel appears fairly new and is well maintained. Free parking, friendly staff, a very nice bar, and very good breakfast service. The only off putting thing is the pool. Good pool but no where to relax. Where are the chairs? Nowhere to set and relax. The male chaning room, the one I was in, was more like a locker room in a gym. This may be suitable for recreation club, but not for a hotel. The hotel should think seriously about improving the pool environment and fixing up the locker room. A little attention to detail goes a long way.

This is a lovely four star hotel on the outskirts of Wexford. Beds: good big beds and nice firm mattresses. Rooms immaculate. Bathrooms well appointed. Too few electric sockets for charging phones/laptops. Faultless high speed wifi free throughout hotel. Pool/Gym: brilliant choice of weights and machines. Lovely indoor pool with lanes for doing lengths. Hydrotherapy part not very strong/worth spending time in. Sauna, steam, ice bath and jacuzzi all excellent Food: Excellent. Choice of hot meal to order for breakfast plus usual buffet items. Dinner menu incredible with excellent vegan and gf menus too. Live music most nights while dining. Location: you need a car but there’s tonnes of parking. Aldi nearby and petrol stations. Great base to explore Waterford and Wicklow. About two hours drive from Dublin airport with traffic. Staff: delightful and work extremely hard.
