Hotel in zona Northern Walkway trailhead - Botanic Garden, Wellington

As other recent reviews have stated, this hotel is in desperate need of fixing up. The bathroom, in particular was kind of gross. Paint peeling off the walls. Mold. Very dated looking. The location is nice and the bed was comfortable, but, it's really showing it's age. Would be a very nice spot if they'd invest in it.

We really liked the Movenpick: tucked into a lush green hillside, the hotel exudes an old world charm matched with modern-day comforts. The room was quite small but well-appointed and very quiet. The service was excellent: friendly & efficient at all turns. Full breakfast buffet was lovely with a stunning view over the city. Unfortunately, we would not choose to return because of one room issue: the majority of lights in the room, including bedside lights and bathroom lights, are controlled by one master switch, an overhead light that lights up the whole room. Turn this overhead off and you cannot turn on those bedside lights nor the bathroom lights. Hence - no reading in bed without the whole room lit up; if you need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, you either trip around in the dark or wake up your sleeping partner with the light. When your partner accidentally turns the overhead off while you're in the shower? Welcome to Sensory Deprivation Shower time. It is such a shame, because but for this one issue we quite enjoyed our brief stay - but, if it had been a longer stay, I would have moved hotels. Lastly, a note: the hillside down to the main street of restaurants, shops and central downtown is VERY steep. We enjoyed the trek to & from, for the most part, but we both had to stop for breath on the way 'home.' If you do choose the Movenpick, make sure to pack sturdy walking shoes!

The location is superb , right in the heart of Wellington CBD and close to a lot of tourist attractions but the building itself in general needs renovation. The service at reception is excellent (polite, friendly, professional). Highly recommended for one/two nights stay, especially at an affordable price like it was $40 per night compared to other overvalued accommodations. Happy with my journey to Wellington!

State per 2 notti e adulti a weekend lontano. Grande piccolo hotel, le camere sono belle con cucina completamente attrezzata nell'appartamento. Un bel po'di toccare come l'acqua in bottiglia, una bevanda di frutta organica e cioccolato nella tua stanza all'arrivo. Inoltre, puoi aiutarti a bere dolci e caffè nel lobby a qualsiasi momento. Venite con colazione (continentale) che sembrava bello, ma abbiamo mangiato fuori. Il servizio clienti era davvero un dio. Molto vicino a tutto, Will resterà di nuovo. L'unica cosa che mi ha disturbato non era la finestra di apertura, ma sono in piedi vento fresco.

Questo hotel è nel centro della città, c'è un negozio di mercanti dall'altra parte della strada, a piedi per qualche minuto al Museo Papa.L'intero hotel e la nostra stanza sono puliti. La cucina completa e la camera da letto ci hanno dato un'impressione profonda. La camera da letto ha un ventola e un barbecue, che ci fa sentire bene.I dipendenti sono gentili e amichevoli, e si può anche mangiare una colazione molto pratica in hotel. Quando sei a Shrillington, ti consigliamo di andare in questo hotel.

Avevo un piacere di soggiorno, posizione centrale, personale amichevole, pensavamo di aver prenotato una stanza a sedia a rotelle, e penso che fosse, ma era molto stretto quanto a maneggiare una persona in una sedia. Fortunatamente mia moglie ha ancora la capacità di uscire dalla sedia e camminare per un paio di passi verso il bagno, eccetera, ma pensavamo che se qualcuno avesse meno mobilità di lei, sarebbe stato un modo di combattere più; ancora godeva del nostro soggiorno, grande posto.

È stato un buon soggiorno. La posizione era grande e la vista era eccellente. Tornerei di nuovo.

The first part of stay was not good. We arrived late (9:30ish) and rang the after hours phone and stood for quite a few mins before getting anyone to answer. Then told to come in and re ring after hours manager.....thought they would answer straight away but more mins spent waiting with 3 tired kids in car. Finally had keys but only one card which needs to be in room to have light on.... Room good size and should have everything need for kitchen including dishwasher which is good. Might have had a leak in bathroom at some stage. Pillows bit thick. No parking available when we arrived and is an additional charge.
