Mishika Retreat and Lodge

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in the Sanctuary Suite at Mishika Retreat and Lodge for 3 nights in July 2026. Given this accomodation had only opened for approximately 6 weeks, there were limited reviews, so we booked this without much expectations. However, we were incredibly surprised and thus I wanted to be one of the first to leave a full proper review myself. Immediately upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the host, Abhishek, who gave us a tour around the house as well as many tailored suggestions on how to best spend our time in Wanaka, including hikes, places to eat and things to do. We then spent the following days having ongoing wonderful conversations with him and his team as they were always around to be a friendly face, work and have lovely chats. Honestly speaking, this is one of the loveliest accomodations I’ve ever stayed in, to the point that I would happily live here for the rest of my life. Unlike other accomodations which provide the barebones for travel (ie bed, bathroom, amenities and room), it is clear that Abishek and his team have poured their heart and soul into making Mishika Lodge a true “home away from home” experience. As a guest you can choose to rent a room or the entire lodge, but regardless, you have full access to the lounge, dining room, kitchen, entertainment room, garden, hot spa (readily heated to 39C!) and pool, all of which are shared spaces for guests at all times so that you aren’t confined to just relaxing in your room. For instance, you can curl up in front of the fireplace with your book, cast your videos onto the TV, or eat your meal at the kitchen bar like home. Our room itself was extremely comfortable - the bed, pillows, heating, fan, bath were all perfect. In terms of convenience, there is free parking on the property, free use of the washing machine and dryer, and it is only a 3-4 minute walk into city centre. Abhishek would also respond to any questions we had over WhatsApp within minutes which was fantastic. Lastly, one of their workers, Lisa, would typically be around in the mornings in the kitchen to bake fresh goodies for the guests, so it was a delightful surprise to have pancakes in bed (albeit an exception) on one of our mornings! All in all, I felt extremely grateful for the experience we had. It’s an unusual feeling to be so excited / look forward to returning to your accomodation to “enjoy” it after a day of exploring but I certainly felt that way about Mishika! We will return to stay over and over again without a doubt and be recommending it to all friends and family. Thanks again, Fiona & Jordan"

La posizione non era troppo lontana dal centro della città, e le viste erano sorprendenti da entrambi gli alloggi interni e esterni. La caratteristica di fave era entrambi i luoghi di fuoco che ci tenevano caldi durante il soggiorno. Le camere erano davvero comode e l'appartamento era così pulito. Ha una cucina completa con così tante attrezzature da cucina per noi anche da usare. La sala di lavanderia era molto conveniente, e il check-in era semplice, i codici erano forniti prima della mano e il check-out era anche un brise!"

È un intero pacchetto di appartamenti in una stanza e una stanza, una sala soggiorno spaziosa, una camera da letto con il piccolo giardino, anche un bagno, molto americano e tranquillo, un parcheggio conveniente, riscaldatore, cucina e altre strutture complete, grande lode! E vale la pena ricordare che l'unico centro che ha soggiornato in tutti gli hotel di due notti dell'isola di South Island fornisce servizi puliti!"

"Io sicuramente ❤️ la posizione!! . È a pochi passi dal lago Wanaka e ci sono negozi e cibo vicino. La stanza è accogliente e sicuramente i riscaldatori di cottura sono un bonus durante il periodo invernale. C'è un parcheggio e chi guida qui non deve preoccuparsi di questo. Il ricevitore è amichevole e ci dà il benvenuto. Penserà certamente di restare qui di nuovo se ci troviamo di nuovo a Wanaka."

"Walnut on Russell è una casa a Wanaka! L'alloggio è più pulito e moderno in persona che nelle foto. Si prende 5-8mins camminare al centro della città. Il pavimento, le lenzuola e le cuciture sono super pulite e tempestose. La lavatrice e il asciugacapelli sono anche in buone condizioni. Hayley, il manager, è molto caldo e gentile, e lei ha anche offerto di darmi un giro alla fermata del bus del lago."
