The Rock Camp Petra

I stayed here with my friend for 2 nights when we visited Petra. I have to say even is a bit far from Petra we had a really nice time. We had a car so it was easier but you can catch a taxi if needed. I have to say.. the staff was super nice and friendly especially the guy at reception he really looked after us! The food at dinner was really local and good... Jordan was absolutely a blast but all the places we stayed topped everything up! Thanks so much again!

This camp is situated in a beautiful part of Wadi Musa, far away from the villages. We stayed in a tent, and it was fully equipped with everything you needed. Good airconditioning too! We had a delicious dinner prepared by the very friendly staff. They are expanding now with even more tents. Very good place to stay when you want to visit Petra and surroundings!

We have chosen this place because it was featured as a unique place to watch the stars at night in a secluded place away from the city in the unique site of Petra. This 1-night stay was a nightmare in a every aspects. I have booked a bubble tent and requested a quiet area. I was giving the one right at the entrance in front of restaurant and reception. I could hear ppl walking to restaurant and the echo in the restaurant (also a bubble). The whole place is freezing cold. Impossible to heat. The hot air stays just under the reversible AC device and does not spread throughout the room. Impossible to get sleep in this setting. Personnel items are cold, getting dressed into freezing cloth in the morning. Electricity cut every 5 minutes with the generator making a sort of "explosion" noise, then the AC/heat device beeping when electricity on again, every 5 minutes! No way to let reception know unless, get out of bed, and get out of tent to find reception. They could not do much as full capacity. The whole point of booking that bubble is to see the stars and surroundings. Impossible. The roof is covered with tent, no windows. Only windows are on the lateral sides (view on on the restaurant and other tents) and are full of frost. Plus light from outside enters through the door the whole night (opac door). Restaurant room was freezing, impossible to eat breakfast in it. Had to eat at reception where some heat seemed to work a little. Paid the equivalent of USD 250.- for a freezing, noisy, sleepless night. Such a scam and disappointment. Please beware before booking and find yourself a different accommodation (4-5 star hotels in Little Petra for the same price in proper heated building).

Magical place with multiple room options, had several tents with a private bathroom, very comfortable with all we needed. The chef cooked a great dinner for us, delicious and authentic. Wonderful people complement a great place.

Wir waren drei Nächte in diesem wunderschönen Camp. Es ist eine traumhaft schöne Anlage und sehr schöne Zimmer. Jeder Mitarbeiter war äußerst bemüht, sehr umsorgt und jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt. Hier ist man gut aufgehoben und alle waren super freundlich. Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend und auch sehr lokal. Wir würden wirklich jederzeit wieder kommen. Ein Besuch lohnt sich alle mal

Sehr gute Option, Petra zu besuchen. Sauberes und geräumiges Zimmer. Angenehmes und hilfsbereites Personal. Dieses Camp ist noch nicht ganz fertig aber alles in allem tip Top. Frühstück wird für jeden frisch angerichtet. Weit weg vom Trubel. Hier hat man seine Ruhe in der Wüste.
