Stayed for one night en route home from a trip up North. We were impressed with the hotel, everything was up to a good standard, Our room #9 was in a converted stable and very comfortable, we had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was to a good standard and all the staff we met were friendly and efficient. We took advantage of the free entry to Waddesdon Manor.

Booked a dinner and it was delicious! I have not eaten in here for a while and it really was lovely, staff welcoming and we didnt' feel rushed. Venison and the beef pie were chosen , so tasty, hot plates and cooked to perfection! I reccomend. and great value for money when you compare with the dreadful souless Akeman Inn at Kingswood.

From minor inconveniences to unexpected challenges, Adam efficiently addressed each problem, ensuring a seamless stay. Refreshing to experience instant replies and communication. Often used to call at the restaurant in years gone by - the gammon, egg and chips was a hangover cure - but stayed with friends for the first time last night. A great experience - lovely rooms above the coach house, very nice salmon ceviche and monkfish tail. A very reasonable house Merlot and Sandy did a velvet smooth job of encouraging us to sample the port;) Above all really nice staff - friendly, attentive, and thoughtful, even setting aside the almost private table one for breakfast after we admired it the night before. Nice walk to Waddesdon Manor the next morning. Highly recommend.

Lovely building, very clean and well presented. Room was warm and comfortable with good amenities. Restaurant is quite expensive, food quality was good, but menu is limited.

Spent a night here with a friend getting away from our families to catch up properly.
We paid a very reasonable amount for bed and breakfast in a twin room and breakfast was really delicious with plenty of choice.
The room had a fabulous vaulted ceiling and the beds were really comfortable.
All in all a great place to stay and we would definutely return. Thank you 😊

The room was lovely, spotlessly clean. It's an easy walk to Waddeson Manor too with complimentary access for guests. We had dinner in the restaurant, the wait staff were fantastic but the food was quite average which was a big disappointment.

This is such a lovely place to stay. We can't rate it high enough. The staff, without exception, are so friendly and welcoming, so helpful, it's so refreshing to have this excellent service. The place itself is lovely. We felt completely relaxed and refreshed by the time we left. Can't rate it highly enough. The only thing we had a problem with was the vegetarian/vegan options on the menu, as they only had one vegetarian and one vegan option. Apart from that it was fantastic and we will definitely be staying there again.

We met up with friends for a meal in the restaurant and overall were pleased. Three of us went with the roasted cauliflower and baked cheddar soup which was enjoyed, the other being the duck liver parfait which was also enjoyed. For the mains, we all went with the roasted bronze turkey, served with chestnut stuffing, glazed parsnips and carrots, excellent roast potatoes and thyme jus. We all enjoyed it though the turkey was a little on the dry side. We had to limited our drinks given the hour or so drive home but the ladies enjoyed a glass of champagne, my mate an alcohol free G&T and me a beer. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient which added to the meal.
