The appearance of the hotel from the outset is a bit battered. The room and service therein are very good and the food served in dinner is gorgeous. The scenery outside when looking from the window of the room is spectacular. It is a good stay at such hotel

A primo impatto rimani un pò basito perchè da fuori sembra una catapecchia abbandonata poi entri dentro e ti ritrovi in un allegro American Bar frequentato da locali e camionisti. Le stanze sono abbastanza grandi per lo standard Islandese, pulite, c'è caffè e un frigo a disposizione per gli ospiti. Cena tipica a base di agnello e colazione molto buone.

Personale gentile e disponibile. Struttura da usare solo una notte, se di passaggio. Buona cena, colazione mediocre, camere deludenti.

Every thing was great although the Hvammstangi address was confusing for non-Icelandic folk. The room itself could have had some more light so we could see a bit better

The hotel has a restaurant and an common area with hot water boiler and a refrigerator upstairs where the guestrooms located. This is very convenient, especially for a group of travelers like us.

This was a great stay for the one night we needed before heading back to Reykjavik! Very convenient as it is right off the 1 HWY, loved that there was a communal fridge upstairs for the guests and the restaurant downstairs was excellent! The bathroom smelled moldy when the water ran...other than that the room was great!

A basic, small room. Friendly staff. The restaurant was really busy but as residents at the hotel we were looked after well.

There’s no getting away from the fact this is an isolated spot, but we knew that when we booked. The in-house restaurant has a great choice of dishes and our food was lovely. Nice communal lounge for guests to use. Great choice for those travelling the ring road
