Parque Mourabel, Oasis Village & Pe do Lago

A great hotel complex. Reception staff were SO helpful, above and beyond! Friendly and can communicate very well in English. A lovely walk to the marina from the hotel, takes a good 25-30mins though. This is fine but with young children it can take double the time 🤣, so, we hired bikes. The reception staff sorted this for us. It was a great bike rental company. Choice of three swimming pools but all are not heated. I’m a swimmer, after about 20 lengths I just got colder and colder. But fine for a cool down dip. My six and four year old did get in for a few minutes. They open late, 10am. I like to swim from 7.30/8am. So, if you’re after an early morning swim head for the sea. We had a massive apartment, it was fantastic. All necessities for self catering. Our apartment was clean, however, day two the cleaners were at our door around 3pm on our return from a day out. So, we told them not to bother to clean our room so that we could go into it. They did leave us more loo roll and towels. So, our apartment wasn’t cleaned throughout our five night stay, but where our apartment was so spacious it felt clean and tidy anyhow. Supermarket serves fresh rolls every morning and has a fair selection. Tasty fruit. There needs to be more child friendly facilities, like a play park, but the Portuguese don’t seem to have them like we do in England. Overall, it’s a basic hotel, but clean, pleasant and friendly staff.

An ideal getaway for the family: warm and inviting staff that attended to our needs, who were also helpful in finding transport to the nearby Marina. The food is delicious and freshly prepared with locally sourced seafood. The swimming pool is perfect for a cooldown after exploring the local area. The grounds are well maintained and help create a picturesque backdrop to facilitate your holiday abroad. Portugal has a great nightlife scene particularly along the coast if that's your thing and there is good transport to there from the hotel, even into the latest hours of the night. Despite the lively coastal night scene, the accommodation is situated distant enough to maintain some peace and quiet as you rest. Similar to other European countries, the room I stayed in had external blinds to ensure full darkness even during the day if you want to sleep in. There's also a well stocked shop nearby for some groceries if you need anything or want to use the kitchen facilities. This has been one of the best holidays, we've had in a while and I would highly recommend a visit!

We stayed in a 2 bed 5th floor apartment at Parque Mourabel. It was really well, equipped and clean. The staff at the hotel were super helpful and friendly at all times. The food at the bar/restaurant is great & reasonably priced. Toasties at lunch for 5 Euros and fab burgers! The evening buffet is delicious and a bargain at 18euros. We loved the pool as it was deep enough to dive into so perfect for older kids. This hotel isn’t fancy or flash but perfect for a family holiday near a snazzy resort. We walked into Vilamoura in the evenings, about 20 mins and used Ubers in the day (cheap as chips) We also hired comfy bikes to explore. The hotel sorted all this out for us and dropped the bikes off at the hotel for us. The hotel is surrounded by safe cycle tracks so perfect way to get around in the sunshine. A super place for a family with a 15, 17 and 18 year old as they could walk into town in the evening safely. Staff couldn’t do enough to help.

We stayed in the Ped O Mar complex ..apartment was large clean and bright ..well equipped kitchen and aircon. Ground floor apartment opposite a small independently owned bar which sold ham and cheese toaties for 3 euros and cocktails for 5 euros!! Pool area was lovely and clean ..slight lack of parasols..although there were some shaded areas. Reception area and staff were helpful and friendly .supermarket on complex with good opening hours. There is a free bus to beach, but the timings didn't suit us so we just uber max price we paid was 6 euros . All in all would recommend as a great place to stay !

We had a wonderful holiday at Parque Mourabel. The room is very spacious, clean and has good amenities that we needed for our family. Facilities are great. Staff are welcome and friendly. Food from the restaurant is Yummy! Very convenient to commute around. We highly recommend to stay there. We will be back again!!

I booked a double room at this hotel at short notice as it was available at a very reasonable price. The hotel itself was very clean and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming and spoke really good English. We had a refurbished apartment that consisted of a large living/dining room, well equipped kitchen, good bathroom and a double bedroom. There was a large balcony overlooking the pool. We had breakfast which was the usual buffet style and was good quality with and good choice. The only downside was the walk to the marina which was about 2.5km away and took about 25 minutes which was okay but was hard work during the afternoon sun. We used the shuttle bus and would advise anyone to download and use the bolt taxi app as very reasonable prices.

The resort is made up of 3 parts, we stayed in Oásis Village, with pool and bar available in Parque Mourabel. We didn’t use the pool available in the third part of the resort, but the small convenience store is located there which we used regularly as we were self catering. Our room was a ground floor 2 bed apartment, as we were a family of 5, and was situated right at the back of the complex. Our view was not pleasant, just some rubble and a busy road just on the other side of the fence and hedge. As a result we never used our patio for anything other than drying clothes. The room itself was tired and basic but comfortable enough. You get what you pay for. Room was not cleaned with new towels and linen every day, but probably 4 times over the week we were there. Air conditioning was fully functional. Beds were comfortable. There was an iron and clothes horse included. Safe rental was extra but not expensive. The pool in Parque Mourabel was fine. There was plenty of space and sun beds available at all times. There are no parasols at the pool, instead we relied on shade from trees and a couple of fixed awnings at the hottest parts of the day. If it was busy then fighting for shade would be a problem. The bar is well stocked with drinks, ice creams, coffee etc. We had some take away food to eat by the pool and it was fine. The prices are reasonable, especially when you compare to just how expensive everything is in Vilamoura marina. The resort is not convenient for the town or the beach, both being a good 30 minute walk away which is not practical in summer heat. There is a complimentary coach that takes guests to the beach and then the marina, which leaves at 9am, 11am and 4pm each day, returning to the resort in a round trip so you could use it to get back again too, but really this is no use if you’re planning an evening out at the marina or in the town, which is where all the life, restaurants, bars etc are. Uber was an absolute life saver. Quick, readily available transport back to the resort, for less than 10 euro including tip. The marina is a tourist trap, everything is very expensive and the quality of the food hit and miss (leaving separate reviews for restaurants we visited). There were 2 restaurants close to the resort (5-10 min walk) which we found to be really good and much better value for money compared to anything in the marina. Chez Carlos and Graces, recommend both and will leave separate reviews. In summary this is good, basic, no frills accommodation, with the draw backs being the distance from the town and beach, as well as the tired feel of the complex.

Lovely location hotel was excellent and staff very friendly. There was a couple of bars nearby, sweet Caroline and Graces which are worth a visit. Food in the hotel was good and the marina was spectacular. Would recommend

The rooms are clean tidy and big, the people are extremely kind and generous it has a lovely atmosphere and amazing food the whole place is great. They have a bus to get into the town for free and offer an all you can eat breakfast every morning! Would definitely come again.
