I spent a week in this resort at the end of February 2025. Since it's my first time in Cuba. Without comparison, I think it's a good resort overall. Actually, the highlight of this trip is our Havana tour guide named Jorge. He is a slightly older gentleman with a tremendous amount of knowledge about the country, its history and everything in between. I just learned so much from him! Totally impressive!!! Also, the lady who sells tours in the lobby was very pleasant to deal with, way better than the receptionist just steps away from her. I will explain later. Pros: The beach is quiet and as beautiful as Punta Cana, but without vendors selling things I don't need. I was able to find a lounge chair at 9am, which is unthinkable in Punta Cana or Mexico. The room is ok, I thought it was a new resort built in 2023, but it doesn't seem so. However, in general in good condition. The entertainment is underwhelming, not much going on. I called the front desk to have someone to check on the AC, I was pleasantly surprised that the technician came almost 5 minutes later. This is extremely good. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. There were eggs, bread and butter every day, veggie and meat choices were limited but I was able to find things to eat. Cons: The young lady at the reception does not look that welcoming or had a bit of an attitude after the first encounter. Surprised why she works in the hospitality industry and why the hotel has this kind of person as the face of the property. What a shame! Last, I noticed that everyone is expected some kind of tip, considering the economic situation in Cuba, it's understandable.
