I recently stayed for three nights at the Carmana Hotel & Suites on my way to an Alaskan cruise. I was expecting a more high-end experience given the price and online website photos. While the rooms were spacious and clean, complete with kitchenette, the quality of amenities was lacking…the bed linens felt scratchy and over-starched, the soaps, cremes, shampoos and conditioners were of motel quality. All that aside, it was the transactional nature of the front desk staff and their lack of warmth and connection that proved a huge disappointment. On the last night of my stay, the entire hotel was awakened by a hotel-wide alarm with no announcement as to the nature of the emergency and how to proceed. I myself walked down 25 floors as did others from various levels with some holding children, some physically impaired, and all a bit anxious. Evacuation led all guests to gather outside in front of the hotel. There were fire trucks and firemen already on the scene. We found out only through conversations with a firemen twenty minutes later that a fire alarm in a section of the hotel under renovation had tripped. What I found so astonishing and unprofessional is that the front desk staff and the manager on duty made zero effort to communicate with us. In fact, watching them try to get the elevators working again so that we could all get back to our rooms by reading a manual and inserting various keys was near comical. The next day at checkout, I told the person at the front desk that they need to communicate with guests better when faced with an emergency of this scale. There was only the weakest of apologies, almost as if the entire staff had hoped the entire incident would be forgotten. Truth be told, the hotel could have just as easily been run as one big Airbnb with no front desk at all. The price point is simply too high given the amateurish quality of those in charge.

La nostra famiglia ha un fantastico soggiorno all'Azur Hotel a Vancouver, la stanza era spaziosa, tranquilla e pulita con le apparenze di nuovi mobili, creando un ambiente molto confortevole. Il servizio è stato eccellente, con il personale che soddisfa rapidamente le richieste di biancheria, piastrelle e altre strutture senza alcuna pressione. La cosa più evidente è stata la cortesia e la disponibilità del personale, sempre dispiaciuto di aiutare, rendendo la nostra esperienza davvero memorabile.

I have experienced shock and fear all at once: In the WALDORF!!! I have never walked through extreme poverty and drug users during 20min before, I did to go there. Once at the hotel, the room wasn't cleaned, no curtains, direct view on the street lights, horrible smell. The carpet went wet out of nowhere, I called the reception about it. No one came. It stayed soaked till the end, could not walk on half of the room. Unfortunately I forgot to get my security deposit back.(cash) when I left - I got home, the manager called me saying she will keep my $200 cause I smoked in the room! False accusation! Cheap night in the Vancouver's worst area became A extremely expensive nightmare - Don't go there!!!

Our company recently hosted an in-house conference at the Opus Hotel, and I must say that the communication and organization from the hotel have been excellent from the start. Natasha was a pleasure to work with and effortlessly catered to our needs regarding conference room space and hotel room arrangements. Employees from our offices across the country praised the stylishness and comfort of their hotel rooms, as well as the dining experience during breakfast and lunch each day. Your staff truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. I want to give a special shout-out to Yash and Laura for their meticulous attentiveness to our staff and their needs throughout our five-day stay. You both truly deserve a medal!

Ho scelto di rimanere qui a causa della navetta aeroportuale e dell’accessibilità al trasporto pubblico. Given the price I had to pay, I’d have given a better a rating IF: (1) Shuttle aeroportuale è più puntuale (2) the TV in the room works better (clearer, guests ‘can’ use it simply by following menu, has choices of movie/ netflix connection) (3) il bagno in bagno ha una più efficiente drenaggio dell'acqua (4) Il condizionatore d'aria ha un controllo digitale e è più tranquillo (5) L'ascensore funziona più intelligente. Cosa mi piace: (1) La macchina del caffè complimentare nell'area comune (2) Il personale è bello
