We had a booking here and a week before our trip my partner got into a biking accident and required surgery. I would like to put a disclaimer that I know that our booking was nonrefundable - I was hoping given the nature of what my partner and I were going through with the accident, and the fact that they were able to resell our rooms full price, that some empathy and understanding could be shown. I even had people that could have gone in our place but they refused to even let us do that, although we were already charged full price. When I reached out with our situation to Robert from reservations, he was not understanding of the situation we were in, and in fact gave me pressured deadlines (same date I reached out to him by 6 pm) to cancel our trip when I had indicated I was about to get on a flight back home to my partner, as I was currently on the other side of the world. He was unclear in emails and text messages about giving us a refund, which I have full proof of, and ultimately pressured us to cancel to get any chance of a refund. Once I cancelled he refused to understand the mixed messages he gave on email, and refused to give us back our money while he rebooked our rooms and made close to 1000 bucks on it. I also requested to speak to the owner in which he ignored. So now, he not only was able to re sell our rooms full price and make 1000$ off of new customers, but kept our full payment of 1000$. I would avoid staying here due to the headache you will have to deal with communicating with Robert, it was a nightmare especially with what we were and still are going through with my partner’s accident.
