GunRunner Boutique Hotel

As a get away, we were told the Gunrunner was special and indeed it was! This was one of the most unique boutique hotels. We stayed in the Billy Reid suite and it was nicely decorated and had a comfy bed with nice linens It doesn't have an elevator and carrying luggage up the wide steps may be a challenge for some people. There is a good coffee shop on the first floor and it is walkable to the downtown. We hope to be back!

This was the prettiest hotel I've ever stayed in and probably the most unique - perfect for a couples getaway. It was also surprisingly affordable. We stayed in the Billy Reid suite and it was gorgeously decorated, which a comfy bed and chairs, luxurious linens, a stunning bathroom and shower, and a great balcony. The bar/common room was beautiful, as well, and the bar staff (who also act as hosts) were extremely nice. I worried that it would be loud because there is music playing in the bar until 10, but we didn't mind at all and after 10 it was quieter than most places I've stayed. I honestly didn't even want to leave the room! There were plenty of amenities in the room (including a keurig and good coffee), but I wish we could have ordered up coffee and breakfast from the coffee shop below - however, it was Sunday and the coffee shop was closed. That's a great excuse to go back though, and we definitely will.

Just save your money and go somewhere way cheaper I bet you you’ll get treated better For as much as they charge they should have some actual trained staff no one had any manners Very very sad to see a business not take pride

Excellent experience for our anniversary. Be sure to ask Amanda for a green tea shot before you hit the town within walking distance. Room is beautiful. Parking was easy. Great coffee bar downstairs. Two 👍👍 GM even sends you a text before you check in if you need anything. Great personal touch.

Very cool hotel with a great vibe. Location is great, just a short walk to the main drag with a number of restaurants, bars, and shops. Loved having the bar right outside the room, and the rooftop bar was a nice bonus. We stayed in the Billy Reid Suite. It was clean, open with a high ceiling, and had a good size balcony. The bathroom was very up to date, and the shower was large. It’s a little odd that the bartender is the only staff, but check-in was the only time we needed anyone. And the off hours door through the coffee shop is a little odd as well, but it worked out. Parking was fine, but you can find yourself without a spot at times when the bar is open (until 9:00). We really liked this place. Totally recommended if you like something a little different.

Interesting place which we liked for the most part. Liked the spacious room with sitting area and balcony. Could be improved with some bedside lighting and more surface area for luggage. The bathroom floor was extremely slippery when wet and a rug larger than 18 inches would be a big help. Housekeeping came upon request and refreshed supplies but didn’t make the bed. Bathroom came supplied with one tiny black bar of soap - received more by asking the bar tender who is the only staff on site. Live music was playing on the rooftop deck the last night we were there which was nice but very crowded so we did not stay. I’d recommend it if you don’t like staying in a typical hotel. That’s why we chose it.

Great hotel with large rooms. There really isn’t an office, you check in at the bar area that is the center of the hotel. They don’t offer early check in. There is not a restaurant, but plenty of options within a few blocks that you can walk too. The bar was a great place to hang out with friends and it does close about 9PM, so it is quiet for guests. We would stay here gain without hesitation.

We stayed here with a group and loved it. Large rooms with lots of unique décor. The rooms are oversized and there is bar in the middle of the hotel with good services and a comfortable area to visit. The bar closed at 8:30, because they want to keep things quiet for the guests. If we ever make it back to Florence, this is where we will stay.

The Gunrunner Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem in the south. This is my fourth visit and I have to say it’s an outstanding hotel. Very comfortable and clean rooms each with its own unique atmosphere. The lobby bar is a great place to relax and enjoy about every spirit you’d want. Highly recommend when you’re in Northern Alabama
