Hotel a Townsville, Australia

Abbiamo prenotato questo alloggio nel settembre 2022 per 2 notti per il nostro soggiorno in maggio. Arrivato e immediatamente trovato il nostro appartamento non con vista panoramica sull'isola magnetica né la Townsville Marina che si gira occhi una parte dura sinistra della Marina. La nostra vista era un appartamento a destra, in fondo al piano terra, che guardava in un altro complesso di appartamento. Ci avvicinò al desk front e fu detto che avevano esteso il loro soggiorno e ci siamo aggiornati a un appartamento a 3 camere, solo due di noi. Noi diamo così tanto credito per la pulizia della custodia di casa grazie ma il telaio, la spazzatura e il salotto fulgi al di fuori del loro controllo. Siti che mostrano ciò che si dovrebbe aspettare e ciò che si ottiene dovrebbe essere tenuto responsabile. Non tornerà.

Rooms are dark dated and extremely run down Paint work looks dreadful peel off furniture ie dressing table Chairs in rooms are dirty with black over used areas The room was cleaned but the furnishings Lee the feel of cleanliness down Reception friendly Beds were comfortable As a family we were lucky it was just a one night stop over room’s depressing feel to rooms ..we didn’t pay much therefore get what we paid for I suppose Wouldn’t recommend needs a re-vamp

Because of our flight’s late arrival, we chose this hotel for its 24-hour reception and good location on the Palmer St restaurant *****, a short walk from the town centre. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Underground parking is free but not secured. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious, with efficient air con, comfortable beds, two good chairs, hospitality tray and frig, no minibar and no ice cube tray. The two bottles of water delivered each day were very welcome. The bathroom, with walk-in shower, worked well but was a tad shabby. The bedroom lighting was excessively 1980s dim. We needed a torch to see the aircon control panel. We would return and recommend, but bring a torch.

Abbiamo trascorso due notti al Palmer Collective mentre andavamo a Townsville per il gioco Cowboys v West Tigers. La stanza era eccellente e aveva tutto ciò che era necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. La doccia era grande e l'aria con funzionava come doveva. La Palmer dispone anche di un lavaggio con lavastoviglie e asciugamani, entrambe le macchine prendono $1 e $2 monete. Il parcheggio in loco è limitato per un motel così grande, ma è parcheggio lungo la strada, e noi lo consigliamo pienamente.

C'è un parcheggio gratuito nel centro della città, ma devo guidare un po' lontano. Ho prima parcheggiato l'auto nella strada secondaria e poi sono andato in albergo. C'era una strada a senso unico. Per fortuna di notte non ci sono molte macchine. L'ingresso dell'hotel non è evidente. Pub accanto ad esso Cosa?

Senza essere critici, dobbiamo dire che è stata la scelta sbagliata per le nostre vacanze.L'hotel si trova all'interno della zona centrale. La posizione è più adatta ai viaggiatori di tipo commerciale, lontano da più aree turistiche come la spiaggia, che è più vicina alla spiaggia. In quanto tale, non ha molta scelta per mangiare, bere e intrattenere. L'hotel è situato in un edificio di quattro storie. Solo i livelli 1 e 2 sono assegnati all'hotel. La maggior parte delle camere sono esposte a Sturt Street o Stanley Street. Le finestre non sembravano doppie, perché in camera si udiva un rumore di traffico, e poiché il livello di traffico è molto basso durante la notte, questo livello di rumore non era un problema importante. La prima stanza 205 era stata assegnata, che aveva problemi con i corridoi di cortina, come tali le cortine non si chiuse correttamente, il pollo di illuminazione laterale era proprio vicino alla stanza e la luce stessa era vicino alla stanza. Insieme a queste questioni il sonno notturno è stato danneggiato. A nostra richiesta, siamo stati trasferiti in un'altra stanza 203. Questa stanza è stata molto meglio. Alcune sonore di traffico sono state sentite soprattutto quando i veicoli si accelerano ad alta velocità dopo essere stati fermati alle luci di traffico (sono in collegamento) A livello di un hotel, c'è un piccolo spazio comune con un grande frigorifero, microonde, Lavatrice e asciugatrice. Lavatrice in polvere, cuttery e cuttery, tè, caffè sono disponibili anche in questa zona comune. Il personale di ricezione e il personale di pulizia sono stati molto amichevoli e utili attraverso il nostro soggiorno.

I haven't had much experience at all in backpackers but I was impressed with the Civic Guesthouse. The staff have mostly been very friendly, accomodating and helpful, and the general atmosphere really positive and safe which is awesome. They have a good cleaning routine so the place is in good condition and maintained really well. It's in a great location and has all the amenities/facilities you need. Noise management is handled really well with a nighttime quiet rule. One negative comment I will make is that there is not really a system at all for recyclable items. There is just one bin for recyclables such as drinks cans but aside from that all waste goes into the general bins/landfill and this is pretty soul-crushing since there are so many people coming and going and therefore so much waste disposed of in this way. It would be great to have an improved system for this to sort waste and educate people in the process to be aware of where they are getting rid of their waste. Otherwise, thank you Civic for a great backpacking experience!

We completed a 2 night stay 8th-10th February 2023 and it was the absolute worst! We were moved 4x on the same floor within 2hrs or less of checking in. The attitude from the receptionist was unacceptable. Strongly believe after so many moves, an upgrade offer would have been nice. However, the receptionist made us feel as if we were an inconvenience even though it was the hotel’s fault for having faulty air-conditioning. None of the four rooms were getting cold. We were then offered 2 pedestal fans as if we were staying in a back packers accommodation. The receptionist who “helped” us was very rude. We had organised a late check out for 12pm. On the day of checking out, house keeping and the same receptionist with the attitude, kept coming to disturb us in the room alerting us that it was past check out. This kept happening right until 11:40am. Wifi does not work so my husband had to hot spot from his phone to the tv to access Netflix and Fox channels. Only good thing was room service. Our balcony was inaccessible due to rubble and water constantly coming from the construction work on the higher floors. Did notice a chuck of concrete from the balcony edge missing which did not look safe at all. Overall experience has definitely left a bad impression. Upon check out, manager email was requested and formal complaint is being sent. Do appreciate their small token of an apology by discounting room service bill by 20% for the such rudeness and incompetence of housekeeping and that particular receptionist. Customer service is an absolute must for us and this hotel failed miserably. Definitely take your money elsewhere.
