Mariners North Holiday Apartments

Beds are very comfortable. This accommodation is an older style resort, not modern, thou they have replaced bits of furniture with modern versions. But it was so clean and spacious. It was very quiet. They have an out door pool, grab some pool towels at reception, BBQ area, tennis court and lovely garden. It’s very sucure with a fob to get you to the car park or rooms and the gate is locked after 5pm and you need a key to get in after that. It’s right on the strand, hire a scooter for fun. There are tons of restaurants along the strand. We had a sea view,2 bedroom apartment.

Celebrated my 40th birthday with 3 lovely nights at Mariners north. It was the perfect break from life on a boat. It allowed us to keep an eye on our boat in the marina while still enjoying the comforts of an apartment. The managers were friendly and helpful and grounds absolutely immaculate. It is far enough out of town thats its quiet, but close enough you can walk to countless restaurants, cafes and groceries. We had coles delivery right to our apartment bench and made the most of the full sized kitchen. Would 100% book to stay again.

We had planned a wonderful family vacation to Australia that took 4 years in the making and were heartbroken when our flights were repeatedly canceled and delayed. Eventually, we realized we had to completely cancel our vacation because we simply couldn't get to Australia. We notified Mariners North Holiday Apartments in advance that we were experiencing flight issues and asked for a refund or credit that we could use when we were able to reschedule our trip. It took them 24 hours to respond and they told us to contact Travelocity who we booked our trip through. Travelocity informed us they contacted Mariners North multiple times and they were refusing to offer us any kind of refund or credit. We contacted Mariners North again and they completely ignored us for 5 days, so I emailed them again explaining how we had no control over the flights canceled and to please be understanding. I received a rude email telling me to stop contacting them and that they would no longer respond to us. My family travels a lot and we have never been treated so unprofessionally. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT book this place. They simply do not care about people. They just want their money.

Great views of ocean from room, staff friendly, nice pool. Great location, easy flat walk to restaurants. Room old and tired and needed maintenance. Be careful as some rooms like ours do not have lift access, heavy luggage needs to be lugged up stairs.

We’ve stayed here a few times now, the location is perfect on the strand and the apartments are very spacious. Beautiful oceans views, even from the ground floor apartments. Our particular apartment could do with some TLC however was clean and tidy. These apartments are great for families and large groups. The room had Foxtel which was an added bonus. There is a pool and tennis court and racquet hire and balls are free to use. Our gate fob didn’t work when we returned from a walk late one night however we were able to gain entry to the complex.

We travel to Townsville regularly to visit family and always choose to stay at Mariners North. It's a great location, has very comfortable apartments, and the management and staff are very friendly and helpful. A particular shout out to Ella for being super flexible and accommodating our family needs over Christmas.

Stayed here with my husband and 2 young children (1 and 3) for 4 nights as we had a family wedding. Upon arrival on the first night (after hours check in) the air conditioners in the bedrooms did not work. Given the time of year, the humidity and heat was unbearable that first night (32 degrees in the rooms) and we barely had any sleep. We informed reception the following morning who after several failed attempts at fixing, were able to get a technician to fix but not until 5pm the next day. We requested a room change but were told there were none available. However it unfortunately had a very negative knock on effect on our trip with two very overtired children (unable to even nap properly the following day) and we had to leave the wedding after less than 2 hours. When we emailed reception to request compensation for that first night, we were told they would check with the owner. But then the response we received was unbelievable. We were told the owner declined a refund because we “had booked a special stay 4 pay 3” nights accommodation and that because the aircon was working fine prior to check in, they could not have foretold it would break down. Despite several attempts at explaining how ludicrous this excuse was and why we should not be made to suffer the consequence as we clearly did not get what we paid for (in fact we would have rather paid to stay anywhere else on that first night given the impact on the trip), I received an email stating they would not be replying to any further emails. I’ve never come across such poor and unprofessional customer service. Would never stay there again. Good location but rooms (ours in particular) in need of an update and not worth the money or the risk of no air con.

Amazing..amazing, we loved staying at Marniers North Townsville, definitely stay there again..perfect location, apartment very comfortable, very clean, great views, friendly staff...thxs for the memories.

From the first contact with this facility l have had nothing but the best of experience. I was given clear and concise directions for late checkin and all enquiries regarding tours, Magnetic Island Ferry and car hire, were answered immimmediately with a smile. The two bedroom apartment, on the 3rd floor in the tower building, with views over the pool & spa as well as the main beach & The Strand in the background were perfect. It was lovely and clean with basic supplies of tea coffee, sugar & milk. Everything you will need in the way of crockery & cutlery, is provided. Diswasher, washing machine & dryer were all added bonuses. The only minor issue l had was the single bed was very hard.
