A very enjoyable two night stay. Briarfields is only a short walk to the very attractive seafront and marina. The room was very comfortable with all the facilities you would expect from a good hotel. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of options to suit all dietary preferences. Charlie and Julie-Anne were very welcoming and attentive and contributed to an overall enjoyable trip.

On arrival we received a warm welcome from Julie Anne who offered to help with the luggage. The room was very much to our liking with good quality furnishings and fittings and the bed was lovely and comfortable. We were in one of the suites which gave us a comfortable seating area to relax in. The shower room had an excellent lay out with good excess to a large shower unit. There was a very good choice of breakfasts beautifully prepared by Charlie and served by both he and Julie Anne who were excellent hosts throughout our stay.

My husband and I stayed at The Briarfields for 2 nights last week. Charlie and Julie-Anne were absolutely amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them.The hotel is lovely and immaculately clean, our room was at the front of the hotel by the main road but with triple glazing it was so very quiet enabling us to have a wonderful sleep. As for the breakfast……. absolutely delicious and plenty of choices. We had a full English on day 1 and avocado on sourdough with bacon on day 2. Charlie also made pastries and muffins for after which were so tasty. The location was perfect, about 15 minutes walk to the beach, harbour, restaurants and shops. WE did turn up early ,just to ask if it was OK to park the car up and come back at !4.00 hrs to book in. And they said Yes and that the room was ready and we could go straight in . Charlie grabbed the suit case and said follow me , Took us to the top of the house and show us to an amazing room with on suite bathroom ( shower brilliant ) there is also an AC unit that we did make use of as it was a tad warm that week we where there . Also had a fridge that had fresh milk and water in , and fresh milk every day. the bed very comfy , room smashing. The breakfast top notch could not fault any of it , The stone away Black pudding wow . My wife had different breakfasts as you can choose what you would like in the morning. Charlie. made buns of different types and put them on the table for us to try , not for me but the wife loved them, Also the bedding was changed on the Wednesday. Thank you Julie-Anne and Carlie,

The only place I would stay in torquay,2nd time I've stayed here, the owners hospitality,rooms and breakfast is exceptional,very personable and they go the extra mile for you.i would recommend this establishment to anyone,can't wait to visit again and I'd like to thank owners for for a superb weekend,be back very soon
