Carlton Court

"It was Carlton Court, Torquay revisited for us in August this year (2025)We last stayed in May 2015. We were warmly welcomed by Paul and Lynn who now run this delightful guest house. Our room was called the Fern which was bright and airy and beautifully decorated with a King size double bed and en-suite shower room with lovely plump,soft white towels. It had everything you can think of to make your stay comfortable, a mini fridge which was replenished daily with freshwater and milk, Tea, coffee with a delicious treat of a delicious homemade flapjack. There’s Bathrobes and slippers should you need them, hair dryer,safe deposit box and free wifi. It really was a pleasure to come back to after a day out and about. We stayed over a weekend so we were able to have a delicious freshly cooked breakfast, also available with fresh fruit and natural yogurt, a selection of cereals and fruit juices and of course toast, tea or coffee. It’s situated in a quiet area with its own free car park. It’s within a short walk to the seafront and a 20 minute walk to the marina where there are a good selection of bars and restaurants."

Elmdene

"Il Elmdene era eccellente in ogni modo. Questo era un ultimo minuto di aggiunta al nostro itinerario, e non posso parlare abbastanza di belle camere, delizioso colazione, e degli ospiti amichevoli e affascinanti Trev e Kim! Ci hanno fatto sentire così benvenuti. Ci hanno fatto saltare fuori dalla spotlessezza di questo storico letto e colazione. Abbiamo apprezzato anche la posizione. Era proprio lungo la strada dall’Abbazia di Torre e a pochi passi dal mare. È stato in una zona tranquilla con parcheggio facile. Raccomando a chiunque visita questa parte di Devon di rimanere nella bella Elmdene! Un esempio di ospite, mentre andavamo via, Kim ci chiese se avessimo bisogno di acqua o di qualcosa per il nostro viaggio? Le ho detto che avevo preso una bottiglia d'acqua dalla stanza, e lei ha detto: “Bene, è stato tuo per il ricevimento! Vorresti un altro? “Erano gentili e amichevoli, forniscono un bel tè, biscotti e latte fresco per la nostra suite lussuosa, nonché vestiti e mutandine."

Court Prior Boutique B&B and Apartment

"Having walked straight back out of our original booking in Exeter, we arrived in Torquay only an hour and a half after booking Court Prior from a very quick internet search ! Pauline and Anthony were extremely welcoming and our room was fantastic - super comfy bed, plenty of space, lovely en-suite. Their attention to detail is amazing - having opted for Earl Grey tea at breakfast, we returned from our day out to find supplies had been left in our room also. The breakfast are great - wide choice of fresh local produce - it makes such a difference to have food cooked to order. There is a lovely lounge downstairs, well stocked with books and dvds, and each floor has a small fridge on the landing for drinks - with ice provided. We had a lovely 5 night stay - a great location for exploring the area - and would thoroughly recommend! "

"This was our second visit and we will certainly be returning. You could not find a more welcoming B&B anywhere. The rooms are very comfortable with more amenities than you would expect. The location is terrific, the rooms spotlessly clean, and the service level is exceptional. The Charterhouse

"I had the best time at Charterhouse, the owners are so lovely, warm, and welcoming. The room was cosy, comfortable, and clean, there's also a mini fridge, which was really handy. Breakfast is delicious with a great selection. The coast is a 5-minute walk away as well as pretty country trails. If you just want to relax, Charterhouse has lots of spaces to do so, and the added bonus of a pool. Cannot recommend highly enough, and I look forward to my next visit."

"Un bel luogo di matrimonio. Molto ragionevolmente prezzi e eccellenti per soldi. Il cibo era abbondante e cucinato eccellente. Tutti gli ospiti e il personale hanno dato un servizio eccellente, niente era troppo difficile per loro. Le belle viste e le foto del giardino sono state ben viste, e hanno fatto il nostro giorno molto speciale."

"Grande hotel, la camera era bella e così era la zona della piscina! Andammo il fine settimana all'inizio del semestre così c'era un sacco di famiglia là e bambini. Ho sentito che la settimana è meglio se non vuoi molti bambini intorno, ma per noi non era una questione. L'hotel è molto grande e ci sono molte cose intorno. È anche in una grande posizione vicino alla spiaggia, parchi e passeggiata dalla città. Ci siamo davvero goditi il nostro soggiorno qui :)"
