Riviera Lodge Hotel

What a lovely hotel! We booked this the day before our stay, and I can honestly say we were not disappointed. The owners are so nice and simply cannot do enough for you. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast menu has plenty of choice and the food is beautifully presented. The hotel also has a fully stocked bar with a snack menu. May I recommend a mojito by the pool..? I have noticed that there is a false review on here. This is another hotel down the road with a similar name. This hotel is in a quiet location with a private garden area and pool. Nowhere near a tennis court! We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked an extra night. Thank you

Outstanding hospitality in this gorgeous small hotel. Lovely breakfasts with a variety of options. Very tastefully decorated. The lounge and bar is well appointed with games options including a pool table. Lovely conservatory overlooking the pool. The pool was ideal for us and the hot tub under the wisteria was a great place to unwind.

This was a last minute booking. When we arrived Nikki and John made us feel so welcome and throughout our stay they could not do enough for us. The hotel and rooms were spotless. The bar and conservatory area was a lovely place to relax as was the pooland thank you John for the great music. Breakfast was very good with a good choice of food. You never know having searched on line if your expectations will be met but it's so nice when they are surpassed. Run by a really nice couple who really care and know how to please. Can't fault a thing and the pool was an added bonus. Thanks for a great stay.

We have stayed at the Riviera Lodge on a number of occasions over the last 5 or 6 years and I think we'll be going back for many years to come, in fact, we've already booked again for next September. As always, hosts John and Nicki were fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and the rest of the staff are also friendly and efficient. There are a variety of room types available all of which offer exceptional value for money. We always stay in the Deluxe Double Suite Pool View room which offers lots of space with a sofa and two small tv's, the bathroom has been recently refurbished and now has a great walk in shower. Breakfast is served in two sittings and you can choose your preferred time slot when booking in, breakfast is served until 9:45 and you choose the items that you want from the list provided, this works very well. You can also orders snacks between 12:00 and 16:00, the sandwiches are lovely and fresh and are more than enough to see you through to dinner. Although the hotel doesn't offer dinner options there are some great restaurants to choose from in and around Torquay, these are some of our favourites: The Waddling Duck in Babbacombe, The Breakwater Bistro in Brixham, The Barn Owl in Kingskerswell. The facilities at the hotel are fantastic, there is a wonderful outside pool, an outside Jacuzzi, lovely tropical gardens with sun loungers (it feels like you are in the south of France), a lovely bar area and conservatory with views across the pool and gardens, a pool table, and a great selection of drinks that are very competitively priced, we loved going back to the hotel bar for a couple of drinks and a game of pool after our evening meal. The Riviera Lodge is an adult only hotel which makes it a great place to relax and unwind, there is no smoking allowed in the main building but there is a pleasant outside smoking area. As you can probably tell, we absolutely love this hotel and I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody thinking of booking a holiday in this lovely area of the country. One final point, there are a couple of earlier one star reviews that absolutely do not apply to this hotel, they were meant for a similarly named hotel but the reviewers have posted them against the Riviera Lodge in error, please ignore these reviews.

This was our 1st time in a travelodge and we loved it ! Our room was lovely light clean and comfortable and very big ! We only stayed 1 night but really enjoyed it . The staff were lovely and breakfast was delicious gluten free bread would have been nice though . But gluten free cereal is available. Would definitely go back again
