Convenient location - walking distance to the city center, yet away from the downtown hassle. There's a nice café at the ground level of the building and an Italian pub in the cellar. The flats are large and classy furbished. Modern equipped bathroom and smart TV, contrasting with the vintage furniture. Stayed in a business apartment. Easy check-in and access with the access code received via WhatsApp. Came by car and found parking next to hotel without problem. The breakfast, served in the Italian pub, was rather poor - a few cold (ready made) omelets, some veggies, cold cuts and sweets. I asked for a warm omelet, expecting the cook to prepare a fresh one and received one of the cold omelets reheated (tasting worse than the cold omelet). Therefore, in my opinion, is better to book the accommodation without breakfast and get your brunch elsewhere in the city - there are so many options around. Another detail that I disliked was an ugly church right across the hotel, which ruined not only my view but also my Sunday morning, with a noisy religious service.

Hotel eccellente - personale amichevole, fantastico colazione con deliziose scelte e caffè. 10-15 minuti a piedi a Piata Unirii - si è sentito molto sicuro a notte camminando attraverso un quartiere residenziale. We spent two nights at the Hotel Reghina Blue. We have some very positive comments about some features and enjoyed our stay, but it could easily have been made much better. The hotel is situated further than we anticipated from the city centre. It is a good half hour's walk to Victory Square. We discovered later that there is a useful tram line (no 6) but there was no information about this at the hotel. There is free parking in front of the hotel and in a car park at the side. The hotel is modern and is decorated with interesting old photos of Timisoara buildings of the past. Our room was large with plenty of space for our luggage. It was clean and stylish. The bed was a little firmer than I like. The bedside lamps did not direct light to the bed and so it was not possible to read in bed, and it was necessary to get out of bed to turn them on and off. Otherwise it was a pleasant and comfortable room. The bathroom was fine and the shower worked well. Wifi was free and the signal was strong. On our first night we dined in the hotel. We had only just arrived in Romania and did not have any local currency and so thought it would be easiest. We had a very decent meal. The atmosphere was somewhat lacking as we were almost the only people there, but the hotel could not do anything about that. Breakfast was included in the price and was a self-service buffet. Some of it was very good: cold meat and cheese, bread, cakes and fruit. The hot offering was less appealling. It looked as if the fried eggs had been on display since the restaurant opened at 7am and were still there an hour later. The sausages, too, were lukewarm. If these items had not been present I would have thought it an excellent breakfast. The staff could have been more helpful. Only the breakfast waiter made an effort to be welcoming to guests. We found on our first evening that the safe in our room was not working. Perhaps it needed new batteries. We told the receptionist who came to have a look. She was not able to solve the problem herself and said she would get someone to come and deal with it the next day, but this never happened. We were given a map of the city which was very useful but we were given incorrect information when we asked about changing money and buying a ”vignette” to allow us to drive in Romania. We were directed to a bank along the road but this was closed and looked as if it had closed down a long time previously. Fortunately a very helpful lady in the travel office next door helped us to buy a vignette online and directed us to a nearby exchange office. The staff in the hotel really should have done this. They could also have told us about the tram mentioned earlier in this review. We only found out about it when we went to the tourist information office in the centre of the city. There was a pleasant courtyard garden and an outdoor swimming pool which we would have enjoyed if we had visited in the summer.

Wir waren zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Das Bad war größer als der Durchschnitt, und mit einem Bidet ausgestattet, was sehr selten, dafür umso angenehmer ist. Die Klimaanlage lief auf Grund der Temperaturen auf Hochtouren und kühlte das Zimmer angenem, so dass ein guter Nachtschlaf möglich war. Die Betten waren außerhalb jeder Kritik. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, was sehr angenehm ist. Der hoteleigene Parkplatz ist ausreichend groß. Das Frühstück bot für jeden Geschmack etwas. Die angebotenen Speisen wurden frisch nachgelegt. Das Obst und Gemüse war frisch und von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Wir werden das Hotel immer wieder auswählen.

We stayed at this hotel with a tour group and it was generally, quite satisfactory. It was situated about 1 km from the centre of the city and away from the crowds and thus, was conveniently located. The walk to the city centre was an easy and flat one. While the hotel did back onto a railway line and our room faced that direction, our sleep wasn't disturbed. Rooms were comfortable but not huge. The one glaring drawback was that the breakfast area really wasn't big enough to cope with the number of guests, with queues forming for everything. In fact, the area was like a pop up breakfast room, with things stored in cupboards around the room. Breakfast itself was average. There is plenty of parking for guests.

I have chosen Mercure Timisoara and it was the best decision because this place really gave me the perfect accommodation experience. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area close to the city center and from the 4th floor (where my room was located) it offers a great view. The room was astonishing: spacious, modern design, all amenities needed and a large comfortable bed for an excellent sleep. On top of that, the technology inside the room was amazing because everything is digitally controlled using a tablet. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast that offered a lot of choices and all of them were great. There is an outstanding restaurant inside the hotel where I had both lunch and dinner and I can easily say I had a real international dining experience because the menu includes dishes from all over the world. Special thanks from my side to Mr. Florin Cojocaru (the hotel’s general manager) for his great hospitality, friendly attitude and willingness to help me with anything needed in order to have the perfect stay at the hotel. I highly appreciated that the management is really focused on creating the highest standards, so the guests can have the best experience during their stay at this hotel. Thanks to Mr. Cojocaru and his amazing team I had a wonderful accommodation experience.
