"I really loved this hostel! I booked a room the day before and let them know I'd be arriving very late. The receptionist told me I could pick up the keys from the safe near the hostel entrance. I arrived at 10 PM, opened the safe, took out my room key, a note with my room number, a village map with parking, and a letter with the hostel rules. I was alone in a quadruple room and could choose any bed! The room was clean, the beds and doors didn't creak! The shared showers were also very clean! The hostel was very quiet; at 10 PM, there were two guests in the kitchen watching TV. The kitchen area was very clean, perfectly tidy, everything was in its place and labeled! In the morning, we had breakfast, and there were two or three guests in the kitchen. The receptionist came in the morning and was very friendly. Parking was easy; at the entrance to the village, there are signs indicating the daytime and free overnight parking. The parking locations would be clear to any foreigner like me. It's a 5-10-minute walk from the parking lot to the hostel. Only the laziest people want to drive right up to the hostel door. Deer wander around the hotel at night. It's probably very crowded during the colder months, but in January it's very quiet and cozy. I really liked the hostel; it was reasonably priced and immaculately clean! I stayed in a similar hostel in Sydney, but for that price, the kitchen was filthy and there were a lot of guests in the hostel. If I ever come to Australia again, I'll definitely stay at YHA Thredbo!"

"Julie e Greg erano ospiti meravigliosi, veri e caldi, erano molto accoglienti - sopra e oltre! L'alloggio era molto comodo, tempestoso, confortevole e pulito. Doccia erano calde, bagni sono stati aggiornati negli ultimi anni. Le opzioni di colazione complimentari sono state ben curate per: yogurt, frutta, tosta, opzioni cereali e croissants! La zona accogliente di fuoco e salone è stata particolarmente speciale con vista fantastica. Molto consigliabile."

"We arrived at 9pm from Sydney, had booked the restaurant for 8.30pm but were rudely told "you are 1/2 hour late and the kitchen is closed" no apology. The hotel was probably cosy and nice 50 years ago, but is now completely run down. Awful old furniture in rooms. Bed had no headboard. Bathrooms need renovation. freezing bathroom floor. Old windows, broken mechanisms. Wi-fi doesn't work. No service, no welcoming atmosphere. Just so disappointing and soooo expensive. Go somewhere else."

"Un hotel di base 3 stelle in una posizione eccellente e buona qualità, con personale amichevole. È un ottimo panorama, la camera era pulita e letto comodo. Il bagno sarebbe utile con una finestra di apertura o un ventilatore per fermare la forma.Un paio di sedie e una piccola tavola sarebbe bello come un paio di bicchieri.In generale, rimarremmo lì se visitassimo Thredbo, sì."

"Un bel posto per stare con gli amici. I sedie a piedi sono a soli 10 minuti. Il parcheggio auto è a P1, P2 e P3, 10 minuti a piedi verso il basso. Libero. 15 minuti a scarico è consentito nell'appartamento di Kara. Questo è l'unico sconvolgimento. La splendida casa era costituita da queste inconvenienti: cucina completamente attrezzata, bella sala di soggiorno e balcone per guardare le montagne. Una serata più tranquilla, i cangurosi sono venuti a mangiare le finestre!!"
