Hotel vicini a Parque de Street Workout a Terceira Island

My partner and I stayed at the Angra Marina Hotel late November 2023. The Hotel was located in Angra Do Heroismo overlooking Mount Brazil and the harbor. IT was a perfect location for our walking adventures and we took in the beautiful city of Angra Do Heroismo enjoying the local beauty of the town, the cafes, shops and of course the wonderful Christmas lights displaying the festivities of what was to come later in the month The front desk staff were wonderful, accommodating and the hotel's comfort and restaurant and breakfasts were great and we began our day in the beautiful dining room and end of day the comforts of our very nice hotel room. We could not have found a better place for our stay in Terceira as we journeyed from there to Lisbon and Porto but retained the wonderful memories of or stay at the Angra Marina Hotel! IT was wonderful!

Nice, modern hotel, and we had a very nice updated room with lovely views of the ocean and the Fort. Pretty good breakfast too. Free parking so you can walk about 10 minutes to get to the heart of the old town for shopping and restaurants. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only very small thing we didn’t love was that to get to our room on the 3rd floor we had to walk by the open door of the gym - typical gym smells emanating so wish they would have left the door to the gym closed. Other than that, a great stay!

Ons beste verblijf van de 6 Azoreneilanden/ Our best stay of the 6 Azores isles We verbleven slechts 2 nachten op 7 en 8 juni in een junior suite. Zeer ruim met een verblijfsruimte en bijhorende kleine keuken, slaapruimte met erg ruime bedden, badkamer en terras met uitzicht op de oceaan. 2 televisies aanwezig. Gebruik gemaakt van het buitenzwembad en van het bubbelbad. Erg vriendelijke receptie. Prima buffetontbijt met zeer grote keuze, ook aan vers fruit. De waren werden telkens opnieuw aangevuld. Het hotel ligt vlak iets boven de oceaan. Ertussen is er een 'wandelbaan' langs waar je op ca 10' stappen in het centrum van Praia komt met o.m. het O pescador restaurant. Zo kan je je auto bij het hotel laten staan en heb je gelegenheid om de Azoriaanse wijnen te proeven. Het was veruit ons beste verblijf en ontbijt van onze 6 bezochte eilanden (Sao Miguel,,Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico en Faial). We hadden er normaal een dag langer willen verblijven maar onze planning voor de binnenvluchten en bootverbindingen liet en dit niet toe, daar er niet alle dagen vlieg- en bootverbindingen met alle eilanden (na Terceira, Graciosa) zijn. Komen we ooit terug naar de Azoren, dan is het in de eerste plaats Terceira , met de Atlantida Mar. We stayed in a junior suite for just 2 nights on the 7th and 8th of June. Very spacious with a lounge and associated small kitchen, sleeping area with very spacious beds, bathroom and terrace with a view of the ocean. 2 televisions available. Made use of the outdoor pool and hot tub. Very friendly reception. Excellent buffet breakfast with a large choice, including fresh fruit. The goods were constantly replenished. The hotel is located just above the ocean. In between there is a 'walking track' along which you reach the center of Praia after about 10 steps, including the O pescador restaurant. For example, you can leave your car at the hotel and you have the opportunity to taste the Azorian wines. It was by far our best stay and breakfast of our 6 islands visited (Sao miguel, Terceira, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico and Faial). Normally we would have liked to stay there one day longer, but our planning for the internal flights and boat connections did not allow this, as there are not all days flight and boat connections with all islands (after Terceira, Graciosa). If we ever come back to the Azores, it will be Terceira in the first place, with the Atlantida Mar.

Anche se l'hotel è di 2 stelle, ci sono standard di base che un hotel di 2 stelle dovrebbe avere. Per esempio, la toletta era disgustosamente rotta e sporca (è costoso 2 per comprare una nuova). Le docce avevano tende che erano sporche e si sono legate al corpo quando avevamo una doccia. Sappiamo che il bagno è dagli anni '60, ma crediamo che anche un bagno dagli anni '60 possa essere migliorato con il tempo. C'era un sock sotto il letto che significa che la camera non era pulita. Il condizionatore d'aria era rotto e in un'isola estremamente umido e nel mezzo dell'estate, questo non è molto bello. Le tazze di carta nella vasca, che, anche se comprendiamo che sono amica del pianeta, erano disgustose e potrebbero essere sostituite da quelle di vetro. Il caffè istantaneo era molto cattivo, non c'era frutta e se sei una persona che non mangia pane o cereali dolci non c'era nessun'altra opzione disponibile. E 'in effetti una posizione fantastica, ma dato che l'isola è così piccola, qualsiasi altro hotel lo farà. Tuttavia, se ti piace il campeggio di questo hotel è perfetto.

Struttura posizionata in altura a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro storico di Angra do Heroísmo. La struttura si presenta nuova luminosa ed elegante negli arredi. Camere dotate di tutti i confort con letti comodi, bagno con cabina doccia, set di cortesia e asciugacapelli. Ottima la biancheria con cambio giornaliero degli asciugamani. A disposizione cassaforte, e bollitore d'acqua con caffè solubile a disposizione, come the' e bustine di zucchero. TV al plasma (non ci sono canali italiani). Ottima la pulizia in tutta la struttura. Colazione a buffet superlativa con ampia scelta di prodotti sia dolci che salati. Molto gentile e cortese la ragazza adetta al servizio nella sala colazioni. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!

Location in heart of city can't be beat, at least not in mid price range: surrounded by shopping and restaurants. Front desk staff could not be nicer, always available and eager to help. A lady who works hard to keep breakfast food stocked, and there's a delicious cake/sweetbread on offer. Small but clean, efficient room, and I had a Juliet balcony overlooking Rua da Rosa; photo of town harbor as wall art. I had a nice sized bathroom and shower; a tripmate complained of a tiny, flooding shower, so maybe I was lucky. Would be nice to have a small area somewhere with a set of dumbbells just to keep in shape, especially with all the irresistible food around.

A superb hotel for our stay in Terceira for 3 nights. We stayed in a large one bedroom apartment which had a small kitchenette/living area and huge bathroom. The free garage parking was appreciated in an area with limited parking. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town. Our apartment was on the second floor with a large glass fronted balcony which overlooked the boat yard and sea beyond. The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived with reception providing directions to the secure underground parking for our car, the restaurant staff who were friendly, helpful and professional and housekeeping. The breakfast was superb it included a large buffet with everything from local cheeses and cold meats, bread, pastries and even fresh honey draining from the honey comb. There was also a cooked breakfast on offer but as the buffet was great we didn't go with cooked option. We also appreciated the option to have a barista made coffee with breakfast if desired.

We were a family of 5 adults vacationing in the Azores. We booked 2 rooms, one for 2 guests and the other for 3. The hotel is right in the Center. It is not new but has had some renovations. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants & some sights to visit. The Reception Staff was very welcoming. The rooms are small but clean. The bathroom was updated but small . It was our wedding anniversary and in our room they had a bottle of champagne and some Portuguese pastries to welcome us. A very thoughtful gesture. The breakfast was good with the typical hot/cold breakfast items. Housekeeping was good as well. We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend.

During my 2-week trip around Portugal, Quinta do Espirito Santo is the most favorite. It is not only just a place for a stay but a place providing an authentic experience with the stories of Terceira Island. I stayed 2 memorable days here with Francisco -the owner who is also a very knowledgeable history teacher and museum director, and his wife, just like one of their family members. The manor itself (including the hotel's main buildings, subordinate houses, and a lovely tropical garden) is a mirror of the island's background, speaking to the maritime history and the special geographical position of this island. All the furniture and decorations have their own stories and histories. The host couple is very friendly, helpful, and talkative, and we always had very interesting talks. The rooms are very clean and atmosphere. This is a unique oasis of Terceira and Azores which makes a trip very unusual.
