After a day or so staying here, you pickup a theme that this place just needs a big chunk of inves**ent. The villas are rather run down and not matching the decor on the TUI site. Lots of little bodge repairs with exposed mains, lights fittings hanging on by 1 of the 4 screws, missing cupboard doors etc. some of the pictures are also of an unrelated restaurant business down by the beach. The beds themselves are terribly soft and uncomfortable and the “sofa” is just a single bed with two pillows. Unlike other guests, we were lucky enough to get aircon but only on one floor. Would have been unbearably hot for anyone without this! While the cooker was obviously a recent replacement, the kitchen utensils aren’t complete. No bowls, no coffee jug, no kettle, no tumblers or wine glasses, corkscrew not the right size to extract a cork etc. the list goes on. If you’re looking to have breakfast or an evening meal in the villa, you’ll struggle. The pool itself is a lovely temperature but very cloudy and remained so all week. Looks like the filter isn’t up to the job at hand and needs upgrading. While there’s a lovely area for lounging round the pool, there’s a chronic shortage of seats and parasols. You really need to be at the pool before 9:30 to reserve a parasol or you won’t get one all day. There’s easily enough space to triple the number of loungers and parasols and each day you see a steady stream of disappointed faces looking for shade. Some other reviewers have mentioned paying for loungers. This is no longer the case but you need someone to be poolside when they setup and unlock the loungers. The Nora eating area serves basic food but be prepared for a really long wait for service. The staff don’t seem to scan the room so you’re best off walking up to the bar to order and pay. Overall, I think we were lucky with the room and looking at other reviews and pics, I can understand guests frustration and it could have been worse. As a family, we enjoyed the week and learned how to work around the issues but it’s not somewhere I’d recommend and won’t be coming back. We’ve been to similarly priced accommodation in the Algarve on previous years so it’s definitely possible to get better value for your money

Hotel com excelentes instalações. O sítio perfeito para aproveitar o bom tempo do Algarve. Próximo de uma praia fantástica. O pacote de escolhi foi de alojamento e pequeno almoço. O único ponto fraco foi mesmo a qualidade do produtos no pequeno almoço. Os sumos são de pouquíssima qualidade, mini pastelaria quase inexistente e wafles muitos más. O mesmo se repete ao jantar. Decidimos jantar no hotel e o buffet é muito pobre e sem qualidade. Não sei se está relacionado com os pacotes all inclusive que maioria dos hóspedes tem, mas acho que é um ponto a melhorar para a satisfação dos clientes. Adoramos na mesma, mas sem dúvida que caso volte, farei as refeições fora do hotel.

If you're looking for a great place to chill Herdade da Corte is where you need to go. A Rio Grande style and feel about it, surrounded by fabulous hilly views, orange, lemon trees, olive groves, and pure adulterated silence. You hear the whisper of the breeze throughout the outdoor areas which have casual seating dotted about, a sweeping view, and a to die for salt-water pool. If you want 5 star service and a butler this isn't the place for you! Our favourite time of the day was a leisurely hour and half munching our way through the buffet breakfast, consisting of 4 different freshly made juices, a good selection of local produce, bread, rolls, pastries and cake, cheese, cold meats, fruits, yoghurt, and natural cereals - while idly looking out to the hills. There's also an array of teas, and the coffee is via a machine which is good - but goat's milk! We've travelled the world extensively and it's rare to find such a place. If you want to jazz up your time there Tavira is charming, along with Tavira Island. You do need a car if you stay at Herdade and want to visit many areas, however, we had read other reviews and knew that - but we just wanted to relax there and do nothing! We stayed 4 days and did venture out 1 afternoon to a restaurant in St Luzia. Local taxi, very nice driver. 20 euro each way (same prices to Tavira) about 15 minutes journey. The owners Joao and Francisco are cool, interesting guys, very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area , local produce, wines, and activities to do there - hiking, etc. Good massage also available in relaxing room. €50 Personally speaking, we dossed (an English word for lazing about) around the pool , helping ourselves to the well-stocked honesty bar, with the occasional beer/glass of wine, absorbed in a few good crime novels. Please note: after breakfast there is NO food available until 7pm. We knew that and brought along our own snacks, nuts etc. The evening menu is mainly cold, very good local produce - oh, please try the prawns (they hot). We tried almost everything on the menu during our stay - couldn't fault anything. My husband arrived completely knackered (another old-school word for tiredness) and after almost 4 days rooted to the place said he felt like the Six Million Dollar Man! Rimai in questo hotel per il secondo anno in fila dopo il matrimonio di mio cugino l'anno scorso. Mi piace assolutamente questo hotel. Il cibo è sorprendente come i servizi forniti dall'hotel. Ha una vibrazione molto rilassante e tranquilla. Speciale grida ai barista: Keegan e Pedro! Sono davvero occupati della mia famiglia e io. Ci hanno fatto sentire molto benvenuti e ben guardati. Sono persone molto speciali e interessanti con cui mi sono davvero divertito. Sono felice di averli incontrati, e fanno anche cocktail fantastici. Un altro grido speciale al Team Animation, essi erano senza stanchezza nei loro sforzi per coinvolgere gli ospiti nelle attività divertenti quotidiane intorno alla piscina e fornire un divertimento sorprendente nelle sere. Sono tutti incredibili divertitori e molto buoni a guardare gli ospiti e a coinvolgere le persone. Ci hanno aiutato a creare un sacco di buone memorie durante il nostro soggiorno qui. Il contatto personale di questo hotel è certamente lì. Tavira Island è a pochi passi da barca. Puoi anche ottenere un taxi dal fiume dalla piazza dell'hotel fino a Tavira Town. Adoro la vibrazione di questo posto e penso che questo sarà un hotel della mia famiglia e vorrei visitare regolarmente in futuro per le nostre vacanze familiari. Sono arrivato tardi in serata, ho bisogno di una camera doppia per mia moglie e per me stessa. Purtroppo, tutte le camere adattate dell'hotel erano già state prenotate. Consapevole delle difficoltà che ci presentano, la signora molto utile al ricevimento ha chiamato il suo partner per discutere della situazione. Alla fine della conversazione mi ha informato che, dopo aver discusso con il suo partner, avevano convenuto che potremmo passare la notte in una delle loro suite familiari accessibili allo stesso prezzo di una stanza adattata; per considerarla un'abitazione gratuita. Aggiornamento in vista delle nostre circostanze! Questo rappresentava un notevole sconto. Abbiamo avuto una notte molto comoda all'hotel, e una bella selezione di colazione scelte la mattina successiva. , in bellissimo ambiente. Il personale ha aiutato a garantire che le nostre esigenze fossero soddisfatte, e non posso apprezzare abbastanza l'esperienza. Un bel hotel in tutti i modi, e un hotel che consiglierei a nessuno. Questo luogo stupendo mi è rimasto nel cuore. Molto pulito, raffinato e di buon gusto. Tutto al posto giusto. Il personale molto disponibile. Molto comodo anche se si vuole raggiungere l'oceano in pochi minuti in macchina. La prima sera abbiamo anche cenato sulla terrazza coperta, molto carina e particolare. La colazione? In una magnifica terrazza in cima alla struttura, dove si possono gustare cibi e specialità del posto e non. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo se saremo da quelle parti.

When we first arrived at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and introduced themselves and gave us some water. Very polite and professional. We did have to wait around for about 15 minutes or so just in the outside bit before we were taken inside to the check in area and could actually check in but this was not too bad but it would have been helpful if the staff could have explained why we were waiting as we weren’t quite sure what was going on and why we weren’t being taken through. However, once in to the check in area the staff were all great and explained all about the hotel and facilities and where we could find everything and seemed genuinely friendly and happy in their jobs and genuinely happy to help which was something we really noticed and appreciated about the staff at this hotel. It is an all inclusive hotel and the experience really is all inclusive and everything from the food to the activities they provide is included. The food was of excellent quality and a really great variety every evening, we enjoyed the different theme nights they had and the street food market was exceptional and such a great vibe. We really had fun that evening. The theatre shows were lovely and you get to see all of the wonderful staff from around the hotel performing at these shows which was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed rock and ria and also the live music evening out by the pool. Overall this hotel provides brilliant evening entertainment and it’s something different each night. As well as all of this, there are lots of fitness activities you can join in with I really liked the aqua fit in the outdoor pool and the yoga/ pilates classes early in the morning. They also had an indoor pool and spa. Segways to hire, and lots of other brilliant activities taking place throughout the hotel. One thing is for certain, you will never get bored at this hotel. My husband and I had a lovely couples massage which was relaxing and overall a great treatment. The weather was very hot and so we didn’t stay for the indoor pool but went straight out back to the outdoor pools. The outdoor pool is wonderful and very big lots of space for everyone and some seating areas as well as a waterfall area which was so refreshing. There are also specific kids pool areas which were shallow and undercover from the heat which was nice for my friend and her baby. The day cabanas are extra and you can book them on the app. There are only a few so try to book them as soon as you can. My husband and I and our friends both did this one day and it was well worth the money as the sun was particularly strong that day and so we had the option to close the curtains from the side that the sun was strongest. The general seating area by the pool is also fantastic as there are plenty of beds and you can usually find one either in the shade or in the sun depending on your preference. Our room was absolutely lovely, extremely clean and spacious- with a hot tub which we unfortunately

There is a shared laundry room for guests’ use. Fuseta central square, where all locals meet, is 200 metres away. Restaurants and cafés are a few steps away.Guests wishing to explore the beach can catch the ferry heading to Fuseta Island in 5 minutes’ walking distance, and enjoy a 5-minute ferry ride to the island, that they can catch on the beachfront.Olhão is a 10-minute drive away from Estudios Salinas, and Tavira can be reached in a 15-minute drive. Fuseta-A Train Station is 500 metres away, offering access throughout the Algarve. Faro International Airport is a 30-minute drive away from Estudios Salinas – Fuzeta.

Lovely hotel if a bit old fashioned in places. Was able to check in early which was a bonus. Ladies on reception lovely. Room On the 3rd foor overlooking salt plain with afternoon sun. Only 1 lift worked for most of week but didn't cause us any issues. Room nice although the small fridge was in wardrobe cutting down hanging space. Could have done with more drawer space. Water in fridge taking up room but charged if used. Free bottle of water on table on arrival was a nice touch. Room cleaned every day and towels changed if u left them on the floor. Breakfast was good especially the omelette cooked to order. Found that lots of tables were used but seemed to take ages to get cleared away. A couple of the staff just seemed to walk about just picking up the odd thing and not cleared full table. A few times the food was empty but just had to wait for them to get replenish. Lots of sunbeds available might have been due to the high number of golf parties staying at the time. Pool towels available from the spa. Overrun with pigeons although they were putting wires up over the pool while we were there. Pool icy cold only a few brave people went in. Spa pool slightly warmer. Jacuzzi but not very good was expecting bubbles not just a couple of jets. Had to wear shower caps which were 4e each. Bar service long wait to be served needed more staff the two people serving were run off there feet. Tavira was lovely with good choice of restaurants both sides of river. Loved Nikatas just in a little side street but needed to book in advance. Visited the nearby indoor local market lots of fresh fish and veg. Went on the land train which was well worth it if very bumpy over the cobbles. Used the ferry to the beach for a couple of hours. Stunning beach which went on for miles. Fab weather. Would we return... Probably if wanting to visit Tavira again
