Hotel a 3 stelle a Taupo

Perfect location with good facilities and worth the money... Recommended for Taupo stopover or longer stay...

La stanza è molto grande, la posizione è buona e il parcheggio gratuito.L'hotel è il più grande lago di acqua di acqua della Nuova Zelanda.Le strutture dell'hotel sono molto nuove, il letto è molto grande, il WiFi è buono.L'hotel è molto vicino alla città.

Room is clean, tidy and spacious. Nice to have a balcony but it is by the side of road. A private kitchen or kitchenette is not included but there is a large common kitchen in the 2/F. Like most hotels or motels there, there is nobody in the reception counter from 8:40 pm to 10 am next day. Good to have free undercover on-site parking.

Four of the 8 to 13 year-old nephews and I stayed for one night on the way to the snow. It's hard to find a place that can accommodate 1 adult and 4 kids but the 2-bedroom motel unit 8 was brilliant for us. The boys first glimpse of the snow was the excellent (ok, it was distant) view was from the primary bedroom. Really welcoming staff and brilliant to have the short walk to the hot pools. There is a full size fridge, everything we needed in the kitchen for our stay, and a large enough dining table for us all. The bunk room is pretty tight, and 5 sharing a bathroom took a bit of arranging, but it was welcoming, warm, and great value for our family group. We will have to come back, we spent the evening in the pools and didn't manage time for the boys to try out the giant bouncy pillow.

We had Rm 303, 3rd floor. We loved the fabulous view of Lake Taupo. We liked the proximity to eateries. Beds were comfy, so were pillows and sheets. Staff we saw were frirndly too. But, this motel had its heyday in the 1980s and is in need of a full refurb. It shows. Lift was noisy (outside our room). Traffic noise noticeable, motel is on a very busy road so couldnt leave window open. To access the bedroom one had to go through the bathroom (toilet not separate). Or, if you were in the 2nd bedroom, you were trapped in there until the person finished in the bathroom. Light switch for bathroom in the kitchen. No air con/heat pump. Only portable fans or oil fin heaters. Everything tired, although clean. Shower pressure not strong and you have to step up into it, and step down to get out of it. Could be an issue for elderly or people with mobility issues. We thought there are newer motels that are better value in Taupo to stay at.

La facilità di essere in grado di controllare senza andare alla ricezione è una caratteristica utile (arriviamo in tempo per vedere il gentiluomo che aiuta a controllare la ricezione), non abbiamo usato le strutture complete della sala e della cucina. La stanza e il bagno erano puliti. La stanza era un bellissimo letto presentato, comodo e funzionale per quello che ci serviva durante il nostro soggiorno a Taupo. Mangiavamo in Thai piacere, a pochi passi da qui e avevamo un bel pasto che venne immediatamente e con buon servizio.

Arrived in Taupō on Hwy5. Make sure to stop and viewing spot on entry to town with a wonderful panoramic view. The Acacia was easy to find on the road running along the lake edge. We were met in reception by Christine who made us most welcome and engaged in easy conversation. She was most accomodating & upgraded us to room 11 at the front of house with direct views of the lake across the road. Wonderful and very generous. The room was huge by any standard with a kitchenette and private balcony. This really made our stay that much better. There is a Hole in One golf competition opposite the hotel. Shots are to a floating target green in the lake 100m with a $10,000 prize for a hole in one. Had to try that! Thank you Christine you made our stay perfect.

Quello che hanno annunciato non era come quello che abbiamo trovato . era cresciuto e mantenuto , gli edifici circostanti caddevano e si arrampicavano , sembrava un campo di campeggio di bilancio che nessuno guardava . Siamo stati li 10 minuti e abbiamo deciso di non poter restare. Ha cercato di dire che era buono e potevamo avere un'altra stanza, la stanza era la meno preoccupata, era la terra era spaventosa ! Concessai pensavo che sarebbe stato un po' rustico, con il senso del tipo di cottage, ma dopo aver guardato intorno mi sentivo sveglio tutta la notte sperando che non fossi ucciso nel mio letto 😳 camera anche stuffed come vapore e molla, Il bagno non era pulito , l' ambiente era cresciuto e sembrava una città fantasma o un posto da un film di orrore .
