Shandwick House

What a find. Super host. Room was spotless, spacious and the breakfast was superb. Will be back when next in the area. Perfectly placed in the centre of Tain but away from the Main Street. Private Parking provided at the side of the property ♥️♥️♥️

Very comfortable and spacious room with good views. Friendly hosts, lots of parking space and easy breakfast. Good provision for gluten free. Easy access into town and for local walks. Good gluten free meal at Platform 1864 Restaurant at Tain Station.

Great wee place. Nice rooms and really friendly staff. Could not have asked for more. They were also able to cater for my daughters dietary requirements. No bother at all. The breakfast was really tasty and they had a really good selection of cold as well as hot options.

Another great stay at Shandwick House. A warm welcome from Dennis on arrival. Spotlessly clean throughout. Superb breakfast in the morning. All the facilities that you'd need. Plenty of parking on site. Will return when next visiting Tain.

The whole house, rooms, shower, bed, breakfast & mine host were 1st class, I will stay again if in the area. I had a grat sleep and the perfect base for my work in the Kyle of Sutherland. I enjoyed the town of Tain also , got a gaircut at 7.30pm and a great fish supper.

The service was great, the host was lovely, welcomed us in and showed us the rooms. Breakfast looked great, but we left early so didn’t get to try, but he still offered us toast or cereal before a certain time. The rooms were cosy looking, double bed with arm chairs, little window, hot water bottles on the bed, kettle with tea and coffees. A little heater if needed but the rads were on and provided enough heat. The bathroom was lovely too, shower with hot water for as long as you need. Great pressure and towel rack. Free parking by side of building. Could fit 6-8 cars. Defo worth a visit if you’re up in Scotland.

We had an exceptional stay at this bed and breakfast – the warmth and friendliness made it truly outstanding. The breakfast was delightful, exceeding our expectations. Denis, the host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, ensuring our every need was met. Highly recommend for a charming and hospitable experience.

Beautiful room in this comfortable guest house. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic - huge range of cereals, muesli, granola etc, plus fresh raspberries, blueberries and other fruit, followed by a first rate cooked breakfast. Our host was very helpful and friendly, too. Highly recommended!

One of the nicest B&B's I've stayed at, and I've stayed at a lot through work. The host greeted us on arrival and couldn't have been nicer. Very Very clean room with a good size en suit. Ample parking, Good breakfast. I would go out of my way to stay again.
