We just finished an absolutely fantastic week-long stay here for the Women's World Cup. The staff is absolutely lovely and they went out of their way to help me out as I was on a scooter/crutches from an injury back home. We especially loved our chats with H who works overnight. The room was perfectly sized for my best friend and I and the bathroom had enough space for the two of us to use the mirrors in the morning as well. They even provided a little chair I could use in the shower as well. The hotel is located in a lovely brick building that used to be a convent and there are little portraits going up the stairs with historic information about the location. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic place to relax with a drink in the afternoon or evening and they have an evening Gin & Tonic cart where you can have a personalized cocktail for $10AUD. There's also a reasonably priced Honour Bar where you don't have to worry about being overcharged just because you're in a hotel. There's also a liquor store about 7 minutes away by walking if you want to bring in your own ingredients. The pastries available in the morning were delicious, though we did opt for local cafes generally after our morning coffee and tea. Really enjoyed Al Taglio and Shaffa for our local meals (pizza and Mediterranean) which are to your left and right as you exit through the Albion exit. The Surry Hills neighborhood is super charming and lovely. It's only about 5-7 minutes from Central Station and multiple other bus lines, so it's easily navigable from the airport and around Sydney in general. Absolutely loved our visit and we will 100% be back.

Rumore, pulito, stanco.Luxurio? Ho trovato più lusso nel sud australiano che qui. In primo luogo, la mia stanza era rumore - veramente rumore - principalmente dal rumore dell'auto del distributore orientale che corre proprio davanti a lui. E' chiaro che questo è un problema noto perché forniscono un po' di scusa agli orecchini (vedi foto). I dispositivi sono vecchi, i commutatori di luce, il letto laterale orologio / radio. Non c'è un singolo porta USB di carica in nessuna parte che possa trovare. C’era un pannello di potenza casuale, che si affollava sotto il tavolo del letto, e la testa del doccia era libera e si sprayva dappertutto mentre faceva una doccia. Ho chiesto che fosse fissato, come era quando tornai, ma pensi che fossero rimpiazzati il mattone di bagno saturato che dovevo usare per spruzzare l'acqua? No, naturalmente non lo erano. Lo shampoo/condizionatore fornito ha una scrittura così fine che chiunque abbia bisogno di più di +1 occhiali di lettura deve trovarli per scoprire che cosa è - idealmente prima di andare in doccia. E poi devi trovarli di nuovo per scoprire come spruzzare il sigillo in argento completamente inutile ... L'orzo a letto è stato montato tra il muro e è stato un sacco di spruzzare per entrare nel LHS. Nessuna cena tardiva o opzioni di bere in o vicino all'hotel. Ci sono poche opzioni per la colazione, probabilmente la mia colpa per non averlo verificato.

I stayed at the ACE for 2 weeks during a recent business trip and I was very impressed. (And when it comes to hotels. I'm not easy to please to please.) Most importantly, the rooms were super clean. As a bonus, the bed was comfortable too. The restaurant had good food and the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. For a hotel, the gym was pretty good with treadmills, a rowing machine, dumbbells' up to 50lbs and Kettlebells. My only complaint is that the bar area gets very loud. I could actually hear the bass coming from the music on the 4th floor at night. I asked to be moved to a higher floor and after that I had no issues. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Ho prenotato questo per il nostro soggiorno di anniversario. Lo facciamo di solito ogni anno, quindi non mi aspettavo molto, ma ciò che differisce da quello che abbiamo fatto è il loro dolce gesto di lasciare alcuni dolci trattamenti con saluti. I usually do not post reviews, but I had to this time to share my experiences. I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023) Plus point -Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge. -Bed is comfortable, -Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong) Hotel staff, is a on and off experience. The night ones tend to be more ”cold” and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the ”better” ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name) Now on to the exciting part... Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert. ( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation) We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it) Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening. I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it. Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did. By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use. I was wrong. Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it. We found out when we were back in evening. We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose. Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did. Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback. From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part) Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again? Unlikely.

4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ho organizzato un gruppo di 74 anni di età, una riunione 50 anni dopo il diploma di medicina. Tutti erano così felici. Il GM Klaus era molto aziendale nel organizzare un 'diner' gala per noi in una stanza separata. Il personale del desk è cortese e utile. Le camere erano piccole - ma molto elegantemente progettate. L'illuminazione sottile e piacevole. Le letti comodi. Raccomando questo hotel a chiunque. Grazie.

Sai, questo tipo di cose. Oxford House ha messo tutte le mie caselle sopra, ma ha anche messo una casella che non era molto importante prima di questo soggiorno. È tutto sul servizio clienti. Amiamo tutti il personale, ma le nostre signore preferite erano Carla e Alisha. Non c'era niente di sforzo per Carla e lasciatemi dire che ha le capacità di fare le cose. Il nostro viaggio è stato complicato con viaggi in ospedale diverse volte al giorno e siamo stati riempiti di emozioni e stanchi . Passando da quelle porte di una sera, mi sentivo quasi come a casa. On the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???

La posizione è stata fantastica per esplorare gran parte di Sydney con facile accesso alle opzioni di trasporto / passeggiata a molte aree di interesse. La camera era grande con una grande cucina e zona di pranzo/sala, come la camera da letto. La camera da letto è stata scaricata in dimensioni e la doccia è stata trovata un spazio limitato sopra il bagno e l'acqua combo non era facile durante la posizione delle coperte. La decorazione sta diventando un po' datata nella stanza. Rimanerebbe a causa della posizione e dimensione della stanza.
