We checked in late at night. The staff was very welcoming and nice. Upon entering our room, you could see the filth on the carpet. Stains and dirt everywhere. You can see food wrapper on the floor, which was probably left by the last guest. There were stains on towels. The body wash and conditioner bottles were both empty. When we tried to sleep at night, that's when we realised it was very dusty in the air and had given us an allergic reaction. We could not stop sneezing throughout the night. The ventilation was not very good. In saying that, the bed and bathroom were both clean. I raised my concerns with the front desk manager during check-out and he acknowledged the issues professionally. However, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Location is good, easy to go everywhere and not that far from central station. Clean room and bed is comfy. They also have their coffee shop so it's convenient to grab cup of coffee in the morning.

This hotel is in a great location in Surry Hills. Steps away from the heart of Surry Hills on Crown st and yet also steps away from Oxford st in Darlinghurst. Tons of awesome food options (late night ones as well) are scattered around. The hotel is also about 15 minutes walk from central station and 15 minutes walk into the CBD or Chinatown, so it really is perfectly located. The staff are also very friendly and responsive to the needs of guests. I requested to change rooms for excess noise and they were able to upgrade my stay to a balcony room because of it. In terms of cleanliness, the carpets in the room and tiles in the bathroom need a good deep vaccuuming as there are particles and debris scattered around. Additionally the fresh towels are never quite the cleanest - I always found red, brown or black marks throughout the towels, in addition to hair which was not mine. There are also a lack of amenities - no fitness center or pool available. There is also guest laundry however it is for an outrageous price of $12 a cycle which is asinine. There is a nice cafe on the ground floor however, which is open to about 4pm everyday. It had good brunch food. Otherwise this is a great fun, quirky and colorful hotel and I would definitely be back!

Quircky, great location, friendly staff, quick service and awesome coffeeshop inside... perfect

I booked this trip for business travel purpose. This boutique hotel is average for a 3 days 2 nights stay. I requested higher floor & quiet corner as I always having hard time to fall asleep but to no avail. Anyway I understand they were fully booked. Overall stay was satisfactory. Easy to get around too.

"Couldn't upload all photos on trip.com" so what you see is not what you get. Buyers beware. “Would be wiser next time if you complained earlier" so reaching out to the hotel two hours after checking in isn't early enough. We stayed for another two nights so more than enough time to fix the mistake. We were given the wrong room type with no furniture at all. We had no table nor sofa despite photos on trip.com showed that the King room has at least one of them. So we had to sit on the carpet to write postcards like a toddler. The bathroom is so tiny opening the bathroom door would clash with the shower screen Glassdoor. And the shower screens had huge gaps so water is everywhere after each shower. Of course there were no photos of this on the app either. Artistic exterior. Amateur interior.

Check in time 2pm but the room was not available until 3 due to not having been cleaned, so we had to wait in the lobby. Dirty washing and rubbish left in hallways for hours after checking in. Touch card system not reliable. Staff told me they are difficult to use. Self streaming on their tv’s obviously has a time limit as it would log out part way through a movie then I would have to go through their process of gaining access again. Front desk manager had back turned to reception desk upon checking out and was on a personal call. I had to wait for several minutes for him to get off the phone before I could check out. Not sure why but the smell of the whole building was quite nauseating and unpleasant.

Lovely staff great venue! All u need for a short stay but don’t expect a fridge in every room, one bedroom did not have one Also very wacky carpet

Location is only accessible by bus, train station is 15-20 minutes walk away. Do take note as transportation in Sydney is quite expensive. First glance of the room is that the bathroom isn't same as advertised which I didn't get the chic design bathroom just a normal ones, the room design as well, in reality the room is much darker and only bright white sleeping light which really not helping with the ambient lighting. Amenities are okay, shower, conditioning and shampoo are provided. Would recommend this hotel if you have a tight budget.

Very quiet and clean which I think it's the most important thing for a stay.

All new facilities. Good size room but with no outside view. Overall good experience.
