"If you don't mind hotels with old nuances and so-so service... Then this hotel might be the right choice. A few useful tips for you: order from the application with the lowest rate, choose the lowest class, do not order the service with breakfast, most importantly ... Lower expectations as low as possible
Plus: the price is very cheap, the publish-rate is even cheaper than some apps. Their lowest class (July 2022) is only 270k, 290k with breakfast (usually fried rice delivered to each room). The location is right in the heart of Surabaya, next door to Plaza Surabaya, Surabaya Square, Submarine Monument, and 5 minutes walk from Gubeng Lama Station. And oh yeah, each of their rooms is equipped with a bathtub.
Minus: some of the interiors seem gloomy and many are already dull. The swimming pool is so-so, but not child-friendly, the shallowest part is 1.2 m and there is no clear barrier with the bottom of the pool sloping to a depth of 1.9 m, so parents who invite their children to swim here must really accompany and ensure children just play along the stairs to enter the pool. Coffee, tea and toiletries provided are only for one person each, except for two towels which look very dull. The choice of food is very limited, the additional menu offered is very expensive, it's better to order online service
Two notes that bothered me quite a bit;
1. A sizeable tax arrears sticker on the front window of the hotel. With the pandemic conditions getting better, I hope you recover quickly and get over it...
2. In the morning I was about to go to the swimming pool, access was still closed, it didn't really matter, the receptionist responded quickly, it's just that at that time there were several young people from nowhere, I can confirm that they were not hotel guests, talking very noisy , two of which smoked from the lobby all the way down the hall to the pool without noticing the surroundings. One of the youths who previously smoked, still wearing trousers and a t-shirt, entered the swimming pool, then used soap in the pool. Enough to take away my mood"

"Siamo arrivati con un bambino di 2 mesi e 2 anni alle 13.30, ma si è scoperto che fino alle 15.00 avevamo una stanza, hanno detto che c'era ancora una lista d'attesa, ha detto la signora Tirta. La situazione era anche che mio figlio di 2 anni ha vomitato nella sala d'attesa per così tanto tempo che non è entrato nella stanza per riposare e alla fine un altro ufficiale del CS ha immediatamente ripulito le tracce del vomito di mio figlio. Sì, prima di sposarmi, se volevo pernottare venivo qui, ma poi sono rimasto davvero deluso. E comunque, hanno avuto una doccia in piedi invece della vasca da bagno, se la vasca era in attesa, ha detto la signora Tirta. forse 1 ora dopo (credo) duuuh"

2. Nonostante le riparazioni, le camere mantengono un ambiente confortevole, fornendo agli ospiti un livello soddisfacente di comfort durante il loro soggiorno.
3. Il personale dell'hotel è particolarmente amichevole e utile, contribuendo positivamente all'esperienza complessiva degli ospiti.

YYongbuyanbaikkC'è una sala fumatori, c'è un SAP all'11° piano e dalle 9 alle 15 c'è uno sconto del 20%. C'è una piscina al 17° piano, la biancheria da letto è comoda e c'è molta acqua calda! Il nostro volo partiva alle 9:50 del mattino. Se avessimo ordinato il servizio Grab alle 6:30, un autista avrebbe ritirato l'ordine rapidamente. Prendere un taxi per l'aeroporto sarebbe costato meno di 40 yuan. Siamo partiti la mattina presto e abbiamo chiesto all'hotel di prepararci la colazione in anticipo~

GGeriI always liked Swiss Bel. SURABAYA Manyar can improve. Breakfast they were clearly shorthanded.。couldn't find staff when needed and also the food was cold and not replenished in timely manner. Was a disappointment . When i went to the pool in evening, it was occupied with big group of guys and it was clear i was not going to be able to even swim. It's a lap pool but I think many take it as s giant group jacuzzi. Again, no sign of stsff around.
Otherwise nice bed and room is good size.

I recently stayed at ARTOTEL TS Suites Surabaya and had a mixed experience. While the hotel offers modern design, spacious rooms, and a gym for guests, there are a few areas that need attention to improve the overall experience.
🛋️ Ambience & Design:
The hotel features a modern, artistic design that creates a trendy and visually appealing atmosphere. The lobby and communal areas are stylish, welcoming, and set a positive tone upon arrival.
🏨 Accommodation:
The suite was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for rest and relaxation. However, I encountered a few cleanliness issues that affected my overall experience:
Cobwebs on the sliding door, which made the space feel neglected.
Stained bedsheets, which were disappointing and did not meet expected cleanliness standards.
These issues suggest that the hotel could benefit from improved attention to detail and housekeeping standards.
📍 Location:
While the hotel is centrally located, it is next to an abandoned mall, which creates an unwelcoming, deserted vibe—particularly at night. This choice of location takes away from the convenience and appeal of staying here.
💪 Fitness & Facilities:
While the hotel lacks a pool, it does have a gym that is well-maintained and offers a good way to unwind or maintain your fitness routine during your stay. This was a nice addition and added value to my experience.

PPolka13Didn't expect my stay to be that satisfying. As my last experience with an old hotel (Hotel Elm*) didn't leave a very good impression on me. But I decided to stay anyway because of the good reviews of this hotel.
Turns out, it was all true. The front building was built in 1913, now with the famous red dome-shaped canopy on the windows, still very well taken care of. They built another high story (around 9) building, which the hotel rooms were. I was surprised that they had some stories for parking lot, too. And this hotel was formerly managed by Ibis.
I booked a superior room, because they said that their standard rooms were mostly smoking. The bathroom was very clean, the walls were marble patterned so you can't see it from the photos. But I assure you it was clean, and didn't smell weird or anything. The hot water and the pressure were perfect.
The room was very comfy, too. Bright on the day and the lamps were bright enough for the night. Very nice and quiet, too. Bed was wobbly and too bouncy for me, but still comfy. Too bad the sheets had weird yellow stains on them. But it smelled new and fresh. Maybe the stains just couldn't come off. And I still had a good night sleep.
They also provided us with water dispenser, so I could refilled my bottles. But there was no fridge or hair dryer (but I think you can ask for this) in the room.
Check in and check out were super fast. And although part of it was an old colonial building, it didn't feel spooky or anything.
Breakfast was nice, but I think the milk wasn't fresh. It tasted weird.
The only minus side for me was the restaurant and common areas, although fully Air Con'ed, were ALL smoking areas (except the floor for superior rooms, I think). So I had my breakfast in peace and a person on the next table smoked, inside the restaurant, inside the hotel. Sorry but I hate smokers who smoke inside. I get it that people used to smoke everywhere, even cigarettes were considered safe for kids and pregnant women once. But it was decades ago, dear Mr/Madam. Please update!
But did I mention that I got the discounted superior room with breakfast from Trip.com for less than $20? Yes you read that right. 4-stars hotel with 2-stars hotel price. Would definitely come back again if I get the chance.
