Property is beautiful. Full marks for the layout. The approach road is extremely rough and narrow. Approx 2km. We reached around lunchtime and we're super hungry. Upon arrival the welcome staff wasn't aware, what's available in the kitchen, how much time it'll take for room service. That's like basic!! Overall the welcoming staff looked low in confidence and energy. They weren't sure about anything in their communication. We started having our doubts as we had also read about the bad google reviews already. We got a free upgrade to villa. It was awesome. I only wish the jacuzzi had hot water. Service overall can be 💯 improved. Quite a few reviews on Google also indicate that. And I believe they're working on it. Especially the food part, chef Pradip personally supervises closely every meal buffet; checks on the guests for feedbacks, so I see some sincere effort. Small things in the buffet spread like keeping cut boiled eggs instead of whole, keeping idlies in hot steamer do make a good difference in the experience. Idlies and Sambar- the more we start going away from Bangalore or Chennai, the outcome is not perfect. Not sure why, the chefs can work on learning the authentic recipe, as perfect idli and sambar can make Bangaloreans and Chennaites just so happy, howmuchever common this breakfast may be! Our ala carte lunch order on our arrival day was freshly made. Vikram from the staff was really helpful, proactive and courteous. Food came quickly as required. Daal and mutter paneer both were delicious & hot fulkas were great surprise. Dinner buffet was widely spread, they tried to give a variety and taste. However, service is where they can hugely improve. Smallest things like keeping sufficient spoons/forks/knifes stock on each table, serving drinking water proactively we're not happening. The manager was simply checking with everyone about feedback with some shallow nonsense talk like aap kaha se hai etc. Instead he should be prompt, ready and alert on what's required on floor & pay attention to service more. Getting rid of the cat that keeps coming to dining area and steals food the moment the guest has gotten off the table is basic, as not all are friendly with animals. Plus the cat eating leftover food and bones while the guests still having their food is a disgusting sight! All these I could notice without any hospitality background then why can't they. I was and am genuinely interested in working on those areas for them. They ideally deserve 3.5. But instead of cutting half, I'm giving them bonus half for the efforts they're putting in. Hope this motivated them more. If good reviews are not followed in the upcoming days, I might change the rating 😂
