Scandic Sundsvall City

Nice silent room in central Sundsvall. Breakfast was good. Fresh carpets etc. We enjoyed our stay . Easy booking with scandic website

High flexibility, super service and the best breakfast ever! The professional and serviceminded Staff, tried to give us, our best stay. You could feel their egeerness to please and listen. The restaurant has top food and wow, the starters with tuna and the one with permesan & kantarell, amazing!

A totally standard Scandic - if you're a regular Scandic customer. Polite staff, clean rooms (although some Scandics are more than ready for a refit and repaint), good breakfast selection. Nothing exceptional here, but you get what you pay for. A reliably straightforward and pleasant hotel experience.

we have a nice stay! though it’s quite warm inside the bedroom, it is still okay because they have electric fan in each room. standard room is a little bit small but for a one night stay i think it should be ok.

Traveling with a dog can often pose some extra challenges getting a hotel room. This hotel made us all feel super welcome! They even had some complimentary treats for the dog included, and there were food samples in the lobby.

I stay alot at scandic (50-75 nights a year) and this one has the friendliest personnel of them all. I also like the close proximity to the city The rooms are typical for a scandic hotel in smaller swedish cities. They also have a room with toys in the lobby, which is awesome for the kids

A beautiful hotel in the middle of sundsvall. A great place, fantastic people who work in this area and a perfect breakfast. Everything was just great! i can really reccomend this place for short or longer trips/ stays.

However, the reason for the low ratings is entirely the fault of the waitress on the evening of my stay.Her attitude was appalling. I was greeted nicely by her male colleague but it went downhill from there. It was a Sunday evening so the restaurant was quiet. Eventually after being steadfastly ignored by both staff, I got my own menu. All the waiting times were unacceptable. Eventually my order was taken. Again the food took a long time to arrive. By this time, there were just five or six guests, so no discernible reason for my meal to take so long. When the food did come it was ok but not spectacular. The main problem was the tarragon mayonnaise. It was bland to the point of being a waste of calories. The female eventually took my drinks order. I wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail but she was apparently incapable of making one or asking the waiter how to make one. Not enough profit to be bothered I suspected. She was noticeably pleased when I ordered a regular gin and tonic. Sadly, she couldn't be bothered to make it and so I did not get one. Her attitude was so poor, that I decided not to mention it. Not once was I asked by the staff how my meal was and she was obscenely keen to get my payment and get rid of me. Many Swedes can be racist and so as a foreigner, albeit married to a Swedish man, I fell that I fell foul of this. Because of her appalling attitute to me, I will not stay at this hotel again.

The rooms are incredibly small, but the breakfast is amazing.
