Hotel Hafenresidenz Stralsund

We simply wanted to spend a couple of days in Stralsund to see the Christmas market there and also to drive to Rügen. We selected this hotel because of its good reviews, the price was fair and we wanted a comfortable place to stay. When you arrive at the hotel, you can park directly in front at a designated space for checking in and unloading your luggage. The main hotel itself is located on the Baltic Sea and if you have a window towards the back of the hotel over the water, you will not be disappointed. The beautiful view into the vast distance is amazing. This particular room (48) had 3 sides of windows which was not only wonderfully light in the room, but also you had a view towards Stralsund on the left, the Baltic Sea towards the front and towards the island of Rügen and the harbor on the right. Even during winter when the snow is on the ground, it was a charming sight in all directions. I think there is a second building across the street that also belongs to the hotel, but we were in the main building. The hotel location is also very close to the "Altstadt" which is the center of town. You can walk to it easily from the hotel within 10 minutes. It is charming to walk because Stralsund is a lovely city, anyway. The room itself was immaculate, very modern in design, and so spacious! I liked that the floors were not carpeted. Also, the bathroom was a generous size with more than enough space to place your things. Ours had a tub/shower combination, which is what we wanted. We slept wonderfully! The beds are really comfortable and it is a quiet location. We booked breakfast for both days which costs 17 Euros per person per day, and for that you really get a great buffet with everything you could wish for. Even if you are vegetarian like I am, you will not leave hungry. I think there were even enough choices for vegans as well. The breakfast is served in a restaurant (Rockeria) that can be reached from the hall from the hotel lobby, and in the morning gets used for the breakfast guests. Parking is no problem at the hotel. But you need to book a space in advance because the amount of parking spaces is limited. It cost us 11 Euros a day when we were there and you can come and leave as you please. But in about 3-5 minutes walking distance there is also a parking garage so you will at least find something close to the hotel if there are no more spaces available at the hotel directly. If I ever go to Stralsund again, this hotel would be my first choice to stay.

We enjoyed 2 nights in this great hotel right by the harbor. The room overlooked the sea and was bright and clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was lovely. Dinner too was great! We can definitely recommend.

Das Doppelzimmer mit Balkon war ausgezeichnet. Komfortabel und ruhig, angenehm groß mit sehr schönem Bad. Dort zu übernachten ist ein Vergnügen. Die Erfahrung mit dem Frühstück am ersten Tag, war schrecklich! Noch nie vorher haben wir in einem Hotel Aufback Brötchen und Croissant vom Discounter vorgesetzt bekommen! Dazu zwei Sorten Körnerbrot, das wars! Auch der Käse war billige Ware aus dem Supermarkt. Dafür werden 21,- € pro Person und Tag verlangt, was schlichtweg eine Unverschämtheit ist. Das Ganze in einem teilweise überfüllten Raum, dem sogenannten Restaurant „ Rockeria“ . Dort wird im Rest des Tages sogenannte amerikanische Küche, sprich Hamburger angeboten. Es ist wirklich schade, dass so ein schönes und angenehmes Hotel seinen guten Eindruck damit zunichte macht.

Wenn Sie Gast im Hotel sind oder anderweitig wohnen, gehen Sie unbedingt in die Bar des Hauses und erleben Sie Emanuel. Ein Barchef wie man ihn eigentlich nicht mehr findet. Fragen Sie ihn nach etwas Besonderem entsprechend Ihrer Gaumenfreude und genießen Sie seine Kreationen. Sie werden bestimmt wiederkommen…

Schönes Hotel in toller Lage. Wir hatten ein Eckzimmer, was aufgrund der Lage (Promenade, Straße) bei geöffneten Fenstern zu laut war. Speziell hierdurch finden wir das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis als zu hoch. Aber diese Einschätzung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf DIESES ZIMMER in der ECKLAGE. Also bei Buchung ein Eckzimmer ausschließen. Ansonsten empfehlen wir das Hotel gern weiter.

Sehr sauberes und gut geführtes Hotel. Freundliches, aufmerksames und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück. In meinem Fall sehr schöner Blick aufs Wasser.
