Hotel 5 stelle a Seul

L'esperienza è stata grande, il servizio è eccellente ma la posizione è stata un po' lontana dalla maggior parte dei luoghi popolari. La proprietà non è mantenuta correttamente e per un hotel che è solo pochi anni si sente come se fosse in servizio per almeno una decina di più. Non sarebbe probabile restare qui di nuovo dato che ci sono molti hotel migliori in questa gamma di prezzo o meno.

La posizione è buona, proprio di fronte al lago e accanto al centro commerciale Lotte World. La stazione della metropolitana è a 5-7 minuti. Il personale della reception non è per niente disponibile, ogni richiesta viene accolta con un atteggiamento del tipo ”no, non possiamo”. Per quanto riguarda la pulizia e i servizi, innanzitutto il soffione della doccia non funzionava correttamente, l'aria condizionata non ha funzionato la prima notte (è andata meglio la seconda e la terza) e il portaspazzolino in vetro presentava delle macchie al mio arrivo (vedi foto allegata). Nel complesso, non lo consiglio per un soggiorno di lusso, ma se si tratta di una vacanza in famiglia, perché no.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect – conveniently close to major attractions, shopping, and transport, which made getting around so easy. The service was excellent as well. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. Overall, a great experience with both a prime location and outstanding service. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back. 🌟

Il centro Coex di Seoul, a Oakwood Premier, ha ospitato un ottimo soggiorno, e ha migliorato la nostra camera, molto spaziosa e molto comoda. La camera è stata ben attrezzata con tutto quello che ci serviva, tra cui una lavatrice, un balcone, una microonde, un forno elettrico, un pannello di ferro e una grande TV con canali internazionali. La posizione è eccellente, soprattutto per la partecipazione alle esposizioni presso la COEX, che è stato il principale scopo della nostra visita, rendendo la nostra visita molto facile e ci ha risparmiato molto tempo. In generale, è stata una piacevole esperienza con grandi strutture e un luogo perfetto per i viaggiatori di business.

I had an incredible stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. The service was exceptional, with a special mention to Jenna, I met the first day with 6 hours flight delay who went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. The housekeeping team was equally outstanding, ensuring my room was always spotless and adding thoughtful touches that enhanced my stay (Thank you for the yummy chocolate pastries and eye masks). The hotel’s facilities, location, and overall atmosphere were flawless, truly embodying luxury and comfort.  The only minor downside was the mattress, which was a bit softer than I prefer. However, this didn’t detract from the amazing experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Seoul!   Also no worries about restaurants there, many restaurants you can see nearby. The BBQ restaurant opposite the hotel is absolutely amazing! The two ladies there are incredibly friendly and especially attentive to children. The Korean beef and pork are truly delicious, and the kimchi, along with the slightly spicy mushroom soup, is fantastic. It’s even better than the Michelin one-star BBQ beef restaurant I visited the next day in Gangnam.

La mia giusta recensione: ho scelto questo hotel per la vasca da bagno, le dimensioni della camera e l'ottima posizione vicino a Myeongdong (a pochi passi da una stazione ferroviaria). Al mio arrivo, sono rimasto colpito dal piacevole profumo dell'hotel, dall'arredamento delle aree comuni e dalla mia camera con l'enorme vasca. E anche dai prodotti da bagno Natura Bisse. Ma durante il mio soggiorno di nove giorni, ho notato che il mio pavimento non veniva passato l'aspirapolvere (le briciole della cena erano... rimaste per due notti, e anche i rifiuti accidentali sul pavimento non venivano raccolti) e due volte ho trovato capelli nella vasca da bagno. Una volta è successo persino dopo aver richiesto all'hotel di pulire a fondo la mia camera. Questo è l'unico hotel a cui ho chiesto di cambiare le lenzuola quattro volte in 8 notti, perché avevo prurito e un giorno mi sono svegliato con una puntura d'insetto sul braccio. Anche il divano mi faceva prudere il sedere, finché non ho chiesto loro di passarlo con l'aspirapolvere. Ma il loro servizio di recupero è stato abbastanza gentile e ho ricevuto sincere scuse dai gestori. Ci tornerei? Sì, ma in futuro mi assicurerò di fornire tempestivamente un feedback sulla loro pulizia, invece di rimandarlo agli ultimi giorni del mio tour!

Upon check in, we asked for a 2 twin beds room, without even checking by the staff, I already heard no. Then she asked me for my credit card, didn’t even mention how much limits she gonna hold. Anyway. During the stay, there were zero turn down services. I called and asked why and I was told that we had to request for it. First time hearing this from a Fairmont. Totally disappointed. The bathroom lights were flashing (a bit scary at night), light bulbs had to be replaced I guess, called someone to come take a look. Didn’t expect they didn’t even offer a room change. So I guess they came in to fix the light while we were out. On the day of checking out, I called to request for a late check out. Without checking, rejected me. I had to ask again and got an extra 30 mins. Standard check out time is 11am, which is already ridiculous, got extended to 11:30, what a joke. Will never stay here again and might even stay away from all Accor hotels.

The hotel was quite a distance from other more popular attractions but we knew this when we chose the hotel. It is a perfect location to rest and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre which was a perk for us. There is a train station about 3-5 minutes walk away from the hotel if you intend to take public transportation to travel around while in Seoul. It will take about 45-60 mins to travel from the hotel to popular areas like Myeong-dong from the hotel via public transportation. Getting an Uber is easy and pretty quick. It generally takes about 6-8 mins for an Uber to arrive. The hotel will appeal to the slightly older demographic, around 38-45+ years old for its serenity and quiet charm. The cost of the hotel room is slightly higher than some hotel chains in Seoul. Please take note that you are paying for the experience of retreating into nature rather than the experience of a 5-star hotel with the regular bells and whistles. There is nothing inherently special about the suites if you are intending to pay a premium in expectation of it being a conventional luxury hotel. It is important to note the distinction to avoid disappointment. It also appears that the hotel has a more local clientele, rather than an international one. As a result, the front office/concierge was not able to communicate well in English even though they tried their best to. While it was not a particularly troublesome issue, this caused a comedic situation where the front office mistakenly said that the deposit was 50,000 Korean won a night, instead of 500,000 won a night. Please take note that there is also a difference between weekday and weekend check out times. The official check out time is 11am and not 12pm. If you are in Seoul for a relaxing trip, Anto is a great space for it.

La posizione dell'hotel è ottima e la tariffa scontata che ho trovato ne vale la pena. Tuttavia, se dovessi pagare più di 250 dollari, forse dovresti ripensarci. L'hotel è stato ristrutturato nel 2017, ma sembra che i piani inferiori siano rimasti intatti. Il frigorifero era funzionante, ma sembrava che avesse bisogno di ghiaccio secco per funzionare correttamente. Solo il water è stato rinnovato, mentre il resto sembrava avere una finitura vintage. I portieri e gli addetti alle pulizie erano fantastici, mentre il personale della reception era l'esatto opposto. Ho chiesto di poter fare il check-in anticipato, ma mi è stato detto che c'erano diverse fasce di supplemento e che, anche alle 14:00, avrei dovuto pagare un supplemento se non avessi voluto aspettare fino alle 15:00. Immagino che il denaro venga prima dell'esperienza del cliente. Di solito non soggiorno negli hotel Novotel, ma forse questa è la norma? In ogni caso, se dovessi pagare di più, sceglierei una catena più nuova e migliore.

The type of room we had reserved is the apartment type that consist of 3 bedrooms and 1 living room. The size is big but there is no daily service to clean the room. The apartment is located in the front area of the hotel, separating from the hotel. The CU shop (24hrs) was easily to walk in 5 min. The location is far from the subway so using taxi is more convenient.
