The property is secured by a large, access controlled wooden gate; and the apartment has a smart lock with keyless entry. Also directly across the street is the Island Inn Resort which has a great little Tiki Bar on the beach and is open to the public (the pool however is NOT open to non-island inn guests). You can rent kayaks, paddleboards, umbrellas, chaise lounges and more on the beach in front of the Island Inn.A short walk to the south of us is a liquor store, surf shop (with paddle board rentals), 7-11 store with gas, Caddy's on the Beach, Sea Dogs, Shrimpy's and Taco Bus restaurant. About a 10 minute walk to the north of us is Publix grocery store and many restaurants and bars.
