Hotel 4 stelle a Meizhou

This is a very interesting place! 1. It’s far in the mountain, very inaccessible, you must have car, there is no public transport there. we got a driver from the resort’s recommendation, which is very good. 2. No restaurant/food options nearby, we rely on the manager/caretaker, she cooks extremely well, we enjoyed breakfast and dinner there, authentic Hakka food. 3. Rooms are very clean and nice. AI controlled lighting system, automatic toilet, heating tower rack which makes towels warm. 4. Views are excellent, perfect for seeing sun rise. its nice to have a staycation here, the manager is a friendly and capable Hakka woman.

I would definitely come back to this hotel and would recommend anyone to stay there. It felt very luxurious with beautiful touches in the common areas and a gorgeous room. It was quiet and clean and breakfast was quite good. The bathroom has a Japanese style toilet. The location is central and I was able to walk to most things. There are not that many attractions in Meizhou besides the excellent Hakka museum and the overall vibe of the city is more working class. I enjoyed the walk along the river with some beautiful public spaces and parks.

Central location within an upcoming suburban residential area. Public buses to tourist attractions plus meizhouxi train station at ¥2-6 per passenger/trip.

The hotel is conveniently situated at a junction where you can find food very easily. There is also a supermarket nearby so we could just stroll over to grab a yogurt drink after meal. The hotel room looked dated and it’s observable from the design and the bathroom, as well as the carpets. However, the room is reasonably clean and service was sincere, friendly and prompt. I sent some clothes for laundry and the staff took the effort to inform me that the clothes would be hand washed then dried under the sun so they should be ready by evening time later on. She also informed me of the pricing, then went on to ask if I was alright with that. I like it that they are very clear with charges and there is no hidden cost. Service was also very prompt. I asked for more water at the concierge when I came back from dinner and the room service staff was already waiting for me at my room door with the water by the time I got out of the lift. The beds were clean and comfortable too. My aunt and I rested well for the two nights we stayed there. The only negative was probably the air conditioner which was quite loud. But once we fell asleep, it didn’t bother us. There is also a very cute tea set in the room which guests could utilize if they wanted tea. It would have been better if they had given us four bottles of water instead of two. Then we would have been having our little tea appreciation session more regularly.
