Hotel 4 stelle a Leishan

It was a wonderful experience. We got to stay at the most expensive room. The room was spacious having two bathrooms and a big bathtub. From the room, we got to see the panoramic view of the village. First and foremost, the service was excellent. There was a welcome drink and fruit, as well as rice cakes after coming back to the hotel. The staff helped us to carry our luggage to the bus stop too.

I booked this hotel as I had read good reviews. Indeed this B&B is impressive. The room is very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. There is even a bathtub next to the window with a view. You will need to contact the hotel owner prior to arrival at the village so that a porter will meet you at No. 6 风雨桥, which is located about 100 meters where the shuttle bus drop you at the entrance to the village. You will not be able to find your way to the hotel as the entrance to the hotel is rather hidden away. The two young chaps who picked us were extremely polite, cheerful and eager to serve. They carried our luggages where we walked to reach the station of a golf cart type of vehicle. You board the vehicle and alight at the first stop up the mountain (see picture 6). The simple breakfast fare of home-cooked noodle soup with minced pork, hard boiled egg, sweet corn and sweet potato was delicious. The soup base looked bland but it was very tasty. The location of this B&B is superb as you can walk down the slope to reach the village center in 10 minutes. Tip: we took the golf cart vehicle and travelled uphill and alighted at the end (Pastoral Sightseeing area) where there is roundabout for the vehicle to loop back to the terminal. It is recommended to alight here where you will see beautiful vast green pastures and lotus flowers were in bloom. You can then wait for the sightseeing bus (your entrance ticket would cover four sightseeing bus trips) at the opposite platform and it will bring you to the top viewing platform to see the whole village lighted up in the evening. To return to the hotel, you then take the sightseing bus back to the Pastoral Sightseeing area. From here you wait for the golf cart vehicle to transfer you back to the hotel. How I wish someone had posted these information on this Trip.com review platform as it was a bit confusing on how to take the different vehicles in the mountain. Lastly, thank you to the owner of this B&B for making our trip a memorable one.

Il personale parlava un inglese di base, ma è stato molto disponibile e ha cercato di rendere il mio soggiorno il più confortevole possibile. La vista era mozzafiato, la camera era ben attrezzata e la colazione era interessante (cinese). Se volete godervi il vostro soggiorno qui, prendete in considerazione i miei seguenti consigli: - Lasciate i bagagli alla stazione di Kaili o al centro turistico e prendetevi solo il tempo necessario per il vostro soggiorno, perché dovrete prendere 2 autobus e camminare in salita su scale irregolari per raggiungere questo hotel (che non ha ascensori, quindi ci sono più scale per raggiungere la vostra camera). Sarà semplicemente frenetico, quindi depositate i bagagli e arrivate qui leggeri. - Cercate di contattare l'hotel prima del vostro arrivo o contattateli tramite WeChat, poiché l'hotel è difficile da trovare una volta scesi dall'autobus alla fermata; vi verranno a prendere e vi porteranno in hotel, anche se è a pochi minuti di distanza. - Sono stato il primo straniero a soggiornare qui, come turista internazionale. Sono sicuro che amerete il posto, ma tenete presente che solo poche persone parlano inglese e che la segnaletica è in inglese. Il personale dell'hotel comunicherà tramite un traduttore. È facile, ma siate preparati. - Tenete presente che la colazione è cinese, non occidentale, quindi include noodles e verdure, niente caffè. I will give a 5-star to this hotel. It is situated at the top of Miao Village, with excellent view ! Their service is superb, they will meet you at the entrance of the village, help you with all your luggages till the hotel door step. Just one flaw is that you need to walk like 20m of steep steps to reach the hotel, this is not friendly to the elderly, please take note. Apart from this, I will give them a 5-star for everything, especially services of their staff. One of our friends was sick during the trip, she could hardly walk the steps to the doctor, one of their staff ”Xiao Zhai” arranged to call the doctor to the hotel, and admitted her to the hospital nearby. Their staff also help her walked through the steps to the ambulance! When we are about to leave, He also made all the arrangement to get us a car to Guiyang. I will give 👍👍👍👍👍 to Xiao Zhai for all his help, he was an angel ! Not to forget a 🫡 to all their staff !

The staff was very helpful in picking us up at the entrance of the village and they were accommodating in bringing our heavy luggges up the multiple flight of stairs so I feel sorry about this review, but communication could be improved, we felt a bit lost at the beginning. Unfortunately the same feeling persisted during the stay, the initial communication wasn’t good we had to ask everything: from Wi-Fi password, to where breakfast would be (in a different structure we found by exploring) - we had to initiate the “wechat process” to receive all the info. The room has a magnificent view, but the structure is not ready for winter, and neither seems the staff. Although, the heating system was very powerful there were some cracks in the walls and that made parts of the room quite cold. So I recommend this hotel for warmer seasons maybe, but professional communication, regardless of the language spoken, was a barrier. All this gave us the impression the hotel was understaffed or momentarily run by temporary staff, also because the reception was always empty.

Ottima posizione, soggiorno accogliente La guesthouse è ben posizionata, lontana dalle principali attrazioni turistiche ma raggiungibile a piedi, e offre un'atmosfera tranquilla e accogliente. L'esperienza complessiva è stata soddisfacente, anche se la manutenzione potrebbe essere migliorata. Un'ottima scelta per chi cerca un soggiorno tranquillo vicino al villaggio.

We arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.) Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town. We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch. The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special. On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

Even though the check-in time was quite late, the host kindly guided us through WeChat Messenger from the taxi pick-up at Kailinan Railway Station(凯里南站) all the way to the b&b! Even though it was 1 AM, a very late hour, they took us for a walk around the area and used a translation app to explain everything to us in detail, making sure we understood. They even lent us a power bank since our battery was running low. As soon as we entered the b&b, we were impressed by how clean and hygienic everything was, especially the bathroom and shower, which are areas we are most sensitive about. The amenities provided were more than sufficient. The view from the accommodation was also fantastic, with the location being close to an observation deck, offering beautiful views at all times. We also had free water and beverages in the fridge. The host kindly reminded us not to miss breakfast and served pho and snacks that were light and easy to enjoy in the morning. The warm soy milk in the winter was a nice touch. After check-out, we had another chance to explore the area. The host kindly stored our heavy luggage for us, which was very thoughtful. Finally, they explained the way to Kailin South Station and even saw us off. It’s not easy to travel in this area even for locals, but thanks to the host’s thoughtful care and attention for us, two foreigners, our Guiyang trip became a very enjoyable experience. If we visit Guiyang again, we will definitely stay here.

Il nostro viaggio si è concluso al villaggio Miao di Xijiang Qianhu 😆. Questa visita al villaggio Miao mi ha lasciato un'impressione indelebile. Il Boyun Inn ha fatto davvero un lavoro eccezionale! Dall'esperienza del soggiorno al servizio, inclusa la pulizia della locanda, hanno dedicato tantissima attenzione a tutto! 🥳 La nostra governante, Xiao Jin, è stata incredibilmente disponibile e ha parlato con voce professionale. Ci ha persino aiutato con la prenotazione dei biglietti e ci ha consigliato servizi fotografici di viaggio e hotel convenienti e affidabili. Fidarsi della governante è fondamentale; ci ha persino fornito guide e consigli durante la nostra giornata. Le aree comuni della locanda sono spaziose e la vista dal corridoio panoramico e dalla mansarda è mozzafiato! 😍 Ci tornerò sicuramente; è un posto che non vorrei mai lasciare.
