Hotel 3 stelle a Ella

We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly.

Questa è la mia prima volta in questa città e il mio soggiorno qui era sorprendente. Era incredibilmente tranquillo e tranquillo, offrendo una piena immersione nella natura che non si può trovare nelle grandi città. L'atmosfera e l'alloggio erano molto privati. Very good place to stay with awesome views. The staff took great care off us. Only downside to gaving good views the location is quite far from the city centre. So pick me and uber drivers won't take any rides since the app prices are way cheaper so no choice but to pay tourist fares. Room as an electric fan but AC would have been nice.

It’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers. A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off

Отличное место, недалеко от главной дороги, тихо, чисто. Нет ресторана, и отель ещё строится, но в остальном всё отлично. В пешей доступности все главные достопримечательности

Это пятый отель, в который мы заселились в Шри-Ланке и, честно говоря, самый лучший. Приятный запах свежего дерева, чистые, приятные номера, высокие потолки и хороший кондиционер. А главное - одеяла, не во всех отелях есть одеяла. Нас встретили очень приветливо, угостили кокосами. Единственный минус в этом отеле - слышимость соседей. Очень тонкие стены и ночью особенно неудобно, особенно если соседи ложатся спать поздно. Завтрак был очень вкусный и нам предложили попробовать вкусный традиционный завтрак из острой кокосовой стружки с овощами - очень вкусно. А еще здесь неплохой кофе и очень вкусный имбирный чай. В этот отель я обязательно вернусь, он оказался прекрасным дополнением к нашему визиту в Элла.

Dowa Elegance Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. A great place to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka with warm hospitality.

La stanza stessa è ordinaria, abbastanza pulita, il suono della strada è stato sentito, ma è in molti hotel urbani che ci siamo incontrati. Wi-Fi è debole. Ho scelto casualmente la data sbagliata sulla tariffa non rimborsabile, ma abbiamo cambiato le date gentilemente. Rimarrei qui per la notte. Grazie.

We stay here for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience! The rooms were clean and tidy, we got fresh towels each day and new bottles of water! They were happy to tidy the room each day which was the first time we had this on our whole journey in Sri Lanka so was a lovely extra touch for us but we were happy with just new towels and water! They are currently renovating downstairs to build a restaurant so we were a little confused when we first arrived but this did not take away from the experience of the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is in the perfect location on the main road through Ella with bars, restaurants and shops everywhere! With the train station a short 5 min walk everything is accessible. We would 100% recommend to stay here for your trip to Ella
