Hotel 3 stelle a York

Ottima accoglienza anche se in tarda serata, stanza grande e accogliente con tutti i servizi necessari. Unica nota negativa le scale strette per arrivare alle camere, un piccolo problema per chi non può camminare o è anziano. Ottima posizione vicina al centro e non troppo distante dalla stazione ferroviaria. Ottima la qualità della colazione inglese e la gentilezza delle addette alla colazione 😁.

The Galtres... A perfect place to stay in York. Location is great, central, surrounded by pubs, shops, bars, restaurant, a few steps from York Minster, couple of minutes walk to the Shambles, 13 minute walk from the train station. Our room was spotless, checking in was easy, arrived 3 hours early, but room was ready so accessed that straight away. Little bit quirky, I guess no two rooms the same, old fireplace, massive mirrors and a Wimbledon wicker basket at decor. Breakfast was amazing, gorgeous food, great selection and waiting staff always happy to help. Didn't eat there at other times, but the restaurant always looked busy inside and out. Two minor faults, could have squoze a small dressing table/desk into the room, and be prepared for a small amount of noise in the morning with delivery vehicles around, not a big problem though. I would definitely visit again, and recommend anyone visiting York to look at this place as somewhere really nice to stay.

L'hotel offre un'atmosfera tranquilla e rilassante, perfetta per soggiorni di svago e di business. Le camere sono pulite, i letti sono comodi e tutte le strutture standard sono fornite. Il personale è gentile e sempre disposto ad aiutare. La posizione è conveniente, con facile accesso alle attrazioni e al trasporto. Il prezzo è ragionevole, rendendo grande valore per i soldi. Adatto per le famiglie, le coppie, o i viaggiatori soli.

It was a very good experience staying in the Vikings. I would definitely go stay again next time I visit to York. It took us 15 minutes walk to the city centre and there is also some cafe and shops nearby.

Review: I had a pleasant stay at Safestay York Micklegate. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of York city centre, the railway station, the city walls, and major attractions. The building has a historic character, which makes the hostel feel more unique than a standard budget hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The room was basic but comfortable enough for a short stay, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed. For the price and location, it offers very good value, especially for solo travellers or people looking for affordable accommodation in York. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is still a hostel, so some noise and shared facilities are expected. Overall, I would recommend it for a budget-friendly stay in a very convenient part of York.

the breakfast and man running it was amazing, we were stunned with the amount of thought that went into us, even though we didnt pre-book. only fault was that we didnt realise it was a pub (our fault) and it stayed open downstairs for 3 hours past closing time! we didnt sleep well as i think there was some sort of hendo which was very irritating

The staff in reception & at breakfast were efficient & friendly. Free WiFi was for 30 minutes within 24 hours. Did not provide a toilet brush in the bathroom. When asked the reply was ring the reception & someone will pop in to clean the toilet! I had a quiet room in the first floor with a view facing the river. Surprised there was no chest of drawers or shelves to put my clothes. I had to leave it in my suitcase. It would be rather inconvenient for guests staying more than 2 nights. The desk lamp didn’t work. Didn’t see any hair drier in the room.

L'hotel è buono, situato in un bel posto (per i conducenti), parcheggio è gratuito. La stanza era di buona dimensione, molto pulita e tranquilla. La pressione e la temperatura dell'acqua erano sorprendenti, si godevano le nostre docce. Buon avere anche un colazione incluso. L'hotel è pulito e sembra recentemente ristrutturato. Il pavimento è solido. Grande e buona tovagliola, molto luce nella stanza. Il riscaldamento era acceso quando si è reso freddo. Il personale era molto amichevole e bello. Il parcheggio era pieno a causa delle vacanze bancarie, doveva rimanere lontano in un parcheggio in eccesso, bene che ne hanno. L'avvertimento circa 160 commissioni per l'acqua calda con vapore era onestamente spaventoso e inadeguato. Il letto era solo doppio, piccolo per noi, potevamo dormire solo sul nostro lato (il mio marito è grande, io sono medio). Il colazione era delizioso, ma fondamentale. Il caffè (sei il tè o il caffè) in un pozzo era troppo per una persona e non delizioso. Nessuna verdura fresca o/e verdura, nessun formaggio tagliato, nessun pasticceria.

Abbiamo avuto un bel soggiorno al Diamonds Inn. Prenotamo la Standard Suite, Ensuite 3-bed camera che si trova al piano superiore dell'edificio. Una camera familiare molto elegante e compatta in suite grande per un gruppo di amici o famiglia. Ci sono tutte le strutture di base, tra cui asciugamani, shampoo e gel da doccia. Ci sono anche una caldaia elettrica d'acqua, caffè/tea, asciugacapelli e un piccolo frigo! Le letti sono morbide e confortevoli. Le pareti sono sottili e possono sentire le voci di altri ospiti nelle stanze durante il giorno, ma non è stato un problema importante durante il nostro soggiorno, soprattutto tranquillo dopo le 10 p.m. La posizione è molto conveniente, poiché è l'unica pietra che getta via da una delle famose entrate murali, un pub e un ristorante in tutta York Minster. L'ospite era anche carino e amichevole, chiamato a chiedere se potevamo ricevere un check-in precoce e era felice di accoglierci.

You have to call to ask for it. If you are a foreigner and do not have a local number, the call fee is very expensive. The staff's accent is not British or American, which is very difficult to understand. I could not understand the numbers until a neighbor came to help me listen. Overall, it is not okay.
