owner of this property nice and humble personal.. he responded very promptly when needed anything... behavior is good. about cleaniness room is neat and clean. location is near dal lake about 7-9 minutes walkable distance..

I saw reviews of Hotel Alamdar is good and decided to book room here and was in touch with Mr sahil, manager of the hotel. Last day he told that they have room available only in their deluxe property quoting 200 Rs higher for room, i agreed as i was travelling with family and i did not have time to search for another one. He never mentioned the name of the delux property, i thought it is same hotel alamdar. Mr sahil is manager for the other hotel also, hence i thought my review is aplicable for hotel alamdar as well. We stayed in the hotel "Hidden Heaven" from 04th April 2023 to to 08th Apr 2023. Rooms were very small, you hardly have space to walk inside the room once you place your luggage. No almirah, or rack provided to keep your luggage, hence you don't have any other option other than placing them on the floor. Hot water is available only from evening 6 pm to 10 am in the morning .( No power back up available, if there is any power cut, you wont have single light in your room, while we stayed there was power cut from 8 am to 9 am everyday). I found out the reason for the same later. One day while returning from the days tour i saw hotel staff connecting illegal wire to steal electricity. hence they are doing power theft. I am attaching proof for the same. Once i saw this i did not want to be associated with such an organisation which is doing such an illegal activity. I searched for another hotel and found one which was providing me a better room with a carpet at almost half the price. I informed Mr sahil (Manager of the hotel) that i want to check out one day early giving him one day advance notice( at the time of check in i had told that i will be staying till 9th), he threatened me saying that if i dont pay the bill for 9 th also, he will not allow me to check out. I had to take the help of tourist police next day to check out. Pros. 1. Many restaurants are available nearby. 2. Located 1 km away from dalgate which is the major tourist centre Cons. 1. Very small room 2. No carpet provided hence difficult to during cold times 3. No space to keep luggage 4. Hotel staff doing power theft 5. Unfriendly hotel staff, they did not arrange even a cup of tea in the morning 6. Food waste kept at the entrance of the hotel which is an unpleasant sight in the morning. 7. Expensive for the service they provide, you will find much better hotels at this price at Srinagar 8. They did not remove garbage from the room properly. 9. Hot water heater is inefficient, we had to wait for 2 hrs to get hot water
