Tree of Life Lakeside Cottage, Srinagar

When we think of Kashmir, we always felt that we should stay in a five star hotel for security reasons. But this time we decided otherwise. We planned to stay here which is more like a air bnb concept and was amazed to experience a lovely hospitality, especially handled well by Ms Kulsum - she took great care of us, very friendly and i never heard her saying NO for anything we asked for. Excellent staff and home away from home feeling.

The property is charming, clean, and very well-maintained. What truly made our stay memorable was the warm and attentive staff - everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A special shout-out to Kusmaji for her delicious breakfasts each morning. Such a lovely way to start the day!

We would like to thank the owner Mr. Khursheed and his very hospitable and friendly and generous staff led by Kulsum who left no stone unturned to help us feel at home in this beautiful home stay. The cottage is decorated so tastefully and has exquisiteness in every aspect yet so cosy that it leaves all hotels far behind. On top of that each meal was so thoughtfully and deliciously made by Kulsum and made sure no item was repeated. Mr. Khursheed spent so much time with us and giving us great advice about places to visit, shop and also share history etc. Kulsum and her team were always smiling and always ready to help. Srinagar and entire Kashmir is extremely safe and peaceful and people are so polite and welcoming. Can’t thank the team enough for such a wonderful experience and lasting memories.

Excellent home experience. Very welcoming hospitality. Kulsum, the lead caretaker takes note of every single detail. Warm 2 days spent. The food was excellent. Kulsum made whatever we asked. The garden and the views were brilliant. They also arranged for a pedestal fan. Very homely.

Tree Of Life is a great place to stay in Srinagar. It is near the Dal lake and the surroundings are very calm and peaceful. The cottage and rooms are well-maintained. The staff are courteous and take great care of their guest. Kulsuma, who is the head of staff is very kind and made food for our liking. Khursheed, the owner of the cottage would check in on us regularly and arrange for rental cars to various tourist spots. We look forward to coming here again and highly recommend this place.
