Hotel con spa a Hue

The hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment. The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities). The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink! The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally). During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know! The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked. On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”. We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave. The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive. When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

Was very happy with this hotel it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I booked they got in touch to offer any assistance and communication was always quick and helpful .    On arrival , check in was smooth and quick , our bags were taken straight up to our room and then we were escorted by one of the receptionists to show us the room and how things worked .     All the staff were very friendly and helpful particularly the lovely ladies on reception who gave us a map and explained options to tour the sights , no hard sell just honest and helpful . They always said hello and greeted us nicely whenever we returned . They would jump up and press the lift button when they saw us approaching the front door so we didn’t have to wait for the lift .     Breakfast was good , again very helpful and polite staff they were quick and efficient. Housekeeping was also vey good and they kept the whole place clean and tidy .    Would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.     Thank you for a wonderful stay !

Definitely the best experience we've had for a while. Scenery is great, services are top notch, the food is AMAZING. They started out as a restaurant, and now expanded into a resort, so that kinda explains. There're now 2 or 3 restaurants in the resort, serving both local and western cuisines. Breakfasts are free and can be ordered unlimitedly. We usually have heavy breakfasts in the place, then went out to explore the city and the street foods outside. On the last night, we had our dinner at one of their Vietnamese restaurant. And while it's obviously more expensive than the street foods, the portion and tastiness is also at another level. The staffs are very very nice. While check-in, we handed them our passports and that's probably how they noticed that one of our birthday is during the stay. So they gave us a bunch of vouchers/discount for their services. Even hand made a birthday cake as a gift! Wish we stayed longer, and 10/10 would visit again.

Il nostro soggiorno a Hue è stato davvero fantastico, a cominciare dalla posizione imbattibile: basta uscire e si ha letteralmente tutto a portata di mano. La camera stessa è stata un vero punto di forza. Abbiamo adorato le finestre panoramiche e le tende oscuranti erano di altissima qualità, permettendoci di dormire fino a tardi senza essere svegliati dal sole del mattino. La pulizia era impeccabile in ogni dettaglio. Il letto e i cuscini erano decenti e abbastanza comodi, ma ho un suggerimento pratico per la direzione: dovrebbero davvero passare a lenzuola con angoli elasticizzati. Usare lenzuola piatte che si arricciano e si ammassano continuamente durante la notte è semplicemente fastidioso e rovina l'atmosfera altrimenti di lusso della camera. La colazione è stata un vero successo. Il buffet è magnifico, con un'ampia e incredibilmente variegata scelta di deliziose opzioni per iniziare la giornata. L'unica vera nota stonata è stata l'esperienza del check-in. Invece di un'atmosfera calda e accogliente, il personale della reception ci ha subito presentato una rigida lista di ”regole e divieti” con un tono sorprendentemente brusco e quasi scortese. Mancava decisamente quel tocco di ospitalità essenziale. La direzione dovrebbe davvero formare il proprio team sulle procedure di consegna e sul servizio clienti. Ma onestamente, a parte quella strana interazione iniziale, non abbiamo avuto assolutamente nulla di cui lamentarci. È un locale pulitissimo, in un'ottima posizione e con una colazione fantastica.

Having stayed at a Banyan Tree resort in the past, I had high expectations of this resort and I have to say, it did not disappoint me in one bit. Firstly, I have to mention the exceptional service. There is not a single thing the staff are not prepared to do in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Being a Muslim traveller, we had some concerns regarding the halal aspect of the menu. But I'm glad to say that the chefs understood the requirements and accommodated us flawlessly. We stayed in the pool beach villa for my daughter's 27th birthday, we booked two side by side. The villa itself was sensational. Getting up in the morning, walking on your own patio to your private pool, a stone throw away from the sandy beach, it's literally heaven on earth. Again, I will go back to the service levels because this is what truly makes Banyan Tree the special brand that it is. Thank you so much for your hospitality and your caring. Special mention to Nhi, Hung and Tan for making it extra special. The only downside is that it's slightly off the beaten track. A night out in Danang is a 2 hour round trip. But we spent the first 5 days of our holiday doing all the exploring and Banyan Tree Lang Co was the perfect wind down before heading home. I highly recommend anyone looking for a luxury escape in Vietnam, pick this place!

Un giardino per la mia anima !!! Ho scoperto accidentalmente il ritiro di Va Riverside, e si è rivelato un giardino nascosto lungo il fiume Huong. Il paesaggio qui è semplicemente sereno, guardando il sole dorato rifletteto sull'acqua e svegliandosi al suono degli uccelli al mattino si sentiva come andare in un altro mondo. Oltre a rilassarmi nella piscina di rinfrescamento, ho avuto l'opportunità di provare a bordo di padella sul fiume. Uno dei momenti più unici è stato ascoltare le melodie misteriose delle cerimonie Hầu ồng che si scorrevano da Hon Chen Templea veramente autentico contatto della cultura vietnamita. Il colazione locale era delizioso, semplice, ma pieno di sapore, e rendeva ancora più memorabile la mattina.Quello che più si è rivelato è stato il personale, che mi hanno accolto come una famiglia, facendomi sentire a casa, anche se ero lontano dalla mia. Se stai cercando più di un soggiorno, ma un'esperienza che tocca sia i tuoi sensi che l'anima, mi consiglio molto di venire qui. Scoprilo come ho fatto, e forse ti piacerà ancora di più di quanto non abbia fatto.

This is so far the best ever resort I've had the pleasure to stay at. From exclusive and delicious food, to a delightful Spa, this resort has everything you need or want. The restaurants: Moomba, Rice Bowl, Rice Bar and Saffron, offer a wonderful selection of dishes suitable for lovers of meat and fish, and also suitable for vegans as well. The pool is incredible and has a nice little bar. The staff members are beyond friendly and caring. They remember your names, they always ask about your stay and they pay close attention to all of your needs. Especially, I'd love to mention Hien, who was very kind and caring, Linh, a wonderful lady, making sure we had no issues during the stay, and Trinh, who was a joy to talk to when we visited the golf facility. Overall, it was our second time there and we'd definitely go back!

I had a very pleasant stay at Mondial Hotel Hue. The location is convenient—easy access to the city center, Imperial City, and nearby attractions, which made sightseeing very comfortable. What stood out most was the staff. They were friendly, polite, and always willing to help, whether it was with directions, transportation, or general questions about the area. Their warm hospitality really made the stay more enjoyable. Overall, Mondial Hotel Hue offers good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hue and would consider staying here again in the future.

Questo hotel vanta una meravigliosa atmosfera classica, risalente all'epoca coloniale francese. Anche la sua posizione è superba, affacciata sul Fiume dei Profumi e situata ai piedi del Ponte Trang Tien, anch'esso costruito durante il periodo coloniale francese. La colazione nel cortile è deliziosa. Tuttavia, un inconveniente sono le pareti sottili, tipiche degli edifici più antichi. Le camere con vista sul fiume si affacciano su una strada trafficata e il rumore di auto e moto è piuttosto forte fino a tarda notte, rendendo difficile dormire.

The hotel is in a convenient location, about a 20 minutes walk to the old city. Plenty of eateries and shops around. It's also just a 25 minutes drive to the train station (we took the scenic train to Danang). The room was ok and mostly clean, but the bed was very hard and the pillows felt like a sac of potato. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel seems to caters mainly to Chinese tour groups. They are very noisy and unruly. The breakfast area felt like a market, the bread and pastries were stale and un-edible, the bacon was hard and dry. Maybe the Asian fare was good, the continental/western fare was terrible. Would not recommend!
