L'hotel è in pieno centro, tra la high street e la cattedrale. Deve essere stato rinnovato recentemente perché sembra tutto nuovo. Ottima camera, ben arredata e con tutti i confort. Cena ok (prenotata prima) e buona colazione. Abbiamo preso un drink nella terrazza dell'hotel, da cui si ha una bella vista sulla cattedrale e la città. Tutto ok, ci tornerei.

We have driven past this striking red brick building many times over the years and so we were both curious (and somewhat sceptical) to see how this ex- eye infirmary on the Exeter ring road would work as a 4* hotel. The hotel was an eye opener - no pun intended. The high ceilings, hospital proportion corridors and green paintwork all evoke the building's history and yet it is now a handy hotel within 10 minutes walk of the city centre. We enjoyed staying here. We booked 4 nights in a deluxe room with breakfast. The breakfasts were our favourite part of the stay. They are really good and are served in a modern conservatory overlooking an attractive circular lawn and flowerbeds. Breakfast staff were friendly and professional. It was a very nice way to start the day. The deluxe bedrooms are a bit on the small side. We ended up experiencing two! We had a few electrical problems plus a broken safe in our original room but the receptionist found a replacement room in the same category and we moved the second day. Both bedrooms were spotlessly clean. The toiletries supplied are by L'Occitane, and the tea and coffee are by Taylors of Harrogate which is a treat. All in all the only negatives are the slightly eccentric bedroom and bathroom layouts but overall the rooms are smart and the beds are comfortable. We didn't use the spa and pool but they looked good. You need to book spa treatments in advance as they are very popular. Another time.

Come al solito con la mia frequente visita a questa zona, trovo l'hotel Woodbury Park è stato il mio posto preferito per soggiornare. Il personale è carino e utile. È un bellissimo hotel satin, una posizione molto pittoresca circondata da un piacevole scenario. Hotel e camere sono molto pulite e ben attrezzate. Servizi di ristorante sono puliti e impeccabili. Il credito va ai cuochi e alla squadra che ha gestito il servizio. Ho avuto un piacevole servizio colazione durante il mio soggiorno a Woodbury. Spero che il personale e la squadra di Woodbury continuino a lavorare bene e ci incoraggino a usarli durante i miei futuri viaggi in zona.

Eccellente

This was my first visit here after being recommended by work colleagues. The hotel has a strange set out with rooms in different blocks, more like a motel. Unfortunately my room(room 3) had a lot of noise from the adjoining rooms which kept me awake during the night. The food in the restaurant was excellent, no complaints with friendly staff behind the bar. Plenty of parking which seemed secure. Good location right beside the bypass on the way down to Cornwall.

Hotel molto moderno e confortevole, vicinissimo al centro di Exeter. Camera spaziosa e molto confortevole. Peccato per la mancanza del frigorifero, che sarebbe stato utile. Sul piano c'era tuttavia un distributore di acqua fresca e ghiaccio. Buona e vario il buffet della prima colazione. Personale alla reception molto gentile e affabile.

UUtente ospiteWe stayed because our husbands were going to the rugby and the girls having a trip into Exeter. Location of the hotel was perfect not a long walk to the train station for us to get into town. On arrival at 12.30 reception was full queues of people trying to check in or leave bags. A man was sent out to take our car registration and names and then we could wait in the bar until they were ready for us. The boys waited in the bar and we headed off. They were checked in before 3 when they had to leave for the rugby which was good but to be honest we knew we were early and would have been happy leaving the luggage. We were told out of the 3 couples we had an upgrade to what turned out to be an accessible room and to be honest it isn’t an upgrade. I would have preferred the room we had booked which certainly wasn’t accessible. One of the other couples was over charged by £70 on check in - which we did sort out on our return. Whilst shopping we checked to see if our mobile key was ready but no we had to go to check in and do that on return to the hotel so they could Id us seems to defeat the object. On arrival back joined a queue again to activate the mobile key. It seems to be the longest slowest check of any hotel I have stayed in. When we finally got to the front we were given a normal key as it might take a while for the mobile one to work. Good job because it took nearly an hour to activate and then when I tried it it wouldn’t work with my phone. We then went to the bar before dinner again it was packed we managed to get a table but only 2 servers so wait for drinks was a little long. Price was ok. We had a table booked in the view for dinner and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Again restaurant was very busy but the staff were lovely. Couldn’t have water. On the table as the waitress informed us they had run out of jugs, we said we would wait but she said no they had no jugs? She had to keep topping up from a bottle and she wasn’t allowed to leave the bottle on the table. Perhaps a trip to the next door IKEA May have sorted that. The main meal came with various items missing off of each plate, salsa, salad and chips. Overall was nice though. Breakfast was an another matter, we sat in the bar as the restaurant was packed. The design of the restaurant for breakfast is awful. People queueing for hot food past the croissants and bread and toaster so someone is always in the way. The fruit and cold meat and cheeses on the end of the hot line so missed by a lot of people. Only Greek or soya p,Ian yoghurt noth8ng flavoured, ran out of compote and fruit. Had to ask for the orange juice to be topped up. Just very disorganised and badly set out. Now I know it was a busy rugby weekend but the hotel are obviously fully aware of this. The staff were pleasant and the food in the evening lovely, in the morning ok. The room was clean and lovely - definitely not an upgrade though so please don’t make out it was. Fabulous budget hotel! Friendly manager, newly refurbished (just one or two floor coverings awaiting replacement once all the other works are finished), extremely clean, very comfortable bed, hot shower with soft fluffy towels, new air conditioning units recently installed in the rooms. Despite reading mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, I booked due to the price, free parking (just leave registration number at Reception) and easy on-site EV charging and had no complaints at all. No food available currently (except possibly breakfast by prior arrangement), but there’s a Shell garage close by for sandwiches and snacks. The EV chargers are tethered InstaVolt fast chargers (see ZapMap), so the cost per kWh is extremely high. There’s no socket to plug in a Type 2 cable for older EV cars, but these are available at the next hotel up the road, subject to parking restrictions.
