If there was a zero - I would have put that! Went in at 2.30pm and asked if our room was ready - greeted with: ‘the cleaner doesn’t come until 3pm and no one goes in until 6pm’ My husband has a heart condition and had to rest in the car. Awful staff at breakfast as well - we went down at 8.30am as arranged to be greeted with: ‘give me ten minutes, I’ve got a delivery’ No juice or cereals, had to wait and then asked: ‘do you want a full English?’ No … actually, a few options would have been nice! One small cup of coffee offered. Husband was attending a music workshop, at lunch the owner (woman) got the order wrong and was crashing down plates left right and centre. Young male bar staff was pleasant, but every single member of staff was beyond rude. Dreadful stay. Room was OK, but windows didn’t open and the TV was the smallest I’ve ever seen … and about 20 foot away from the bed! Bathroom was OK. Very dated and a very poor experience. Evening meal was OK - but you could only select from half the menu as they had a fish supper on the Friday, so you could have more than a few options. A really really dreadful experience. Never again.

Fantastic place. Great rooms and the B & B was brilliant. Brekkie superb. The bar for locals and visitors was packed. It was lovely and the staff so welcoming. Lovely and reasonable play to stay. Well done all!

Food is delicious, however land lady very rude and abrupt which puts me off returning. Have been to this pub many times and seems to be getting worse, a customer should not be concerned to ask for cutlery for worry of the reaction from land lady! I must add that the other waiting staff are all lovely.
