Sor-Varanger: hotel con bar

Un hotel molto bello. C'erano problemi con il pagamento, ma non era molto perché ”paga domani”. I nostri motori con imballaggio potevamo parcheggiare accanto all'hotel. Volevamo fare un bagno. Per questo abbiamo potuto usare la lavatrice dell'hotel gratis. Così carino! Il ristorante è molto buono. Ci siamo anche cenati qui, che era davvero eccezionale. Il buffet per colazione era esteso e molto delizioso. Per il salmone fresco da qui mi piacerebbe tranquillamente girare. La vista della stanza è stata moderata, dal momento che il centro di Kirkenes non è molto affascinante. Non importa perché dall'hotel si dispone di una buona base di scala per l'ambiente. C'è molto storia dalla T****e Guerra Mondiale. Così si svolge una girata quotidiana Purtroppo non avevamo tempo per farlo, ma deve essere un consigliere. Il porto è impressionante con l'enorme viscosa di crab re.

We stayed here the night before we boarded the Hurtigruten from the Kirkenes Hurtigrutekai, and when we left the airport when we arrived, half the shuttle bus into town was going to the Thon and half was going to the Scandic! In all of these small towns across the coast of Norway have a Scandic and a Thon hotel! We initially booked at the Scandic but changed to the Thon last minute because we decided it might be a better option. We were dropped off outside of the hotel which was set right on the water, just a short walk to the main drag of Kirkenes. We walked into the hotel which was which was charmingly designed, very modern and cozy. Check-in was fast and easy, and the hotel room was nice and very clean! The bed was ridiculously comfortable, super soft, but we had a view of the town rather than the water, which would have been preferable. We went to breakfast in the morning and it was absolutely phenomenal. This was the first of many amazing hotel breakfasts we would experience on this trip and we were so impressed! The selection was phenomenal and the restaurant was set away from the lobby by huge windows looking out on the water. The food was great and it was a wonderful experience. This was a great hotel and though I haven't stayed at the Scandic, I would recommend this hotel if you're ever in Kirkenes — and it was just a 10 minute walk from the Hurtigruten dock.

Our visit to the Snowhotel was so unique and our favourite experience in Norway. We stayed in the Snowhotel and in the cabins, and both were fantastic. The lovely staff was so attentive and accommodating, and went out of their way to help when we had a mishap. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we ate in Norway, and our happiest moments were spent with the dogs and reindeer. Highly recommended!
