Maroma is a wonderful place to visit and revisit. We were there in March and as a testament to the experience, will head back again in December bringing our friends. Beyond the physical beauty is the incredible service. We were so lucky to have Rosa as our guide. The room service was unobtrusive and anticipatory. (a book left open had a lovely book mark to keep our page, next to our glasses we found cleaning cloths. etc). No details were overlooked. Each morning a coffee was served to the room. Not an ordinary pot, but a brew from different parts of Mexico. I am only able to drink decaf so they served me hot Mexican chocolate instead. Wow! What flavors! The Mexican Nixtamal Journey cooking class with Chef Camacho is a must. We had not made reservations and even though they were booked, they graciously accommodated us. I will reserve ahead this time. The food at both restaurants and the bar were so fresh and delicious. The entire waitstaff was charming. Be prepared for a huge breakfast of local dishes. We munched until dinner on the snacks in the room and more served on the beach. Also, a few drinks at the bar enjoying the guacamole. The Maya stargazing was such a fun and unusual evening activity. This time I will make good use of the spa . There were so many activities right there. (communing with the stingless Melipona bees, cooking class, water sports, ) We never left the hotel for 5 days. Why leave paradise?
